I'm recording a video of me playing at 60 fps , while I remap my controls to be anything I want , at the same time text chatting with the entire zone and have TS3 going for voice chat in a controlled manner with the guild , all with my character name being shown.

Though do remember, if console fails to capture an audience then it's likely the whole game will go. I'm sure none of us actually want that.

Although I do understand the arguments of how we need the console......generation....to succeed, don't forget that the prices they charge for console games it could well just be a cash grab for the investors and them move back to concentrating on the PC

Cash grab, yes; but I don't think their focus will move back to PC for some time if at all. Probably depends on how well it sticks on consoles vs how much they somehow manage to retain on PC while all their efforts are focused on console. If both fizzle out, then so does the game.

The whole "we need consoles to save ESO" argument is [snip]. If they never worried about consoles in the first place, the PC version would be in much better shape and would be more popular.

Two scenarios:
- Make a half-assed game and release it across multiple platforms
--Make a great game dedicated to one platform

They might see a spike in sales due to the console launch, but their playerbase/community in a year's time is going to be abysmal because they spread themselves too thin and never get anything worthwhile done. The PC MMO community is probably the most dedicated gaming community out there, and if they just stuck with make a great MMO on PC, it would have been a huge success.

Buuuuuuut nope. Have to have the consoles ruin everything again, and create a cash store. GG

I'm not sure about this. Even though they have put in a ridiculous amount of their resources into the console while neglecting the PC; I still don't think it's too late for them to just refocus on the PC market if it turns out the console was a dead end. It's a huge gamble since MMOs on consoles have never really worked and if it pays off it could be great for everyone. I'm still skeptical though and I just hope they don't wait too long let the ship sink if it doesn't pan out.

If ESO can't survive without the console users, then the game deserves to die. And if it did, then maybe the pc game companies would stop catering to the console users.

There are game companies that only do console games. Let the console users play those games.

My favorite thing is the mods updated every hour on the hour what was going on with the login issues. PC users rarely even get one update never multiple updates within a few hours. We see where ZOS loyalties lie eh? lol

In fairness, when I created the thread about the on screen adverts used for Server Maintenance when it reached close to 6-7 pages with a LOT of views, they did act on it.

There's probably a forum protocol that when a thread gets to a certain level, and it's weighted heavily towards a negative impact on the society/game in general, they act on it and roll out the heavy weights.

Anyway, this thread is getting to serious now

I suspect this is how it was for the console players this morning

This is a bit of circular reasoning though.

The ONLY reason they needed a cash injection from console is because they failed, woefully, to meet the expectations THEY SET for themselves.

Had they delivered even 75% of what they had promised then the game would have been healthy and vibrant enough to not need to worry about the need for a revenue stream from Console.

Also had the game been that healthy and vibrant they'd have bought themselves enough time financially, and good will from the playerbase, to actually do the Console launch they promised - in effect hitch free.

The only ppl Zeni have to blame for them needing to abandon PC and concentrate on Console is themselves.

The over promised and under delivered: a fatal combination in any consumer environment.

The plan from day one was to have console and pc versions of the game. So they didnt go "Hey the game is tanking lets make a console version.".

That argument is null and void as it was shown to be coming to consoles from the PS4 announcement back in 2013.
