    A question for the tech savvy. Intel is about to release a new line of CPUs - Broadwell-E. According to some info i found these are 6-10 core processors with the following specs:

    Ignoring the price (I could see myself going for the cheapest of those perhaps as im about to upgrade from the old sandybridge platform), how do you think these would perform in ESO and MMOs in general. Would you see a big (any?) difference in fps compared to lets say a skylake 6700k?

    As for the new CPU's. I'm not overly tech savvy but from what I've read/heard most games don't make good use (or sometimes any use) of those extra cores - so you are better off with a higher per core clock speed. I could be completely and utterly wrong though.

    In good news, I updated ESO on my old old laptop (that I started playing ESO on) and was delightfully surprised to see it still works! Looks like that old thing is DirectX11!

    im just going to say what do you think is going to happen to the game on console if PC server just shuts down? will ZOS even bother to keep the console servers up? in a business stand point i dont think so.
    So all you console players thinking its not going to affect you it quite possible will in the end.

    My cheerful thought for the morning (and as you can see I need to work in my messy HUD - since I got a new computer I haven't organized it well).

    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...

    Hey folks! DB is here!

    The first thing I'll do when I log in and ensure all my bait and other things made it safely to my new found crafting bag, then change my settings to one click for ground targeted AoE's :)

    Which is apparently after I download it.

    Funny story - I've had like 4GB of free space on my ESO SSD since before Thieves Guild, and it's never complained about lack of space. Apparently today it did so it didn't download. lol I wonder why it didn't complain before? When I saw my lack of free space I was confused as to why ESO was still letting me patch... haha

    I guess I'll need to install my newest 1TB SSD soon.. and redownload Fallout 4 (since I instantly deleted it to let ESO patch...)

    I'm happy to see DB, but I admit I'm such a slow player I've not finished silver or gold with any character; done "some" Wrothgar but not finished it and haven't even BEEN to Hew's Bane.

    I will be happy in ESO for years .... hopefully decades.... <fingers crossed>

    I am really looking forward to the crafting bags - actually mostly because I have so many saved dropped items that I've been afraid to sell/want to save "in case" that I keep mailing back and forth (along with mats) and really don't know how much of what I have.

    Really good friend made me a vet 15 bow with training; purple and everything so that my Battlemage could start leveling Bow. Turns out that I already had a Purple Bow of Willpower of vet 15 and I just didn't recall it from being so disorganized.

    I shall also be updating my thread on Goblin characters. I have a few more screenshots of Broken Branch Toothmaul that I like. Someday I hope to finish Cadwell's gold, 'cause I can just picture her in that "hat".
