Small-scale competitive pvp is mandatory.
It should also be accessed from within Cyrodiil.
Also, it needs to be competitive. None of this carebear nonsense about "hurr durr this class is op, that class is op, nerf this, nerf that, omg pls nerf everything, Gutripper is too hard!" Carebears can stay on the forums and complain about op classes whilst pvp enthusiasts enjoy smaller competitive pvp.
Season gear is coming soon; I want to chase pvp gear and competitive pvp gear.
Competitive pvp, accessed in Cyrodiil with sensible traits on gear rewards.
The ability to have the trait you want, regardless of how it's done, the ability needs to be there because I'm fed up with toxic traits on decent to good gear, decent to good gear, not even mathematically strong gear.
Sooner or later, this needs to happen. We already have the Cyrodiil battleground pvp area, either add different pvp to that battleground which focusses on the performance of small groups V small groups instead of the capture the flag mechanics of the Cyrodiil battleground.
You can bold words and pretend you're special all day
They can, but good stam NBs and good sorcs can 1v1 everyone, too. The sorc that uses BoL more than one time against a DK is not good
Dude Small scale pvp and Big scale pvp like Cyrodill is too much different. In Cyrodill Sorcs had a lot of space to use BoL and run. We are talking about small spaces, like Arena types and Dk can 1 vs 1 all the other 3 class with a good build.
..Not sure it's already written, couldn't read whole thread, but here's an Idea :
You know how we got Keeps and Resources, right ?
So.... wat about a 'instance' of PvP where we have 4 deffenders for a random resource, chosen randomly, and 4 attackers.
So we get like, "Here's teh map surrounding "Castle Alessia's Lumber Mill. we got a group of 1-4 AD deffenders , and a group of 1-4 XX attackers. You have 15 Minutes. Enjoy. And like, "Here's Blue Road Keep, a group of 1-12 EbonHeart Players' Pitched against 1-8 Attackers from each other faction. Guards are buffed as max resources. Enjoy a 30 minute frenzy.
In both cases you have like, 15 souls / revives for each team. you bring your own siege, and if you leave the demarked area you die.. because reasons.
The maps and dynamics are already in. and you keep the "Victory and Conquer" style of Ciroddil.
..any gud?

Its absolutely fascinating to me.

They dont ingore everyone, there a much ppl outsite wich dont want to see any smal scale pvp, like Arena or bg.

There are times where we log on and would like to do 3/4 matches in 30 minutes and get on with our day. Currently logging on to spend 30min in Cyrodiil is a waste of time.

It was clear he was having fun, but that sort of thing is mind-bogglindly horrific to me. I want a story, I want a reason to be doing what I'm doing. An "arena" is just another grind as far as I'm concenred and I want no part of it.
All that being said, if it's fun for some folks - why the heck not.
But for me, I'd prefer some sort of small-scale instance so I could do some task/job like the equivalent of a daily writ without being steamrolled by V14 jerks who apparently live to kill lowbies and cackle about it. That is not fun. For me.
I want RvR lakes like we had in Warhammer Online. Good lord I miss that sadly mismanaged into the ground game.

Well... part of me wonders 1-what are you doing in an ESO MMORPG then, and
2-how much "competition" is it for a v14 to one- or two- shot a bunch of lowbies?
Wonderful - go play in an arena, and I'll be happy if it clears some of the ... unpleasant encounters from Cyrodiil
This game is built around competition...haven't you noticed?
The leaderboards in PvE? Player versus player content? A kiosk system for trading which requires bidding against rival guilds every week?
So I wonder what are you doing in an ESO MMORPG if you don't like competition.
And what are you on about with v14s fighting lowbies? Haven't you ever played a game with a good matchmaking system?
I guess not.

Me too.
What long corpse run times are people talking about by the way? It takes about two minutes to travel between most keeps when mounted with rapid including ones with milegates between them. During which you can often run into fighting anyways. I am not sure I quite get the complaints on this aspect of Cyrodiil honestly....?
