To be clear, I do not exploit the game, never have, and I dont share knowledge with anyone but ZOS trying to get this fixed.
You really think I am going to perpetuate the use of an exploit just because people "want to do it too"
Not a chance. I simply extrapolated based on already available information how it was done, replicated it, and submitted my findings to ZOS. What they do with it now is their prerogative, I was merely pointing out the reason you will not see it posted publicly, because no one wants you to use it, because we dont want ANYONE to be using it.
Indeed. I don't want others abusing this. thank you.

The staff doesn't think this is an exploit. It's been reported. There is no belief that the players in question are exploiting. Either duplicate it, or accept the players in question know more about the game than you do.
Maybe if everyone is doing it the devs will believe it is an issue to be addressed. Right now this isn't the case, as evidenced by the 0 dev comments in a marathon thread.

In this instance I have no idea how it happened, whether it was a combination of my own shields and some action or a group member's shield.
All I know is I noticed I was suddenly not taking damage.
Yeah someone indicated that he is scared of getting the ban hammer so he decided to stop the....skilled play. Lol. Not formidable at all without the 60 min long invulnerability......skills.xsorusb14_ESO wrote: »lol, it looks like he was wandering around without his exploit tonight.

You report exploiters with lot others ... ok
Those players abusing exploits for months ... not ok, exept for[snip]... Grat...
ZoS dont give a [snip]. They only can remove post what has exploit or bad language, but they failing to ballance game, failing to fix game, these are ok.... they work slowly ok... but letting exploiters exploiting for months is not ok at all... they are [snip].

Using Caltrops to stop siege damage and AOE was an exploit yet ZoS didn't ban anyone using it and it took them forever to fix it. I lost half my guild to that fiasco as well as my first campaign to it.
If we the players decide as a community that something is an exploit then that is an exploit to me. We all know ZoS never intended anything in the game to give people -~70% damage mitigation permanently as that would be OP as hell and every single player would have to do it in PvP...which would break PvP.
It's evident that ZoS doesn't have the manpower or the capability to research and ban players for exploiting mechanics like these so they instead just try as quickly as possible to fix the mechanic being abused and sweep all the public outcry under the rug.

Bug vs exploit.....

This... it is mind boggling how people don't understand the difference.... and well... game mechanics...
This exploit is getting out of hand. It's so that I don't even want to PvP anymore. At every major skirmish it's the same thing; several AD using this exploit to run carefree through our ranks, drawing our attention, while their DPS comes in after to wreak havoc. (I'm sure DC and EP have exploiters too, but it's AD I always personally see using them.)
If you don't want people using exploits, then you need to ban the ones who do! As long as ZOS sits on the collective behinds, the only message they are sending is that it's okay to use exploits because ZOS won't do anything to you if you do.
The other problem is that MANY people are thinking tanks are overpowered, because they don't realize it's exploiters that they can't kill, not legitimate tanks. Even in the forums I've seen people crying to nerf tanks, when that's not the problem, and they don't even realize it.
Addressing this issue needs to be a top priority for ZOS. In the meantime have someone checking out the major skirmishes, and ban the exploiters you seeing running carefree through enemies lines not taking damage.
