I just unsubscribed too, since the last patch the ping is not 200ms anymore, it's like 1000 - 5000ms.

Same for me 0.5-1.5 sec for skills to activate few days after server maintenance, right after it 0.2-0.5 sec

    ping 150-200 ms

The good news is the 1.1.3 patch notes suggest they have fixed one of the causes of latency in PVP. I await to test it to see if it fixes 20s to do anything bug.

Hi, folks. As Game Director Matt Firor recently stated in this article, we still plan on moving the EU server, though we do not have an exact timeline to share. We are going to continue evaluating when the best time to migrate the servers is and will be sure to provide our players with an update when we can. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience.

    @ZOS_TristanK

So in other words, you might move it 5 years from now and still claim you did move it. I honestly dont think people will forget, you guys gamble with billions of dollars in future revenue to make some fast money here and now. You would probably need a monstertitle that is truly finished to save your brand now.

    For me, it's goodbye forever.

A timeline? You mean, to travel back in time and keep your word?

So its not like you dont have a date, its more like you dont even have a date to talk about doing something that would have another new future date?

So, us europeans must look like real fools to you ZOS geniuses, huh?

Yeah, you must believe when you even thank us for our patience (more like deceitful).

The whole thing about the megaserver marketing its the most freaking show Ive ever seen in a long time, with 15s delays to pass doors and an EU server placed in NA.

It might be good news, but my lag since the last patch is not only in pvp it is everywhere in the game. Before the patch I didn't have any problems, but now I have an average latency of 600-800ms. I'm really hoping tomorrow the problems are solved, but I really am affraid the patch won't make a difference...

Since Zenimax is in partnership with Idea Fabrik (Hero Cloud) wich explains the overflow servers they so easily could add, I think that they are not hosting the servers themselves like they said they did. The servers aint even located close to the Zenimax HQ, EU-server is at East-coast, in Ashburn.

The patch I'm talking about (1.1.3) isn't live in EU yet. Goes out tomorrow.

The EU servers are hosted in Texas. This has always been the case. The PDF you linked has the Hero Engine logo as they licensed Hero Engine during early development, then licensed the source code and forked.

Its in texas, my ping to Austin is the same as the ping to the ESO servers. My ping to the east coast is much better.

ZoS has until the end of this month to make an announcement. Otherwise I unsub, and focus on Wildstar and SWTOR, instead of ESO and SWTOR. I will stick to companies that do their research and don't treat their EU customers like idiots.

Same for me as many have stated before:
35 or so days remaining but I barely log in to click on the horse, encounter the wonderful 2-3secs lag even on that, facepalm at the eu pvp population which sometimes rises one stick from low on one server for one faction in night peak time... and quit.
Maybe I'll return when they migrate the server... lol; I know that will never happen. It's just annoying to know that maybe it was the plan all along to have the servers in NA and in some random posts tell people things like "In the future."
Btw anyone try writing anything like this in the zone chat in pvp and a whole fanboy horde will start harrassing you even on whisper., stating that it's the best thing in the universe to have 20secs lag. At least they have them as a constant playerbase even if the game is unplayable.

I laugh at people who say they live in Europe and don't lag, its a physical impossibility. Then you ask them to post a screen shot of resource monitor and links to their pingtest / speed test to confirm they live in the EU, and they fall silent.

What is the rate "we" are leaving? Mind, said rate would have to be measured against the fresh rate of new players streaming in. The game is still selling really good, keep in mind.

I think Hondy meant those of us that are aware of a promise of EU located server. Many of those that are streaming in now are not aware of this.

I do follow these forums almost as much as I play the game.
Even though everyone are entitled to their opinion, you are starting to harass people with the same question over and over again.

I am one of those who got tired of you and answered your question. No reply.
Maybe the data you saw wasnt what you liked to see....it didnt show any BIG issue.

I suggest you be a bit more careful about this, because people post here with their own opinions and experiences. And unless you work for Zenimax, I do not see your right in keep asking the same question like it someone is not as technical as you.....

There is a report button if you find someones post against the rules. Feel free to use it on me if you wish, but I feel that you constant "jump" on anyway who post they dont experience any bigger problems is a problem. Because people may think they are not allowed and you simply stop them.

This I am VERY concerned about.

There was no question in my post...so yeah....... Physics are not an opinion. I have yet to see a single person post a screenshot of their resource monitor, or links to their pingtest / speedtest to Austin texas, because I am 100 percent sure they are lying, or are simply used to a sub par experience.

    My ping is 136ms.
But the lag is around 2 seconds at day time.
If I log immediately after maintenance, the lag is less then a second, it's very small.
And on Weekend it can be 3 seconds...

Looking at pvp population it looks like "we" already left. Not only that, i can just take a look at my active guild members population to see only about 10 to 20% of the members still play the game.

You are right... its the same in the guilds i am in too...

I don`t think they are in a hurry to move them anyway, they most likely had a plan at launch but now with the lost subs they will most likely delay and give us some excuse.

I`m saying this because lag was/is a major issue, if they had any intention to move the servers they would have done it already to fix a major problem for their EU player base... and if they did not move them when they still had subs i doubt they will move them now when only 2 PvP campaigns are full and the rest are ghost areas...

Probably one of the main reason why console versions of the game got delayed 6 months. There was no way Sony and Microsoft would acept a game without a EU datacenter.

Did you play Battlefield 4? They recently released a patch where it works properly on PS4, 6 months after launch. Have a search for Battlefield 4 PS4 rubberbanding on YouTube to see how much good quality is required with console servers.

Back on topic - here's a photo supplied by Matt Firor at Zenimax of the EU datacenter:

They forgot to strip the EXIF properties from the image, you can see it was taken in February:

You can also see the location of the datacenter in Frankfurt.
