Okay, I have to say this. Good work Zenimax at attempting to solve the issues.

I also have to say this to those that think that putting a time on the public dungeon bosses and delves(?) is Zenimax's way of trying to step on the bots. I am not a Zenimax fangirl. I know my fiancé and I went into 2 public dungeons and had to stay a bit just to get the boss hit to get the completion of the dungeon. The spider queen bodies were everywhere in that public dungeon I mean her corpse looked as if she was the floor. We finally got the completion kill but got absolutely no loot..not white, not trash, and definitely not a blue (didn't even know the dropped blues since we never got a chance to see any).

If you have issues with this timer, blame the true culprits..the gold buyers. There are many discussion where people say they know lots of people that buy gold already in this game. Don't blame Zenimax for trying to stop the problem in any way they can afford..

Once more..I am happy to see some kind of something being done so I can enjoy and experience this game more.

I would really love to be wrong about my interpretation of 'delves' here. If not, then this is more of a nerf on legitimate players than bots. Let's say the timer is 20 minutes...hell even 15. I can easily reach another dungeon in less time without even quick traveling. Since this timer is universal, I could come to the end of a second dungeon and be unable to complete it b/c my timer isn't up yet from the first.

It's targeted not only at bots, but also farmers in general. Hopping from public dungeon to dungeon does not sound legitimate. It sounds like farming for loot. A regular player would come across public dungeons as they progress in a zone.
To all those praising this change, this isn't honestly going to curb botting. If anything, it makes botting the only means of reliably getting the boss' named loot. The harder you make it to get something through the normal course of play the more likely people will cheat the system to get it. If normal players don't have a hope of getting rare tempers/ tannins from their own drops, they will instead turn to buying gold from the goldsellers and using it to buy the tempers/ tannins from the botters. If anything this is a boon to goldsellers and botters.

And why do people have to get the bosses' loot? Right now the supply of those boss blues are so high they sell less than green set pieces. Again, a regular player would have outleveled the content rather than caring about some loot from some public dungeon. Again, your logic seems to stem from the perspective of a farmer rather than a regular player.
I'm all for making each named boss loot unique so you can only pick up one from each boss. That would at least still allow you to kill other bosses afterwards without having nothing to show for it. Also botters would be unable to get that rare loot from the boss b/c they could only pick up one. But this change. Honestly, no matter how long the timer, it's not gonna put a dent in botting. And if it's any longer than 5 minutes, it's punishing legitimate players.

Make them unique and BoP. Some of the topside bosses have been dropping unique BoP epics for me, and they literally have a vendor value of 0 gold. I'm rather puzzled why that is not the case for all the world and delve bosses.

It is going to put a dent in botting, when the profit from botting dungeon bosses drop from 3 drops every ten minutes to 3 drops every ten hours. It won't even worth the electricity cost and will as a result kill dungeon bot camping.

I am not a farmer. However, it does not take half an hour to come across another 'delve' in the course of regular play. Unless you're sitting there at the dungeon afk for 25 minutes.

Free game time is not adequate compensation for losing all of the stuff that is now missing from my bank, not to mention the 5 bank upgrades that got wiped.

If it's not returned, I certainly won't be subbing, and I'll be requesting a refund for a defective product.

I've been pretty fine dealing with all of the 'typical' early MMO bugs, campers, stuck quests, and even downtime, but the complete loss of 50 bank slots, along with all of the rare/epic/legendary crafting materials and supplies that were in those slots (oh, and the gold in there for use on alts) is a complete product breaker.

Loss of data in this day and age of databases is simply inexcusable.

For some odd reason, they just cannot get that through their skulls. I don't know why it's so difficult for them to comprehend it from our point of view.

Surely someone there at Zenimax plays MMOs?

I don't want goldbuyers or goldsellers in this game any more than you do. But this change, however well-intentioned it might be, does absolutely nothing to curb goldselling or goldbuying.

This change to the delve bosses needed to happen. I really am surprised that it wasn't in place already. It devalues blues and flood the market, just from a pure game economy standpoint it should never have made it to production.

I could see that change coming from day one, you all had to realize the easy money gravy train had to come to an end.

Not to mention in many cases people are exploring the zones solo, maybe partnered up, making notes of dungeons and things to do when they get around to grouping up in bigger numbers. Depending on the timer it could very well be prohibitive for a group of players to get together and tackle the dungeons of a zone without having to wait in between.

Timers are not the solution because the people intending to farm have the most time on their hands of anyone. I'm not a developer but there has to be a better solution than simply locking people out of all boss fights for a set amount of time.

EDIT - upon further review I like the 'unique' tag for boss loot or bound on pickup. That would slow botters/farmers. Because all they could do is run their happy butts to a crafting station to melt it down before they can go back rather than filling up their inventories before they do the same thing over and over. Regular players can still get their kill credit/drop if they want it without having hordes of botters in the way.

    Worst, laziest change possible.

It also doesn't fix the core problem people had with public dungeons, which is the inability to get credit due to bosses dying too quickly.

Now, instead of fixing that problem (which could have been done easily via scaling bosses) this change has compounded it, and also removed a lot of fun gameplay from the game.

Zenimax you guys have been doing a great job, but this is exactly the sort of LAZY pathetic non-fix that I hoped I would never see out of you. It doesn't fix anything, it just makes the problem worse, and the game LESS FUN.

So not only did it NOT fix the issue, it made it worse. Great.

Completely wrong. The whole point of the timer is to get the bots OUT of the dungeons. There is not point in then being there if they can't make money and, despite what many think, these guys operate on some pretty tight margins. They will not be able to afford to run the ridiculous number of bots we are seeing now if they are getting loot once every 15 minutes (for example, although I'd like to see the timer at at least 30-60min) instead of every 30 seconds as it is now.

Not a perfect solution, but a great first step towards getting these bots and their gold selling masters out of our game.

    Sounds good. Thank you.
Dungeon Treasure Chests – Based on feedback, we are changing treasure chests in instanced dungeons so that everyone gets a piece of loot regardless of who opens the chest. This change is currently being implemented and tested internally and will be released in a future patch as soon as it’s ready. Watch the patch notes for the news.

Have been waiting for this for a while. Thank you.
Public Dungeon & Delve Boss Monsters – Also based on feedback, we will be placing a timer on how often you can get loot from public dungeon and delve boss monsters. Thank you. To people who don't understand this change, I think it was made for the following reasons.

Most people were complaining that they couldn't get the achievement for the boss. Very few people actually care about the loot the boss drops. Some do, but I think most don't. Why? Because items like that are really common. Because players very quickly outgrow those items in just a few levels. Most people want the achievements of clearing the dungeon and just want to move on. If they get a nice drop, great. If not, who really cares? Just leave the dungeon and go out into the world and you're bound to find a great drop from another enemy. The world is full of "rare" items. This change (how often you can get loot from public dungeon / delve monsters) is a really good change that should stop some people from spamming the boss. (Fingers crossed).

Personally, I think this change is much better than no change. Thank you for this. Hopefully this will ease a lot of people's pain with getting the dungeon achievement.
Thank you for continuing to share your feedback and concerns with us. We’ll continue to read and listen, and update you on known issues and their status.

    Thanks.

It's great to know that they are listening and are taking steps to resolve the issues. I think we all (myself included) need to be more patient.

To paraphrase what I said elsewhere: while still deciding if and how to compensate people losing items, money and slots, it's a little silly to jump the gun and put loot timers on public dungeon bosses.

Why? Because it'll be a non-issue in a month or two, after the initial rush, as people leave, and as people's levels spread out. As it stands, boss farming is primarily a serious issue only in the first zone and only during prime time. In the end, the people complaining will have moved on (because they'll be nothing to complain about due to population decreases and smoothing), and at the same time, the other group who wants to farm will no longer be able to.

Hopefully, as others have said, they'll make the bosses scale instead, as many modern MMOs do to where it's almost a standard. That's an instant solution that should satisfy all parties, provided both sides are being reasonable about that.
"It's morally wrong to suggest gameplay changes for an MMO."
...seriously, someone told me that once here. The things people will do to win their internet arguments!

If you have issues with this timer, blame the true culprits..the gold buyers. There are many discussion where people say they know lots of people that buy gold already in this game. Don't blame Zenimax for trying to stop the problem in any way they can afford.

The problem is that the "true culprit" is Zenimax. Its not like this same issue hasn't been dealt with in other mmo's. They should have seen this coming and planned accordingly. I mean come on they are in the game industry, they should know that gold selling was a 3 BILLION dollar industry last year. It just sloppy work and that's why folks are frustrated.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.

Come on... I appreciate the other fixes but your priorities seem pretty screwed up. Have you checked the names of those people camping the bosses, at least in the early dungeons. THOSE ARE THE GOLD FARMERS!

Missing Bank Slots, Stored Bank Items, and Skill Points – We're continuing to investigate the issue, and are working on a fix now. As soon as the fix is ready, we will push it out to the live megaservers. Please note: This may result in a second maintenance this week and when we do push the fix, it will not be retroactive. Know that we want to make this right for all impacted—we’re still exploring options to help those who have stored items/gold, and bank slots go missing.

First thing that needs to be done is give back the gold that it took to open the slots in the first place. I was lucky, my bank had less than 60 items at the time the slots disappeared.
The other problem is something I don't quite understand, every MMO in the last 15 years has a way of storing the information of what was in an account's in game bank, are you telling me this game does not have such mechanism in place ?

The timer is useless to stop the bots. Unless its a very long timer.

The bots will just stay there, 5-10-20-30 minutes? dont matter bots farm 24/7, what can happen is a gold farmer placing even more bots now to get more loot at once from diferent accounts.

Just waint and see, now we will see public dungeons with zero human players there, and just bots. Congrats for ruining public dungeons even more.

GM (Game Masters) is what public dungeons need to patrol once i a while the dungeon and ban on the spot the cluster of bots that are camping them. Anyone can clearly see who is a bot and who is a real player farming.

If you want to nerf the public dungeon bosses make them drop just one especial drop once and dont drop it again. Or increase the timmer on that boss for a big number. Otherwise the bots will just multiply.

I would like to see this addressed in other ways. Adding a timer in my opinion is a short sighted quick fix that needs a better solution. I have not seen any other game that will make a change to their core mechanics due to bot behavior. I think time would be better spent on investigating reports of bot's and ban the offenders. Coming up with a better long term solution that does not hamstring the public dungeons.

Why punish the entire community because of a few bad apples.

Adding a timer is probably the simplest quick solution to the problem. If it stops the botters, I don't mind not being able to grind dungeon bosses.

After all, the intention of the dungeons is that you should go through them once in your journey and move on.

Good news for the group members who were missing loot because a troll member was doing no fighting and just looting the chests.

Would it be too much to ask that you might remember to program this change so that only members of the group get the loot ? Because ATM you can kick a player from the group and for some god only knows what design choice the players STAYS IN THE INSTANCE WITH YOU !!!!

If they no longer get loot they might well leave on their own accord so it is possible to replace them. ATM if you kick someone they still get loot, stay in the instance and cannot be replaced by a new member. TOTALLY FAIL STUPID !!!!!

No offence but have you ever player a MMO? For a PVE player the dungeons and they rare loot is what makes the game addictive. Public dungeons can be nerfed, i dont care, the timer if not a big timer will NOT remove the bots.

I just hope the timer dont go to group dungeons, that will KILL the end game for me and i would just leave without making a new subscription.

All the other changes im happy with them especially with the Group Dungeon chest loot.
