This should never have happened.
This has soured my taste for you company.
It took 4 days and like 5 different service reps before one actually came through for me, but only after I was a tad rude which I don't like doing.
I played a bit today but my flow was broken up, i'm way under leveled, maybe and hopefully I'll be enjoying the game enough later in the month enough to look past this frankly dishonest practice.
as i said in some previous post you should ask for a compensatory 1 day code in order to set your account to the status Active- non recurring, i purchesed the game on gmg too... and it worked.gazumpipes wrote: »Finally someone from support contacted me and assisted me with applying my game-code and explorer's pack that I purchased from GmG... it has even said that I have redeemed my 30 days inclusive. But I am back to square one. I cannot log into the game as I do not have a subscription.
As stated via the screenshot this is not a mistake, it is a feature and requires you to add a subscription. However I am still unable to load a subscription and still get the transaction not authorized using visa, mastercard and paypal. So my 30 days inclusive is going to just tick off and I cannot access the game unfortunately.
heeey if youd like when I manage to get mine working...if it ever does I can help you level up or run some things my IGN is Kronous if you want~TheJadeFist wrote: »I finally got helped. And am now able to play my 30 days.

After two and a half days I still have access, so I suppose the one day game time code really gave me access to all my 30 days! After waiting about 6 hours, I got contacted by phone but unfortunately there was a connection issue. I had explained in the comment box that I don't have a credit card and thus don't plan to choose a recurring subscription, but iDeal instead.
After the failed phone call I got an email with apologies for the bad connection and with a game time code. A quote from the email:
"I definitely understand the concern regarding the subscription and would like to offer a temporary resolution. Below is a one day game time code. This will place a subscription on your account and allow you to use the 30 days game play included with your game."
So I'm not sure if I will be able to play only one day now, or 30 days... I will come back here once I know more, but I hope for the best!

it's so cute when people who know next to nothing about law try and act like litigious armchair lawyers :^)

Glad to hear that you were able to get results. Thank you for keeping us posted! Hopefully you experience smooth sailing from here on out.
And hey, one more person's problem down, only a thousand more to go! They'll get to the rest of us eventually, right...? *crickets*

I think I noticed that if you submit another ticket, it'll close out your previous ticket. I can't swear by that though.
So I don't know if i'd recommend spaming tickets, but at the same time you almost have to before you'll get a service rep that'll do something.
So what do people like me get in return for having a direct debit bounced (which will now cost me £15-20 in bank charges) because the funds that should have been there to cover it have been held in limbo for a over a week for what is basically a credit card verification.
It's a credit/debit card, so yes, a fee against my bank account.

Only my guess, but did you saw the forum posts complaining about bots ?
Removing the payment verification process would have huge consequence regarding gold farmer / seller / bot that would have life so easy to stole (no they don't pay them) and activate 100 times more account, poisoning us much more.
This is not solution.
(That doesn't mean there's no problem with this process, but it exists for some good reasons).
I doubt that a credit card authorization will stop them better than actually having to pay 60 dollars for a new game key whenever their accounts get banned...elderscrollsb16_ESO109 wrote: »Removing the payment verification process would have huge consequence regarding gold farmer / seller / bot that would have life so easy to stole (no they don't pay them) and activate 100 times more account, poisoning us much more.

You know in dealing with "gold farmers" Just yesterday I was booted off the server while fighting a solo quest boss. With a temp ban.. why?? For spamming chat?? Really I have said maybe two words in chat and that was THANK YOU to someone who helped me in a public dungeon. That was during EARLY ACCESS. At no point in time while fighting that solo quest boss did I say anything at all. I can not complain the ban was only for less then a minute. Yet this shows there system is seriously flawed.
Well, in that case the account will already have an active subscription. They won't be paying someone else's subscription. That would kinda forfeit the purpose of stealing, wouldn't it?elderscrollsb16_ESO109 wrote: »That is assuming they pay the 60 $ for the game which is a false assumption. ( mainly they stole game accounts).
They could have done it after the first 30 days, like I've said many times before. I'm not saying they shouldn't do it at all. And there is a difference between people with a credit card subscription and people using pre-paid methods.elderscrollsb16_ESO109 wrote: »That's the million dollar question indeed (literally)...jaschacasadiob16_ESO wrote: »Big question: couldn't the simply do the same for the whole world who already paid 30 days?

He will have access to the 30 dayss too, few pages before i confirmed it.After two and a half days I still have access, so I suppose the one day game time code really gave me access to all my 30 days! After waiting about 6 hours, I got contacted by phone but unfortunately there was a connection issue.
