ZOS never do anything about Daily Login Rewards that are missed due to extended maintenance, server crashes or any other reasons that are their responsibility. We recently had a huge server outage and lots of players were asking about the missed Daily Login Rewards which resulted in a response from ZOS about how they were focused on getting the servers back online first and maybe, once that was done, they might look into the possibility of doing something about the missed Daily Login Rewards. However, once the servers were back online ZOS simply said nothing more about the Daily Login Rewards we'd all missed out on and players never bothered asking about the missed Daily Login Rewards.
So this time we miss out on a free Riding Manual, well that's a useless *reward* for me because I've already got 40+ of each Riding Manual sitting in my Bank Vault unusable because all 20 of my characters have maximum Riding Skills! *shrug*
Asking about missed Daily Login Rewards due to extended maintenance, server crashes or something else that is beyond player control is simply a complete waste of time! ZOS will very rarely issue any sort of compensation for any reason that prevents players from actually logging in and playing the game! We'd have to be unable to play for multiple, consecutive days before ZOS would even consider actually giving out some sort of compensation!
Yes, from the player perspective it's not a good thing. But unless a few million players close their wallets and demand ZOS actually does something about missed Daily Login Rewards due to issues outside of player control then ZOS simply won't change!

Please tell me a single other game you can get on a forum and directly talk to a lead developer and actually get a response? Also, why would you be mad at someone doing their job. This is literally what they do as a job. They're working. I'm sure when they have to take the servers down for an even longer extended period of time it suck for then too! I'm sure alot of them are pulling overtime hours away from their families to get this game up and running. Also, it was brought to our attention a while back that they were having problems with DDOS attacks. When they take the servers down for this long it's in part for our protection. Do you want your information leaked bc of a single hacker? Or would you rather them take the servers down to do maintenance? So many act like this is an everyday occursnce. In the 3 plus years I've now been playing it's only ever been down THIS long maybe 3 times tops. Every other time is regular maintenance. I appreciate every single thing this development team does. They truly go above and beyond for us. They deserve praise not constant hate. What makes yall think that being hateful and rude will actually make them WANT to give back to us if something goes south. They're suffering too. It's not right. They're worried about making aure the entire game is working properly and everyone else is super mad they won't get their daily login that you know they're going to make up for in this case bc they always do. They can't help when this happens. But it's sad they can't get the support and praise they deserve. Thank you to the team from myself and many others. Yall go above and beyond for us and many of us are so grateful for it and you!
To add: many of yall talk about being disconnected constantly... most of us don't have that issue and if you do... I would suggest looking at other issues... maybe your setup? Idk... maybe try hardwiring? I've never ever had disconnect issues of that sort. The most I've had is rarely when I'm kicked I get a 307 error or whatever the number is trying to get back in but that hardly ever ever happens. Truly... most of us don't experience CONSTANT disconnect issues....

EST IS NOT THE SAME AS UTC.
The times reflected here are correct:
- [EXTENDED] NA megaservers for maintenance – February 5, 12:00AM EST (5:00 UTC) - 8:00PM EST (February 6, 1:00 UTC)
- [EXTENDED] EU megaservers for maintenance – February 5, 5:00 UTC (12:00AM EST) - February 6, 1:00 UTC (February 5, 8:00PM EST)

Can't answer for others, but I don't expect anything at all, hence why I said "ZOS will very rarely issue any sort of compensation...". As for the "enhanced" rewards the following month, I didn't even notice that any of the rewards were "enhanced" in any way! *shrug* As for an extended ESO+ trial, that means absolutely nothing to me because I'm already paying for ESO+! Did they make a news post or anything about that? If they did then I obviously missed it! I very rarely bother with the forums anymore and I only glance at the news posts to see if there might be something of interest. I'm gonna take a wild guess that you're an NA server player? As for myself I'm an EU server player who endured years of server issues prior to the upgrades a few years back so I absolutely do not expect anything at all from ZOS for any reason! *shrug*MysticalMoon346 wrote: »
That is not true... they DID compensate us for missed rewards. They enhanced the rewards for daily login the next month...
day one we got 1000 seals of endeavors ...instead of the norm...and day two we got 5 grand experience scrolls (150%xp) .. instead of the normal 1 or 2.
They also extended the eso plus trial for those who weren't already eso plus....
I'm just curious to know... what exactly is it that yall expect for "compensation"? I'm an ESO+ sub myself.... that's roughly .48 cents a day... so we will say .50 cents... they rewarded us with well over .50cents worth of items... what are yall expecting?
Just commenting on the last paragraph: I think it is an exaggeration to a degree saying "CONSTANTLY disconnecting", but it would be fair to say these disconnects are more frequent compared to years prior. I say "constantly" in comparison to years prior, not actually all the time, just much more frequently. Everyone in end game trials and dungeons that I have met have said disconnects are much more frequent. Often times I encounter disconnects in instances, like dungeons and trials, and its usually multiple people at the same time. No ISP issues, kicked with "internal error has occurred". A lot of them in guild, running some of the most expensive setups, wired with sub 10 ping and 1GPS download. So, not sure exactly what is causing the disconnects, and haven't had any feedback to my knowledge from ZoS aside from a while ago when they were getting DDoS attacked. Are they still getting DDoS attacked? Maybe some transparency. Maybe its the database they are upgrading? Who knows.
I'm in too, but that doesn't mean that extended maintenance are suddenly less annoying. Many people would be at work by now and they don't get a chance to get their login bonus.
Like I said in a previous post, you get the SAME login bonus tomorrow. You're only missing out on the last bonus of the month - maybe some tel var, AP, or gold perhaps - they make those last 3 fairly consistent every month. If you do login EVERY day of the month, the do generally give a reward for the loss ... usually the benefit of EVERYONE.
