Wait...53 hours? How many liters of Red Bull (or whatever...) were consumed?
To be honest, I find this shocking, but some people will probably find it admirable and worthy to imitate.

I have a feeling that ZOS will be making it harder to get to Arc 31 in a future update... They made a similar move before launch because someone got pretty high on PTS.

Thanks for the leaderboard data. Here are the actual numbers for pc eu:

    Dragonknight - highest 12.4.3 - lowest 4.4.1
    Sorcerer - highest 10.4.3 - lowest 4.4.3
    Nightblade - highest 10.1.1 - lowest 3.5.3
    Templar - highest 9.1.1 - lowest 4.1.1
    Warden - highest 10.3.3 - lowest 5.3.2
    Necro - highest -11.2.1 - lowest 3.4.2
    Arcanist - highest 12.1.1 - lowest 5.3.2

    Duo - highest 31.4.3 - lowest 10.4.3

That's the state after people played EA for a few weeks, instead of only a few days. I'm sure console will soon show similar numbers.

Either way the the leaderboards aren't even close to Arc 1, not a single one of them.

Thanks. This is what my current hope is as well. That PS only looks that way because it's early. The PC leaderboard is more or less what I would expect EA to look like based off how the rewards are structured, so it's good to see that things look better on PC. Hopefully this is accurate as I personally think it shows that EA is likely to need only minor adjustments and mostly not too difficult.

How could it ever be proven? If your spouse or roommate has been queued in the group finder as a DPS for the past two hours and then says to you, "Hey, I gotta go pick up my kid from school, can you start the dungeon for me if I ever get in?" and you sit down in the chair and start clicking/using the controller.... who would ever know? And is that something you should lose your account over? I'm not sure what the TOS rules are about something like that, so I don't know.

    No.

I think this is the Lord Warden from WHite Gold Tower. The mechanics are the same, sorta. They are modified in a weird way, but jumping into the portal does work. You could try the dungeon to see them if you are interested. It's one of my favorites (so many times my sticker book is full ;-) ). I think it's the easiest of the DLC dungeons.

Except that ZOS has literally challenged people to see how well they can do and how far they can get in an unending dungeon. At what point do they go from saying, "Wow, look at this person go! They are killing it!" to "Hey, wait, this person is going a bit farther than we expected them to, we need to sanction them right away!"

Unless a person is hacking the game to use the code in a way that is not available to all players, who is to say the player isn't simply taking advantage of all the tools placed at their disposal by the devs? If ZOS feels that something they put in the game is giving players an unfair advantage, then they will certainly patch it at some point. Unless they make a post (as they have in the past) that says, "Don't do X, because doing X is wrong and we are keeping track of those who do X and taking action on their accounts," then how would a player know what part of any new content is ok or not ok?

So with a different build and a bit more practice, I think I can do the daily as long as I don't get one of the instakill bosses that I have no idea of the mechanics. WIth 68 potential bosses, I may be being overly optimistic, but I'm willing to try at least until I have one set of gear for my DK.

And honestly, the first arc Tho'at seems ok for me. My last run I got to the 2 arc Tho'at and that's so much more difficult. So in the first arc, the Tho'at for me at least is easier than some of the bosses because I know what to expect. It's the same every time. The RNG with the bosses makes it very very hard for me to know what to expect and 68 potential bosses is a ton of mechanics. Also, I thought the 2 arc Tho'at was much harder than the preceding bosses unlike arc 1. But with practice maybe that will change.

And finally, it's the time, at an hour an arc, 2 is the most I would ever be able to complete because 2 hours is the most time contiguous play time I ever have. Save points, please.

FInally the amount of difference the RNG makes stagering. The bosses you get, the verses and visions you get can matter so much they are the worst part of EA as it is now. Skill takes a back seat to RNG in my opinion.

This is 100% true, once you get it down, Tho'at prime isn't a problem. As for the "68" it sounds like a daunting number but the majority of them are just avoid the AoE and DPS them down, I think about 1/3rd have any sort of mechanic outside of that.

Well, they considered someone getting to Arc 18 to be "a bit extreme" and changed the Archive during PTS to make it harder to get to that point. I can't see that they are going to be celebrating an Arc 31. I would imagine that if they find an exploit that allowed them to get that far they will fix it, and potentially address the issue with the player that did it. Otherwise, I think we may be seeing a change in difficulty coming.

Besides feeling that Tho'at is way too difficult for Arc 1, there is something else she does that I just don't understand and it's making it very difficult for me.

I've been running duo with my friend and it doesn't matter which character I bring, Tho'at immediately runs towards me and doesn't stop chasing me no matter what we do.

I've brought different characters of different classes with different builds and it still happens. My friend has brought different characters too but it's always my character that gets chased. We've tried having my friend run up and attack first but nothing we do makes any difference. All my characters are damage and I am not using any skills that pull aggro.

If just once I could actually stop running and do some damage it may go a lot better but I can't figure out why this keeps happening every single time. Has this happened to anyone else?

So with this line of reasoning, it's not actually an "Endless Archive." It's a "Let them play to a stopping point that we control."

    Interesting.

Does your friend have a taunt? If not then you may be a higher actions per minute player, so the boss is more likely to pick you when it randomly picks a target.

He hasn't taunted that I am aware of. I'll ask him if he has a tank he can bring next time. But this happens as soon as the boss spawns before either of us has done anything. I even stayed back as far as possible but she runs straight for me, even with him attacking her.

AFAIK, The first target is random then it picks a random new target based off who took an action during that time period, so more apms makes you more likely to be selected but not necessarily guaranteed. I could be wrong but I think that's how it works. Taunt, ofc, guarantees your picked and forces redirected attention. Don't need to be a tank to slot a taunt, there's an Undaunted skill that lets you.

But I didn't take any action. I stayed back as far as I could while he ran up and attacked her but she just kept running after me. It's beyond frustrating.

He's in your group, so when he took an action, he also placed you into combat.

But why does she chase me the entire time every time no matter which characters we are using?

Does your friend have a taunt? If not then you may be a higher actions per minute player, so the boss is more likely to pick you when it randomly picks a target.

He hasn't taunted that I am aware of. I'll ask him if he has a tank he can bring next time. But this happens as soon as the boss spawns before either of us has done anything. I even stayed back as far as possible but she runs straight for me, even with him attacking her.

AFAIK, The first target is random then it picks a random new target based off who took an action during that time period, so more apms makes you more likely to be selected but not necessarily guaranteed. Bad RNG for the opening, and also whatever reason on your build, you have higher actions per minute. Which increases the odds that you'll be selected (although it's not guaranteed). At least this is how I think it works, but I'm not 100% certain. I think it just has a point where it decides on a random new target every few seconds based off actions taken. More APMs means more likely to be selected.

@Lucinator If you're over CP1000 but can't get 1 arc by solo, then you're below the average.
Most of boss and enemy of 1arc are same difficulty as non DLC normal dungeon.

But part of agree. I have some "doubt" against QA testing team always.

Because, there're not much explanation that how they test the new contents.
    (Class, Average building basis, Weapon...)
And, I also have doubt testing phase "amount" of QA testing. Did they do enough amount of
    testing?

Each time new contents bring us painful bug and unreasonable game mech always.
I think that official QA testing method and amount are not good enough.

Playing time length is more problem for me rather than just difficulty.
I always spend 1h30min until finished 2arc with DD partner as tank.
That's too much long for just daily quest.

I'm not interested in any of score board, just I want gear collection.

The daily takes 15 minutes, give or take. And it's only arc 1.
