Impossible event daily? Turn the Page

I have 6 so far. One actually dropped from a normal enemy in a delve. None from bigger enemies like world bosses or Bastion Nymic bosses. My other 5 came from nodes and treasure chests, both of the overland and of the treasure map variety.

And as noted, they are not bound, which suggests they could be traded, sold, or banked for other toons to turn in daily if one toon does all the amassing.

Man these pages are just not dropping for me either. Been at killing everything in delves, WBs and farming and have got 1 in 2 hours. I dont think I have the time to participate in an event that just wont drop the quest stuff.

Seems like many are getting TONS of pages and others are barely getting any.

Needs improvement or many might not participate.

I spent an hour on one character, got 6. Two hours on another character got zero. But some people in guild have 20-35 in less than an hour. The drop rate is way off for something that is a daily needed to unlock a house.

I had heard about this event and was contemplating stepping away from BG3 to return. However, after seeing all the problems with drop rates, think I'll pass.

Yeah, this is a painful event, especially given that there are plenty of less grindy games out there right now. ZOS needs to learn to read the room better.

...edit... and then, after collecting all those pages... that quest does not give event tickets. Can someone tell me why I am even here?

Just to add my own experience with this, it took about 20-30 minutes to collect five. Four came from resource nodes (including one from a water node), which I was doing mostly to clear out the weekly endeavor, and the fifth came from a Mudcrab.

Zero parchment after doing 6 wb dailies, 6 delve dailies where I stuck around to kill the boss, 2 nymic dailies (so 8 seekers + nymic bosses), and 6 bosses in Gorne.

The only source of them for me was some occasional rune nodes, and treasure chests. There is nothing fun about this and I have no intention of continuing to waste my time with this artificial grind fest - there are a lot of fun games out there atm.

I don't mind this quest but the other quest which has you retrieve three relics and then requires you to enter Bastion Nymic - which you cannot do unless you progress in another quest or hitch a ride with someone else - is quite possibly the absolute worst quest in the entire game. You should never include a mandatory objective in one quest that only be completed by progressing in an entirely different quest.

First they did their best to make the Zenithar event as unrewarding as possible, and now they make this event equivalently grueling and unrewarding.

Khajiit misses the events with simple quests that were enjoyable and quick. Are they so very hard to write?

It takes 5 Esoteric Parchments to "bind" then turn in. Yes, it's a daily. Don't panic.... the other houses done this way (Psijiic Villa and Antiquarian Gallery) were actually "acquired 100%" long before the event was over.

5 pages are required for an event daily.

We've had events like this before, where the community must fill a bar in order to receive the event rewards. We have never failed to receive the promised rewards before, for any of the events. 2 other events rewarded houses and we got them. I have no doubt that we will receive them again.

This is the first time when a daily that required some sort of grind was required, however, I don't seem to be having any trouble finding the pages within 10-20 minutes. (I have noted that when harvesting, they seem to drop more frequently from runes for me, though that might simply be luck.)

I've also just spent a couple hours at it, doing everything (except fishing, yet), and have also NOT found a single page. Came here to see if I was crazy.

I'm sure everyone is checking their inventories, but I'm going to say this just to be on the safe side:

The quest does not update how many pages you got. You do not get information 2/5 written anywhere (at least I was not able to see it anywhere). All it says is that you have to get the bundle. I had to search my inventory to check how many I got. Even when I got 5+ it still had the same message in the quest journal. Only when I got into the inventory and chose option "Use" to combine them to a bundle I got the quest to update that I need to speak to the Mouth.

I got 2 from Nymic bosses, 1 from the Prime Cataloger, and another 2 from a delve boss. All 5 from boss fights.

Long story short i literally rage quit after few hours quest giver could off been more detailed in how to get the page drops i literally had to google video guide after rage quit on how im ment to get the drops.
Other quest that surprise now sends you to nymic bastion im still to complete anyone like me that cant solo will be at the mercy of hopefully forming group to get this done
Maybe this event would have been easier to complete after update 40
Love events and agreed they can't be made too easy but more detailed information on how to complete the event quests on main website would help with frustration and need to source info from other sources

This is a community event right? As in, the rewards (the house basically) are determined by the combined contributions of everyone in a server?

If that's the case then if it's like past community events you should only need to do the required quest(s) once to get an "in" for the reward. I've never seen one of these community events fail to hit all their milestones.

But at least this Quest did not require a second Quest to complete it.

I’m so glad I got all of mine while doing the first part of the relic one. Because after eye-twitching my way through the public dungeon part of that quest, thinking no way they expect us to do this tedious malarkey daily, and turning that part in only to find out I have to do a BN too? Yeah nah, I don’t have the time or patience for that after work. So yeah, glad I was able to do at least one of them fairly easy lol. Hopefully y’all’s luck gets better.

(Sorry, mostly a rant about the relic quest, but I didn’t want to make a thread about it lol)

*shrug* It's of a piece with them ramping up the grinds lately.

I got 3 pages before starting the quest, and none afterwards. Then I went to forums, found this thread, and got cheap bundle of 5 pages from guild trader Thanks for noticing this info!
I could finally vote for my preferred reward.
