Impossible event daily? Turn the Page

It's simple, this daily is impossible to complete, as of the time I am writing this I have spent almost 2 hours in necrom
-killing WBs
-Stealing stuff
-Looting nodes
-Looting chests
-Doing treasuremaps
-Doing Nymics
-Killing mobs
-Fishing
-Doing daily quests

and so far I have found ZERO esoteric parchments, while true, ~2 hours isn't that long to farm in the grand scheme of things, you do have to remember, these aint some special rare drop, they are meant to be collectables for a DAILY EVENT QUEST, the fact that it takes more than 20 mins at the absloute most means that clearly something is broken

@ZOS_Kevin can you poke the dev team and get them to fix this so we can actually take part in the event's global mechanic?

I have managed to found three by just doing the first daily quest that makes you go three different places.

Which server are you on? I got 5 in about 20 minutes through opening chests and looting resource nodes on PS EU

5 is way too much. It does not feel like a daily event, but more like a quest you do once (and I am pretty sure most people will do it only once). 5 pages would be ok-ish if the drop was guaranteed (Public dungeon, delve, overland boss etc). But is is not. It should be 1 at most lol. But noo.... it is 5. Not even 3. It is 5. Why ?! 5 RNG based drops with a relatively low drop chance. I soloed Bastion Nymic and in the eniter dungeon I only got 2. Like who designed it this way ?! I got live. I got work. I don't have time to play 24/7.

I got all 5 pages from mushroom patches, not even kidding. For some reason people seem to avoid picking up stinkhorns.

I had to ask in zone chat how to get those pages, kill and loot everything so I did.

Bosses seems to drop them, I also got one from a water node

Is Bastion Nymic part of the event daily quest, or am I doing the wrong one?

I HAVE found 2 pages so far, but nobody tasked me with finding them. I completed the first so-called daily, that ended with the old man being cursed. I didn't get any tickets for this quest.It was a new quest from his daughter Tralise that sent me on the search for 3 relics, THEN she sent me on a Bastion Nymic run, which I was not expecting.
Is this all part of the DAILY? "Turn the Page" quest?
(if so, this is A LOT for a daily...)

Got 5 but it took some time
2 from nodes
1 from a mob
1 from a Chest
1 from a psijic portal

I got some doing other dailies and the rest picking up nodes / chests / psijic portals. I'd say it does itself while doing other stuff instead of trying to farm just for that. I had couple of pages before I even picked up that quest cause I missed the quest giver because of crowd so you don't even need the quest for them to drop.

Are the five pages all that is needed for the specific quest that we need to do in order to advance the event progress meter?

So this quest I'm on for the 3 relics, and then a ritual item that requires getting into Bastion Nymic, is NOT the quest needed for the meter?

I remember Yensa saying that they needed to recover the pages, but nobody explicitly said to go get the pages, before completing the quest with their father. (I didn't even SEE Yensa in the massive crowd of players.)
Tralise said we needed to fix the curse first which led to the quest I'm currently on, and during which I've found 2 pages.
And if I find three more and turn them in, I'll be ok?

Nevermind, I figured it out on another character.
My mistake was talking to Tralise again after she paid me.
On the other character, I was able at this point to instead locate Yensa in the throng of players, and she directed me to Mouth Gilvas, who sent me on the hunt for the pages.

Just noticed that these pages arent bound - perhaps you can buy them from other players, like the fish from that New Life quest?

The quest giver is the mouth standing nearby where you get the 3 reclic one. I honestly do not know if you have to do the 3 relic quest before he appears cause I did not notice him until later when I started to wonder where to pick up that quest. Also he is outside Necrom gate when you turn it in (and decide which one gets the combined pages), dunno if you can get the quest there.

Turn the Page, the daily event quest. You can complete it on multiple characters per day and it will count per character:

Yeah, no. Pass. I am not going to grind a glorified lottery for the parchments every day, definitely not on several characters.

I'll give the daily a try as long as it isn't hours per toon that is, I have limited ESO time and so many houses to decorate... :-)

I got 7 just doing two world bosses and two delves got another unlocking sharp and doing that public dungeon quest.
Treasure chests looks like excellent source of them.

Just came to the forums to try to figure out how to get to the point where you can turn in quests to the two different NPCs to pick the music box or the tome as I was struggling to figure it out. Apparently because I can only find two of those pages after 3 hours of doing stuff in the new zones including the rest of the event up to the turn the page quest and all the dailies in Necrom. Also hit several world bosses where it is so crowded I can't even get a drop from them because my damage isn't high enough. I always hit ever resource node I see anyway but none from those either. Tried a few delves... nothing from there. Opened both treasures chests I found... also nothing.

Usually I love events and enjoy taking part but the drop rate for these pages is appalling. I have about another hour before I need to finish for the night and I am not even half way through after 3 hours. The thought of trying to do this every day makes me not want to participate in the event and that is a definite first for me.

One thing I noticed...

The Event Daily Quest, "Turn the Page," doesn't appear to grant tickets, even though it's a daily quest.

However, I was able to get tickets from one of the "regular" Telvanni daily quests. (I did the delve quest.)
I also got two Esoteric Parchments from the delve boss (along with an event coffer AND an antiquity lead, all in the same drop.)

So, I got one of those quest item pages even though I already have done the quest. This means that the pages drop even if you don't have an active quest, so you can technically "farm" those items and then once you have them you will be able to do the quest quite fast.

Yeah drop rate is waaaaaay too slow. Took me 2 hrs to get all the items.

I have 12 and have just done the Dailies and ran around grabbing a few nodes. Go do the Public Dungeon group boss.

if this quest is as painful as it sounds, and does not award tickets on top of it

i only see myself doing it once to at least contribute to the event, and then not bothering with it for the rest of the event (i might even sell off extra drops if they are not bound)

We will have a thread at the end of the event for general feedback, but we will note some player's concern about drop chance with the team for future consideration.

One tip we shared in another thread, more difficult enemies increase your chance of dropping esoteric parchments.

I got 10 total over 6 characters today - none of whom got them from enemies at all. They were mostly from runestone nodes, and a couple from platinum nodes. I didn't do anything but the delve quests on any of my girls.

I got 3 parchment total while doing 9 Necrom Dailies across 3 alts. My RNG drop rate for parchment is the same as my drop rate for zone mythic leads (3 new leads so far) and about the same as zone motif (2 motif page drops so far).

I didn’t notice getting much from World bosses. Public dungeon group event gave me like 3 in one kill.

Hey, looking at the bright side... if you do this quest by farming resources, you can do the whole the weekly "pick 100" endeavor today.
