1000% agree, Also nothing to steal at the turn in spot. If they would only add a banker stall next to the merchant in between the writ boards and turn in spot, I believe it would be the main spot for most people.

i have started going to Necrom occasionally too! it's a nice area and i get lost way less in Necrom now.

i wish we had writ boards in non chapter dlc zones too though.
    like Markarth, Senchal, and Fargrave.

i would really love going to Senchal for writs as i have Lucky Cat's Landing there and it's a nice town.

Alinor for me. Beautiful zone and all nicely convenient. I log off /on at the town house and hit the bank on the way to the crafting stations.

Occasionally I go do them in Evermore for nostalgia since I started my crafting journey there... by accident.

If one has done te quest in Wasten Coraldale the cure is to always park your characters outside the crafting house as that song seems to trigger only if you login in when inside the Alinor crafting house.

Another option is to skip the quest "Lost at Sea" in Wasten Coraldale so Curtaros never returns to Summerset ;)

I mute in game sounds when I do writs. It's npc pathing that bugs me more.

Since I turned the Mistveil stable into a workshop, it's easy to just get the writs from Riften, blip back to the house to craft, then right back to Riften to drop them off.

I didn't get the chance to answer the poll but before I bought Ezabi a few years ago, I would have answered Vivec, because the crafting stations all are at the same location and the bank right in the middle. Now that the bank is a cute sassy cat following me around, my six characters complete their daily writs on crafting square, Alinor.

Seems the most practical to me, the delivery crates even aren't far away and Clivia Juncus stands between the two to buy whatever I don't need to keep (which is probably why her last name is Juncus, btw, she buys junk. SHE'S NOT AN IMMIGRANT, OK ?!? SHE'S SUMMERSET BORN AND RAISED, YOU ALTMER XENOPHOBIC).

Usually Vvardenfell, but I’m fond of Rawl’ka, too, and use it for low levels who are still training horses because of the convenient stable. The writ turn-in spot is only a few steps from the wayshrine. There’s an outfit station, which Vvardenfell lacks. It’s easy to work on thieving there, too, and the thieves den is centrally located. There’s also a cook and a brewer, if you happen to need provisioning recipes.

The bank has a door, but it’s an instant access door, not one of those slow ones, so it’s not a problem. Guild traders are right at the wayshrine.

Come to think of it, I’m not sure why I don’t do all my writs in Rawl’ka.

That's so annoying when they have objects you can steal sitting on crafting tables or on the turn in boxes, e.g. Elden Root turn in. :#

My dailies are all done outside of my Sleek Creek home in Reapers March. One quick loop around town ending with the woodworking station, then on to the horse trainer on my way to turn in my dailies. Takes just about 2 minutes for the entire loop.

I do the daily writs in a different location for each of my crafters. Up until some weeks ago, I had only 1 ESO character, but then I created 7 alt chars to help out with the crafting (and redo some quests I enjoyed first time around). These characters and their daily writ locations are:
    - bosmer (Elden Root)
    - orsimer (Orsinium)
    - altmer (Alinor)
    - dunmer (Davon's Watch)
    - imperial (Vulkhel Guard)
    - khajiit (Rimmen)
    - breton (Gonfalon Bay)
    - nord (Solitude)

Even though some of these locations have a less than ideal layout, I can still do the 8 * 7 daily writs in 30 minutes (in fact, today I managed it in 29.5 minutes :) ), and that includes a horse stables visit for the 7 alts.

I like doing the writs in the different locations, because I then have plenty of variation in the scenery and background music, so it makes the daily writs a bit more fun.

Maybe consider moving your Imperial to Craglorn, they’ll be closer to Imperial City. ;)

    Shadowfen.

A lot of people seems to hate that place. The result is that the location is more or less empty & not overcrowded. Call me crazy but I actually like it. House & wayshrine is relatively close to the city & crafting quest boards & crafting stations. So doing crafting there (or inside house) is quite fast.

I do hate Shadowfen, but the crafting area is very good - not great, since the Provisioning Station is behind a door, but at least is not far (as it’s the case with Mournhold).

An inconveniently placed provisioning station is not a very big deal though, since you can just craft a massive batch at once, and turn it in over time. My characters are still turning in food cooked on 2022 for their writs...

I have most of my 100 crafters in leyawiin, because of it's layout.

100 crafters? Wow? You have several accounts on each server? Your "dailies" should now be called "weeklies" as that is how long it must take. LOL.

    Rimmen
Rimmen is easiest for me to navigate as everything is in the same place.

Teleport outside of sugar bowl, go west to train riding, go north to grab all writs, then finish all writs in the same place. If something is missing there are 6 traders right outside. Go south to submit everything, back to my sugar bowl to deconstruct & bank (I fit all stations there in 2 floors).

I tried many others and always got lost, esp the vivic city and the weird room, often had to jump into water to get out.

Rawl’kha is perfect, as Sleek Creek House is my primary. I don’t have ESO+, so I store some stacks and most provisioning items at home.

    Here’s my loop:

    - from front door of Sleek Creek, go to mount trainer (for alts that are still levelling mount)
    - hit up writ board by blacksmith, run upstairs to grab enchanting etc. writs
    - do Enchanting & Jewellery writs (via writ add on)
    - do Provisioning & Alchemy if needed
    - do Blacksmithing/Clothing/Woodworking writs
    - turn in, then run up to merchant next to the brewer
    - retrieve hireling mail, then sell anything that needs to be sold (I sell e.g. anything that isn’t a max tier mat, or anything that isn’t a Khajiit style stone)
    - port to house and auto turn in particular items to banker using Personal Assistant add on, then deposit excess provisioning items into my provisioning storage
    - exit house door and log out

I haven’t timed it, but the whole process takes probably less than 3-4 minutes per character. I have it down to a science. Personal Assistant is such an amazing add on — highly recommend it to anyone who does not have ESO+. You can use the addon to auto-deposit particular items to your bank (e.g. I only store provisioning items used for writs in my bank, auto deposit Moonstone, etc.).

I finally got all my alt crafters to level 50 (character and all crafts) and now I'm doing daily crafting writs on all 8 characters. I'm still doing the writs in my designated 'home' city of each character, as I posted before, because doing them in 1 location (even if it reduces the overall writ time) I find boring. So my daily writ plan is:
    • (main char) bosmer: Wayrest in Stormhaven (it used to be the bosmer's 'home' city of Elden Root, but I like the background music in Stormhaven better)
    • orsimer: Orsinium in Wrothgar
    • altmer: Alinor in Summerset
    • dunmer: Davon's Watch in Stonefalls
    • imperial: Vulkhel Guard in Auridon
    • khajiit: Rimmen in Northern Elsweyr
    • breton: Gonfalon Bay in High Isle
    • nord: Solitude in Western Skyrim
I can do all these in just under 30 minutes (my best ever time was about 25 minutes), using the Lazy Writ Crafter addon, and with the alchemy and provisioning writs (since they're stackable) pre-crafted months in advance.

For YEARS, it was Mournhold / Deshaan for me. I preferred it because it was always my home, so I knew it well, and I did a lot of pledges. Plus, the Master Writ turn-in location is nice. Which meant everything I did was in one place.

My friend kept bugging me to switch to Blackwood, because he felt it was the most efficient for writs. He argued that if you don't do pledges and master writs every day, Mournhold was not a good choice. Eventually I gave in, and tried it for a bit. I do agree that for writs it's nice and fast. One thing that made me happy was how much easier it was to cook, which has also helped me when I need to quick make a drink or something for endeavors. Then AwA came out, and my motivation for doing pledges dropped significantly, such that I only pick them up once in a while now.

I also like this place. It is where I park characters that have to do horse training.
