Played a little in Raven during the event and it was terrible as a DC player. As soon as a resource flips, the emp and friends rush to it. There were absolutely no fights really

Well I think DC got the Emp they deserve. ;) Most of the time its the rest of DC players that take Keeps and res, and put him there...

Lol you sure you played Ravenwatch PC EU?

I'm sure i played there ;) During the days when the emp is in bed, his friends and rest of DC take map, when he come online he just have to def the emp title, taking back Res and Keep, as fast as possible. thats fakt and the sad thing about it..

I mean, not everyone? Lotta people quite like the no-proc rules. I've been drifting into GH and BR recently with all the poop in Raven, and honestly, I was instantly reminded of proc ball groups which are mostly absent on the current Raven. Made me die a lil bit inside.

No ball groups because there's a lack of players to farm lol
Next patch we can Azureblight them to oblivion. B)

I don't know, I really like that there are no-CP and no procs sets, it's just based on players skills (or lack of), it feels more balanced to me.
There are already campaigns with procs sets enabled, but of course this is just my opinion and we will go anyway with what the devs decided.

Devs don`t play this game, but people do. It is actually a huge mistake to let them decide tbh.

The most logical explanation is that they simply look at the numbers and notice that there are often long queues for Gray Host and Blackreach while barely anyone is playing Ravenwatch.

If it's still no-CP, I still won't be going there unless it's the only option. I'm less concerned about whether or not my sets proc than I am about being able to leap my mount off of ledges without suddenly finding myself dead when I land. :(

There is a well known spot close to the chalman farm to fall from the sky where you find yourself in the gray zone after riding poorly.

Returning players to Ravenwatch spotted as well. Lets hope is stays nice.

More PvE needed to collect sets and make new builds.

I'm sure you know why that is! As most people who have played there know, there is a certain Guild that kidnaps the map, and then won't let it go. I myself have left for another campaign, and can only wish good luck to those who remain...

With proc sets, this campaign has become the deadest place in the entire universe. Even Mars has more life than Ravewatch, as there are two active Mars rovers rolling around.

1/1/1 pop during prime time started around the time proc sets was announced.

The whole point of Ravewatch was that proc sets don't work there. Now it's not a unique campaign and it makes no sense to be there.

I loved no proc ruleset and have moved to Greyhost now we've lost it.

Watching entire guilds getting wiped by 5-6 DC players on a daily basis, fighting a blue map, with permanent blue emperors, that's what killed Ravenwatch. It's been going on for months. The last Whitestrakes EP and AD guilds were giving up and going to Blackreach. My worst Whitestrakes for AP in 5 years. If you've been on Ravenwatch PC EU for more than a few weeks you'd know all this. Either you've chosen to ignore it or somehow not noticed.

So, again, proc sets didn't cause PC EU Ravenwatch to die.

    I fully agree.
What I would like is faction lock and no-proc.
I think that would make a difference.
But those are my own thoughts.

It would probably make me go back to Raven.

The whole point of Ravewatch was that proc sets don't work there. Now it's not a unique campaign and it makes no sense to be there.

Ravenwatch was more popular than Gray Host before the no-proc change.

For those who want to know, here is what happened, and why you are looking at 1/1/1 bars in primetime nowadays.

For a long time, no-proc Ravenwatch retained a degree of popularity because it was less laggy than Gray Host. With the old servers, Gray Host during prime time was literally unplayable (5 second skill delay, extreme lag and stutters, etc.). So there were a fair number of guilds still active in Ravenwatch on all sides.

When the new servers arrived in 2023, game performance became pretty much the same across all campaigns. So there was less incentive for especially the more organized groups to remain on Ravenwatch. They started moving towards the CP campaigns as it was easier to find fights there. I played with one of the last ballgroups on Ravenwatch (Noxious), and even with a group of 8 players there were absolutely no good fights outside of the usual guild nights, so Mon, Wed, Fri between 8 and 10 PM CEST.

Factions on Ravenwatch became more imbalanced. As said, the more organized groups started moving away, leaving mostly zergs and casual groups. Some DC groups remained, and they started to dominate the map, simply because there was nothing to contest them, and they appear to enjoy playing an empty map. So the only action that still happened was when the huge Ayrenn's Lights group was on AD 3 nights a week, and when EP's remaining guilds occasionally banded together to get things done on the map on those same nights. Outside of those specific days and times, Ravenwatch was already a complete ghost town.

Then the proc change happened. The few guilds that still played Ravenwatch mostly did so because they did not want to adapt to proc gameplay, but U43 forced their hand. So, of course, they started getting proc builds, which now allowed them to play their compositions in any campaign.

Meanwhile, Ravenwatch was still being dominated by DC who hold the entire map and make sure to nip in the bud any signs of life on the other factions. They are not interested in PVP or challenging fights; they just want to keep the map blue and be perma emp. Even as a solo shooting a ballista at a random outpost, you would soon get chased away by multiple groups. This includes the emp group but also a bunch of DC guilds who ride their coattails for ez wins. It is their right to play like that, but you are looking at the result of this kind of gameplay now.

The traditional Ravenwatch guilds, who now had proc sets, were faced with the choice to either bang their heads against a fully blue map every other night, or go to Blackreach or Gray Host and actually have fun playing again. Guess which one they picked?

Proc sets did not kill Ravenwatch. They just gave an 'out' to any remaining guilds who had previously not been motivated to go through the effort of changing to proc set-ups. Procs have the image of leading to cheap and boring PVP. But since they were forced to use these set-ups anyway, they experienced how fun it is to actually play a populated and relatively balanced campaign, and they had no desire to ever set foot in Ravenwatch again.

So yeah, you can reintroduce no-proc, add a faction lock or whatever you think will help. But I can guarantee you that the guilds that moved to greener pastures will not return.
