So whatever happened to that Q&A?

Well, retrospective letter is up, not a peep about a Q&A or update 35 at all.
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/623804/studio-director-s-letter-eso-s-2022-retrospective-the-future#latest
So, it is safe to assume they are just going to silently ignore this promise they have made, and so I have no reason to waste another second with this game.

No we can't let ZoS ignore what they caused (JU35) and promised to deliver on (the Q&A). Matt briefly touched upon U36 and it's myriad of issues but not U35 the topic of this very thread so ZoS still owes us the Q&A that THEY promised us. After 2022 "trust me, we'll do better" is unacceptable. ZoS owes their paying customers an Plan of Action and Milestones with measurable targets to implement those changes and not more "trust me bro, it'll be better next year" like we've gotten each year prior.

@ZOS_Kevin we need a concrete update on when the U35 Q&A that ZoS promised the community given the retrospective just posted and it's total omission of all thing U35. I don't care if it's Matt and Rich sitting in their living room over vacation but the Q&A must happen and it needs to cover the community's issues with U35 and not just tap dance around the community sentiment.

    Well, that's very odd.

Maybe they think the people who hated U35 have already left.

Or maybe U35 was part of the new system and they can't talk about any of it till the reveal event.

I'm curious so don't anyone take this the wrong way, but for everyone saying zos owes us, or we need to force them, make them etc. How? They can(and often do) do what they want. It's their game, and if they wanted to put it on autopilot or shut it down they've made their money off of it. They don't have much competition (especially on consoles) so unless something like what WOW did to EQ happens and a company makes an MMO by listening to the pain points on ESO they have little motivation to change their ways. Ruined reputation? Hasn't hurt them so far in all these years. Where you gonna go? Some may leave, but enough stay to keep the lights on. Again, where are you gonna go.

Don't get me wrong, decades of corporate retail management SCREAM at me that their management style is.... lacking. But I had so much competition nationwide it was just a bloodbath and customer image played a HUGE part of it. They don't have that and can do as they please. They can flat out tell you to shut up, give them your money, or leave. And that basically, IS your choice. Yes by all means provide feedback, but if they show they don't want to deal with it well that's that I guess. I remember the cash shop thread, and I was here for the response to the rude customer (you don't have to be here) they do as they want.
    They always have.

So, with limited competition, at times open disgust for/ignoring the customers, and still making money. Again, how is anyone going to MAKE them Q&A on changes they already said in the same paragraph that they think will help the health of the game? They've already made their money and will continue to do so despite a bad reputation, especially with a new MMO in the works. "You don't have to be here" is the face I put for this company. And they're right. I don't LIKE that attitude in a company, but they're right. Once you've left feedback, what are you gonna do?

The absence of any mention in Firor's note is not surprising, given the assumption that it has been quietly canceled.

I agree with a majority of this, but one aspect that can be used (and is being used at the moment on youtube etc) is the bad press its getting from players old and new. Theres so many videos from diehard eso creators with large platforms (nefas, brah, deltia etc) who are actively telling those interested in starting ESO to stay away if they want to do more than random questing. The difference this time is that the content creation community on youtube is dramatically smaller compared to previous years which has allowed positive content to drown out the more critical content. But if you go there now its the other way around. This is also aparent on twitch with the huge drop in viewership and streamers. If zos cant get more potential whales to pick up the game while the current community shrinks even further, then their profits can take a hit. Even though that may not result in anything regarding the QA in particular, it can make them go back to the drawing board.

You are right that we cant actively force them to do the QA as its their game, but keeping pressure on them in other ways can help.

Okay, none at the year end. They have one last chance to make it right, the next significant patch. If nothing happens u37, they have officially broke their promise imo.

Not only no mention of the U35 Q&A in the producer’s letter, but no mention of the “update to address player sentiment over U35,” either.

A clear demonstration of how much value we should be placing in words from management.

I think that was the final nail in the coffin for any remaining hope of a QA.

The truth is right there, the studio director specifically made the choice not to address U35 at all. No acknowledgement, nothing, despite taking a moment to address U36. That speaks volumes.

Anyone still waiting for the QA, ZOS just made their stance on U35 very clear - pretend it never happened and move on.

But that's just it. Saying nothing isn't very clear. Obviously, no one thinks they're actually going to do a Q&A from 4 months ago, but the point is ZoS apologizes of poor communication [snip] rather than simply write that the Q&A is cancelled.
Community Engagement, you're failing again. You know it, and we know it.

Is this true? Did it happen in one stream (still not ok) or is it across the board? Not cool!
Something addressing more concerns would be nice if it's not going to be update 35 (which as already stated is probably too long ago to happen). I'm tentatively hopeful from the letter, except for the fact this thread is still ignored.

Just a personal opinion: when someone uses "we truly believe" that means they have no proper justification for their course of action.
This thread always makes me remember a dev stream for another game, where they had a whole 10-minute video showcasing and explaining rework of a single... uhm... I guess in ESO terms that would be "class". Imagine having a proper dev stream for something as major as U35, with showcasing differences, rotation and DPS changes, devs pretending to be n00bs to demonstrate raising the floor, proving that new version is better... I'd watch that.
