At this point, anything would be better than nothing. Maybe not even an interactive Q&A. Just a list of maybe the top ten questions users have with answers.

If I were going to pick my single top question it would be "How did you expect reducing damage across the board was going to help me (mid-level player) to get into more vet content?"

This exact question is what I would like to know too. I can not believe that after 4 months we are still waiting. I have actually gone from being able to hold my own to needing help doing world bosses again. Like seriously?!

It's really not that hard to cancel something, officially. It's the bare minimum of communication. I don't think it's being rude or uncompassionate to ask for the bare minimum. It really makes you wonder why they still have a forum if they can't manage to simply announce a change in plans.

U35 was the last straw for many players that have been around since beta. End game players are fleeing ESO in droves now days. ZOS surely sees this and that's probably why we will never get a Q&A about U35.

Actually I'm not waiting for it anymore knowing d4 will launch alongside eso's next chapter time wise, the choice is already made lol.

No, that is the epitome of the wrong answer - that is enabling unacceptable behavior that will only get worse the more the community allows it. ZoS told the community they'd do better several times in the past on several topics such as communication (I don't see a lot of communication from ZoS on U35's Q&A do you?) and then failed at doing better at what they committed to so this is already a pattern of behavior with ZoS and they have no more goodwill to burn with many of us who have seen the same pattern of behavior over and over and over again over the years. The community didn't ask ZoS for a Q&A, ZoS told us they were going to do a Q&A about U35 based on the community's reaction to U35 so this was all ZoS' idea and at this point they better darn well deliver what they promised us. ZoS even moved the goalpost on the Q&A from a Q&A about U35 to a Q&A to address the sentiment around U35.

I've been on these forums and in game since Beta, and until mid year this year I was positive about ESO and ZoS both in game, in guild, and on the forums but U35 in all its controversial glory and the dev's social media shenanigans not only around U35 but in the recent past broke the deference and positivity I had and now I'm calling out bad behavior and poor business practices.

Surely you jest, [snip] certainly you don't have such low standards for a multi-billion dollar company like ZoS. There was ample time over the past 3-4 months to execute this Q&A this is just someone waiting until the night before a paper is due to write a term paper when they had the previous quarter to do it. My compassion ends when the product I pay for via subscription and onetime purchase is broken and buggy for months when basic combat functions such as blocking is borked halting or retarding group progression in trial and dungeon progression groups. If manpower is an issue ZoS better start posting LinkedIn notices or hiring contractors because their HR issues aren't my concern as a paying customer, only the state of the product they deliver to me.

Here is my A to the Q's they have no desire to A.

Also, would you do a Q&A after the unmitigated failure that has been their update 35/36 combat changes. It wouldn't be any sort of friendly seminar. More like a court martial. Great Akotosh endgame is a wasteland. I log on in at peak time and find maybe 8 friends on. All my PVE raid guilds folded and the hundreds of discords I have are just empty. Steam charts show general pop is down to by probably 30% from where you would expect given recent years overall and seasonal trends. I doubt that has a whole lot to do with combat changes though. Probably more to do with horrid server performance and remarkably buggy recent releases. Bad all around. Going to be a heck of a ZOS Christmas party this year. More like a wake.

The "buck-stops-here" person at ZOS is not shy about saying that it was his decision.

It is more likely that they don't think we need to have these questions sentiments addressed. If they did, they would have done it already.

As for Soon™, that has been a thing here for a long long time. Not sure if it was before or after the EA thing, though.

Soon™ is such an old meme that I have been using it since at least 2008, definitely not exclusive to EA LOL.

There was another thread with a hundred pages, the outfit slot being character bound and costing 1500 crowns, not once did they comment on that thread, and I have a feeling they will not comment on the Q&A either, no matter for how long we ask for clarification. There is no mystery, it's basically very bad management (and in my own opinion, some sort of chip on the shoulder with certain part of the community).

This is why I'm always amazed by the players rushing to their defense about anything. How is this behavior defensible? A months long inquiry about a Q&A they themselves announced is being completely ignored...that's just terrible, almost childish, behavior on the part of the community management team.

I think the crux of the problem is they have burned through much of their player trust. In many other games, this wouldn't be an issue. They announced somewhere around U36 they'll have to get it to it at a later date and in other games people would wait for the next patch to see what happens, rather than making a giant thing out of having to wait each week between patches, before the company could fix anything.

But instead people are making a giant show out of the weeks between patches that it hasn't happened yet, because they have no trust that it will ever happen or that anything will be fixed next time around. And that lack of trust is not unwarranted.

Then they need to come out and say we have changed our minds and won't be doing a Q&A. It won't cause any more damage to the reputation of ZOS than has already been done by their stonewalling and most players would write it off as par for the course.

To add to the cruxes... ... the "crux of the problem" is that the players have very little control over whether ZOS keeps promises or not. We can quietly accept that they don't follow through on things, or complain about it until we get tired of complaining. I prefer the latter, but the outcome is the same both ways.

I prefer the latter because silence is often misinterpreted as assent.
