50 minutes into event, not even prime time yet, login and character load kaput... so yesterdays' maintenance did not resolve the issue

This is beyond a joke. Zos get your house in order. This year has been one disappointment after another. There is a very simple thing you can do to improve things, listen to players! Players told you what they want from new chapters, what they want from account wide achievement's, and we told you not to do the PCEU sharding just before a major event. You keep making mistakes the community warn you about.

Yup, everything utterly broken again. I really wonder what they thought to have fixed the last time characters couldn't be loaded. There was emergency maintenance, but it looks like the fix wasn't really a fix.

1. There is a problem with logging in
2. Reloading servers for 4 hours
3. Nobody logging in

Stuck in "requesting character load" again on PC EU, just like last night.

Edit: Did manage to get one character in (after a 20 min or so wait), now the next character is trying to log in (not really a way to get the writs or any other dailies done for the event).

Stuck on "requesting load" for a while.
I closed the game then reopened. I got a queue notification that passed nearly instantly.
But then, again, "requesting load"

I'm just going to leave it and hope it logs in eventually.. I got something to read for at least 5 mins anyway..

Why wait until 11.30BST to reboot / repair the servers -- why not now?
Inconvenient for those who are already logged in (until they change alt and get the same issue) - but there are going to be a lot of people missing out tonight that could have joined in for an hour or so later on.

We're back where we were yesterday on PC-EU. 'Requesting character load' eventually leads to getting dropped for inactivity. Time to play server troubleshooting roulette again. Maybe you'll get lucky this time!
