And with the hybridisation changes we are getting as well, this game is feeling more like and Elder Scrolls game than ever.
The main thing I think this improves is getting rid of players who sell achievements, farm runs, trifectas, even emperor is sold by endgame communities. They could carry people for free out of the kindness of their heart, but where is the profit in that?
I do want spellcrafting, but I love card games. I honestly wanted a multiplayer minigame system for a long time, so I'm glad the team delivered. Playing against my wife with some stakes will be fun

I do think that completing endgame content should have more rewards, maybe similar to how vAS has an additional polymorph---which can be sold and incentivizes replays. Some things could be mounts (less flashy than trifecta mounts), outfits, exclusive trial motifs, mementos, and all other assorted stuff.
Thank you for account wide titles with this. With how BGs are now it's the only way I would be able to have appropriate and immersive previously earned titles on some later made alts.
Let the vocal people have their optionality if it's what they are asking but a lot more of us asked for this change for a long time. A few addons and no one will ever remember they need tracking or pop-ups in a few months because modders will find a way to make it. Or maybe it will be an official addition. On release or in the next update.
Just don't take back hope from people who are very exited for this change only because they have no need to bombard the forums.

Account wide achievements are a great idea but implementing them by deleting all the existing ones and mashing stuff up so all the addons break and you can't actually see important things you need to know like dungeon progress per character is actually dumber than dark convergence.

Out of curiosity, where is this notion coming from? I've seen a few players mention it, but there was nothing in the patch notes about their motivation for converting to account wide achievements. Did they state that it was for performance reasons on some other social media?

I love looking back on my oldest characters and seeing when they hit benchmarks, like Slaughterfished achievement, or Level 10, seeing back in 2014 or 2015 when they got it. Will these achievements and dates be gone completely once they merge?
It’s interesting to note that the people against this change are giving detailed explanations as to why they feel it’s wrong. On the other hand, the folks in favor are mostly giving generalized praise as to why they like it. “I’m so happy about this change!” “It’s good for the game!” Well, let’s hear exactly what it is that makes this such a good thing for you.

For me personally achievement system is a checklist of things that the game suggests I should do in order to get a full experience. In a single-player games once I have all the achievements done, I consider that I have done everything that the game has to offer, and sometimes hunting for one or another achievement while being a frustrating experience, feels satisfying when completed.
After playing gw2 for years (which has global achievements), coming to ESO and finding that in order to get all achievements I have to pretty much create a jack-of-all-trades character who specializes in stealth, PvP, endgame group content (dd, heal and tank), crafting, questing in all maps, being a werewolf and then vampire etc. With the inventory limitations, costly (time and money wise) set crafting/acquisition and respeccing, the idea that I would be locked to just this one character/class to achieve all this felt mind numbing. I did want to play other classes after all.
So I caved in and made several other characters, one specifically as an endgame healer, one strictly for PvP, one for thieving/murdering and some more. Some of those achievements took me months to complete, some trifectas took many frustrating weeks, and I am yet to try trial HMs. And it is frustrating that the titles that I get after all this hard work are just stuck on the characters whose single purpose is to do one task and I play them only occasionally.
Do I want to redo some of these long collections, mind numbing trial achievements, trifecta runs, PvP titles on my main? Absolutely not! I have dedicated, specialized characters for these activities. But I do want all of them, especially my main, to enjoy the same benefits as the others, and yes, titles included. In my eyes, all of my characters work towards the same goal but from different angles and I really appreciate that now that goal is unified. So I really welcome this change.

Still easy to do
Group event arent included
As for questline and dungeon, as long as its not whitevon the map, the quest isnt finished

Some collection quests are tracked by Achievement dialogues, e.g. Relics of Summerset. It looks like these are not repeatable now. I just tested this by getting the Monochrome Paintbrush ticked off on one character, logged in on another character and found that it was no longer there for them to pick up.
Has anyone seen what happens to the adoring fan and Choixth? Are they only going to appear for the first character now (or never again in my case)?
This is no longer a RPG.

‘A few addons & no one will ever remember…’
Hi. Console player here. So, not an option.
And of those of us who dislike this change, very few have said to stop it completely. We have asked for options.

Really? Because in single player TES titles, on Steam for example you get exactly this - one time unlock from the first character who did it. Would you argue that's still RPG?SerafinaWaterstar wrote: »Thank you for account wide titles with this. And that's exactly why I've added "official addition". A lot of addons became in-game additions in the past years.
Many might not have asked for the reverse and only optionality, but the backlash and the words people are saying just because some can't remember what they did or did not on a character (people who really care about their characters won't forget which path their characters took imo) and the others are too concerned about lvl 10 GOs could end up in delay of this function first and if there will be no option to make everyone happy - cancellation.
People were raging about race changes, armour passives rework too when this was the case and nobody died when changes hit the live server.
And those were more serious than achievements.
