It seems like the whole game itself is slowly dying. The developer is probably moving resources to some other future game (I've seen lots of rumors and hearsay). There is less or worse content every year and literally nothing has been done for PVP in a long long time. My guess is they replace the servers and the recode never happens at all and eventually within a year or 2 the game dies and they use the hardware for something else. Or they're just renting space at Microsoft Azure and can easily repurpose the hardware for another game.

Lag on the screen, lag before any of your skills actually take effect, etc. Hats off to those who play PvP day in and day out. I have no idea how you put up with it.

Yeah you only need Tier 1 for transmutes. But I like it there, so I get 10 characters to Tier 3 every month. And you are correct about the lag, crashes and bugs. It would be so much more fun if they fixed those things.

Tier 3 gets you 50 transmutations though or do all triers give you 50 now?

Its kind of telling that this got unstickied.
You find the latest info about the code re-architecture In the studio directors end of the year message.
https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-gb/news/post/63363
All new severs will go live late Feb/March.
Regarding the code this is the info in the message: "Our multi-threading work continues, as we announced a month or so back. Just to remind everyone, this is the initiative that will result in better overall server performance. As we already announced, we will be phasing these changes in over the course of 2023, starting with the Chapter in Q2."
I really wish we could get some clarity on why this post was unpinned
