I do like it. While I hate PvP with a passion, joining Cyrodill every 6 months for a few days is actually a lot of fun even for a PvP hater like me.
I had a couple awesome hours on PC EU today. The groups had great leaders who explained stuff for the PvE noobs before we went for a target and I haven’t even noticed when 3 hours have passed. We didn’t really achieve much, but it was so much fun assaulting and defending stuff. Half the people I assume were PvE too and rather unprepared, so the PvP guys gave out sieges so we could actually do something.

Yesterday I went with an alt to a below 50 campaign and that was a completely different experience. There were so few of us we got smashed at every thing we tried. Felt like Guerilla tactics rather than war, but it was an amazing experience. Basically it was a real adventure for 2 hours. I completely forgot about tickets and AP, couldn’t care less.

I'm not a big pvp player normally and I am trying to get into it but I always get ganked by invisible enemies when I'm trying to reach the group. Some kind hearted player tries to res me and they gey ganked by the same guy.

Also could do with a visible tag in the map so people can see where the commander/group is?

Nah pvp in this game feels like a completely separate part of the game since it requires so many changes which requires a gold sink and time investment separate from whar a pve character needs. That makes this event feel like a waste.

I love/hate it usually. This year I hate it as never i thought i could.

I decided to do what i needed (as i am not a pvper), i wanted the event achievement, so on the second day after a total of 277 deaths, 0 tel var left, i completed all, even the Horror achievement, and went on vacation on Tamriel. --oups forgot the scamper (?) runner in sewers but this one i can do it during the year. It was 6am when logged off, and beleive me doing this at very old age was not easy haha (very very near to 70)

I met different players, happily more often wanting to help. But as you can guess, i was ganked more than in any nightmare, i met unfair people, begging me to let them do their quests or participate to kill a boss, and then killing me while i was fighting the boss and/or failing my quest. So i am left with a lot of dailies not finished, that i think i will never do and will simply abandon.

And i want to shout out at my Guild, Northen LIghts!!!, as without them, i would not have been able to stay ingame during the event. This is truly one kind of a family guild! Thank you NL, and hat down!!

Depending what quest you get from Battlemaster Rivyn, while I agree that the earn 1000 medals can be quickly done in one match, the other 2 aren't really as quick as a scouting mission in Cyrodiil usually is.
Participate in five Battlegrounds matches. - Not so quick,I mean queue takes only a few seconds but matches can take up to 15 mins each.
Win three Battlegrounds matches.- When doen with randoms it depens on luck more than on skill and even if you are going with premade group still need to do 3 matches.

This is only my opinion but scouting mission in Cyro is the quickest way to earn those 2 tickets, now if we are talking about fun then I agree,Bgs are surely the option to go ^^

I had some fun in PVP a while back, and that was a direct result of participating in a Midyear Mayhem event. But as time went on, I was spending about 20% of my time having and fun and 80% just feeling irritated. Eventually, the latter part caught up with me and I couldn't ignore it. I don't play games to feel irritated. Now I just ignore anything associated with PVP.

This mirning I headed into the Imperial City on PC EU to grab my ticket and boon boxes for today. I checked the map to see which districts were blue, and decided to go to a red district that's the one I normally start with.

When I ran up the stairs to grab a bottle of wine, I saw a blue glowing treasure chest and couldn't resist the temptation. I went around to the side by the wall, so I was facing the room, squatted down, and started to pick the lock. I thought, "I should force the lock for speed so I don't get surprised by an enemy player," but the other day I'd noticed that forcing locks doesn't grant any XP, so I'd decided to pick locks as much as possible.

Just as I was finishing the last 2 tumblers, I noticed a red-silhoutted figure standing there. "Great, it's either an enemy player that's about to kill me for half of my TV, or an enemy NPC that followed me up the stairs and is about to attack." I finished the lock, grabbed the contents of the chest, looked up-- and there's an EP player standing right there, watching me. So I turned to the right, thinking to jump over the broken wall as I normally do-- and there's an AD player standing there, watching me.

I jumped down the stairs, ran out of the building, hopped on my camel, and rode off to kill a Grievous Twilight over near the building with the basin in it. As I was fighting the Grievous Twilight, I saw some EP and AD players fighting it out in the street-- not necessarily the ones I'd been surprised by. I finished off the Grievous Twilight, ran into the building, did the thing at the basin, managed to splash 3 urns without anyone attacking me, and made it to the safety of a balcony in the next district.

The other night I was in Cyrodiil fighting Captain Minwe when an EP player crept up, jabbed at Captain Minwe, then backed off. After I killed and looted Captain Minwe, I moved away from the side the EP player was at, started fighting the other NPCs, and the EP player crept up to loot Captain Minwe's corpse.

Later this morning, I was in Cyrodiil and saw that the map was pretty much entirely blue, so I took that opportunity to grab the last set crafting location and do the Cheydinhal dailies. There were a number of DC, EP, and AD players running around doing the Cheydinhal dailies without bothering each other. In fact, when I was doing the quest that takes you into the nearby delve, an EP player came in after me and we cooperated on killing some of the NPC enemies.

It's times like these that I love this event!

I will say this: it's nice that they give two tickets for Cyro quests and only one for Imperial City quests, as IC is a million times more of a cesspool. Lots of times I just skip IC altogether and can still get the tickets I need.

I rather enjoy the Imperial City districts and sewers-- especially the sewers-- when they aren't overrun by OP one-shotters and gankers, but it's absolutely true that Cyrodiil can be a much more welcoming environment during this event.

Unfurtunaly i only have 2 tickets because of it.

I heard doing battlegrounds dailys gives 1 or 2 seals daily... so at least there's that.

Thanks all for congrats! :) I don't think I'll ever get to Grand Overlord though :/

I've just had the most epic fight in IC ever, and I had no video recording on during it :'( I really wanted to rewatch it and show it to people too... I need to share this fight at least as words, to note every detail to remember :( Such thing happens really only once in a lifetime. I extremely rarely win 1 vs 2, let alone 1 vs more. This time only King Khrogo was on my team all the time <3 I will have very warm feelings to this boss from now on.

This fight was brewing for many hours today, and two storylines lead to it:

    1) I was farming bosses in IC for new monster masks. I was calling out all bosses locations wherever I saw them. But not all my allies were just as respectful :|

    2) There were some nice PvP meetings, but most of it was being zerged down, and then zerging down :D One red stamsorc made me super furious particularly - he was brave when he had few allies near him. But as soon as he became alone, even when 1 vs 1, he started to run away fast.

Just 30 minutes ago, tired after all the farm and about to log out, I was searching districts for boss. When I arrived to Elven Gardens, I saw few of my allies silently killling Zoal boss. Zoal had too low health so my hits didn't allow me to get any loot from him :/ I became really angry, and decided that no matter what boss I see next - I won't tell anyone about him.
I arrived to Arena, and saw King Khrogo. He doesn't drop any monster set, so I could let him go... But I wanted some loot, so I started the fight. Silently. I was dragging the boss into secluded location, when a red nightblade tried to gank me. I survived, but then few more reds appeared. I killed one of them, but died at the end. Luckily, I respawned at Arena, and run back. I saw reds fighting my King, and THAT COWARD stamsorc was among them! >:) My natural "YOLO attitude" was combined with my fury!
The fight became chaotic, I didn't believe I will survive. I was trying to avoid all the AoEs and adds, and heal from all those reds damaging me. Stamblade sniper, magblade bomber (all those adds around me were very dangerous, cause of his Proxy Det), stamsorc, few more not very strong at PvP reds whom I don't even payed attention to (I can't even remember their classes, and those people are only strong in numbers).
I killed King solo many times in the long past, when it was much easier though... I know all his attacks. All those reds were so focused on me, that they didn't understand what boss was doing. I was CCing them in his AoEs, I was damaging them when they were stunned by his fireball. At the ending of the fight, only 3 reds were alive. But nightblades could only break free so much, and then their cloak didn't save them from me and King's AoEs. Stamsorc could run away only so much until he was knocked up by King's fireball and I finished him off.
I finished this battle alone in the middle of Arena. I had almost zero tel var on me before this fight (I die often, and if I have some tel var I deposit often). Afterwards I was standing there with 5,5k tel var, tired, shocked, and triumphant. And none of my allies knew what an epic fight I had without them  This all would never happen if they simply called out Zoal boss earlier :o

Some of reds were high PvP ranks, some not very high - but none of them were newbies just out of tutorial. This made the fight even more shocking for me.

And by default, I have no problem with killing bosses standing next to enemy players. If we don't attack each other, boss is for everyone and I'm not even mad that we get less tel var. Friendly atmosphere is most important, but all players have to be respectable <3 I wouldn't kill the boss standing next to cowardly red stamsorc from my story, for example.
Just earlier today I killed Mazaluhad boss together with red dragonknight whom I don't know (high rank too). I called out the boss in chat, but luckily, my allies didn't come. One of allied nightblades appeared and tried to kill the red player, but he almost killed him in return. So rest of the fight, my allied nightblade spent mostly in cloak. He could get his share of boss, too...

I mean, I can't say I've never had any enjoyable moments in IC. Sometimes it's fun. I've said it a million times, but I know that it's a small (but memorable) percentage of pvpers who are toxic. It's just that I would say that I encounter them far more often in IC than in Cyrodiil.
