So who will get the new polymorph for 500 gems?

Someone pointed out there was no good showcase, so i threw this together (hope it's informative).

Thank you very much for detailed showcase! :) I really appreciate that you used so many emotes in it. I even heard the "Spriggan mob" dying gasp during one of them (with /playdead , I think) :o

But usually people expect showcase while the item is still in store, cause now it would be too late if somebody decided to buy it... But it finally puts me at ease - I do not regret not buying this polymorph. Silent combat and Spriggan mob voice are not for my taste :( And if I wanted a polymorph with simple female voice, I would use Draugr on my female characters (it has female Nord voice, but with slighty lower pitch).

To make recording polymorph showcase easier and faster, I would recommend to do these basic actions:

    - riding a mount (making it sprint)
    - using abilities and skills which normally have voice attached to them (jump, bash, light attack, heavy attack, Vigor, Expansive Cloak, Steel Tornado, Wall of Elements etc)
    - showing combat sounds (break free, taking damage)
    - using three emotes which normally have clear character voice attached to them ( /lol , /cheer , /angry )
The only thing that would make it look better was if there was a way to have a leaf-like aura around them. Or some sort of leafs floating around them.

Did you try leafy auras from Wild Hunt crates? I think those look very good for green theme, and they would really compliment the polymorph. To not destroy the texture of the polymorph with Wild Hunt Transform, you could use Floral Swirl Aura or Wild Hunt Leaf-Dance Aura. Sadly, these mementos don't work in PvP areas...
Of course, at price of 500 gems, the polymorph should have special effect already built-in :(
Currently I am using the wild hunt camel with it, but I don't like the wildhunt mounts for this polymorph. And there are not really any other green mounts/nature mounts in-game, especially ones that match this polymorph.

For green theme, there are also Gloomspore Apex mounts and Green-Graht Ghost Cat. That cat actually uses all the effects from Wild Hunt mounts (minus the flowers and grass at their feet) :)

    PIPR8IT.png

Some more green mounts (not really about nature though): Plague Husk Horse, Dark Aeon wolf, Plagueborn Senche-Panther, Venomous Wolf-lizard.
PS: Possible crownstore option: Character effects?

Yes please  And they should work in PvP areas.

I've decided not to buy it, because of the price & like most polymorphs it is not customizable on a character.

It looks cool though and I will definitely enjoy it onto others.

what kind of annoys me, is that this FEMALE polymorph uses MALE dance emotes, even if you use it on FEMALE players.

It would look rather cool using a female dark elf dancing style - slow and melodic, not hectic and rough like the male ones.

    Intended or bug?
I think this should not happen on such an extraordinarily expensive item.

Think I have seen one person so far with it... they might have been a little too greedy with this one. I might have been tempted for 200 but 500 no sir that’s a hard pass.

The Wild Hunt memento transforms your player character and your Werewolf - there is a memento refresh addon for PC that auto casts when off CD - it’s a bit janky but worth checking out.... and waaaaaaay better than the Spriggan IMO.

It just feels so weird to stroll through, let´s say Alinor, and see Spriggans, Draugr, Skeletons and similar creatures running around, shopping at the merchant, crafting etc... I mean, usually I go and kill such creatures, what are they doing in the cities? I will never understand the point of that.

At launch they were a bit more hardline with dyes and costume options and scantily clad clothing (apart from WE). Now they are like w/e pay me 500 dollar and you can see everything baby... a quick visit to any capital city and it’s like a Japanese MMO on crack.

but you have the same issue with alliances. They are at war, usually a dark elf (ebonheart pact) would attack a highelf (Aldmeri Dominion) in cyrodiil, but at the crafting stations all war is forgotten.

In an mmo where all different type of people must share common resources (this includes visiting "enemy zones"), logic automatiically breaks. In so far monsters at the crafting stations match pretty well.

And the description states something like taking the GUISE of a Silvan Spriggan (note the legs) instead of being a formal race. So to me I just see people incanted with a spriggan’s appearance

Actually, there is a huge number of NPCs of different races in almost all zones (excluding two Summerset isles, but even there it is possible to find orc or dunmer NPCs). War is a matter of soldiers. Civilians don't engage in war.

Well, it is the reason I haven't bought this polymorph. With legs it is impossible to use this for RP reasons.

Wow, sorry, what? 500 gems??? I was absolutely ecstatic when this polymorph was mined and saved up ever since, still internally crossing fingers that it will be a direct purchase, but I only have 300. Screw that. Bah!

Yea 500 gems is way too much for a polymorph,as I mentioned I will wait for the brown version of it (if it will ever come out).
If not, then not.My character can live without being a tree, specially my bosmer.

Even sillier is Polymorphs for Halloween where like 1200. Like why skyrocket it

Werewolf Lord was initially given away free as a daily login.

No :o I would request refund if that was the case. I bought it back in 2016 during it's first release, and I was very disappointed by the voice of that polymorph in combat, plus few little things. If I didn't already own it, would I buy it nowadays? No :(

No paid polymorphs were given as daily login rewards.

There is still no good showcase of Sylvan Spriggan polymorph, and I've decided not to buy it just to test the feel of silent combat.
However, I did submit feedback about what disappointed me in this polymorph enough not to buy it, based on feedback of people who own it. Hopefully next Spriggan polymorphs will have female dance animations and cool voice :)

Yes it was given away for free. I never paid for it. So request your refund. It was a free gift that was later sold.

But that doesn´t matter anymore since "any race, any alliance". And I would also see it in that way:

Of course, someone could say that our heroes are rather soldiers than civilians, but there are many RP scenarios why our chars would be in the territory of another alliance (Cadwell already gives us a reason).

/glances at some of the Eastern MMOs I've played.

Uh, not even close. I don't see anyone riding on the back of a giant plush teddybear, I don't see anyone driving a kiddy-sized policecar, I don't see legions of dark elves wearing bikinis & maid outfits, I don't see any mecha... :D

Yes, the periodic guy who dyed his armor lime green & pink can be annoying, and all the glowy/shiny mounts are a bit much. But it's literally nothing compared to the usual "we don't care about lore" f2p MMO.

edit2: thinking further on it - except for being made with better graphics, this game doesn't even reach the heights of WoW back when I played it the first few expansions. My Troll Hunter/Master Engineer, with flaming/spiked shoulderpads (when it wasn't riding a smoking purple dragon) rode around on a Helicopter or Motorcycle, shooting things with steampunk shrink rays and throwing bombs & fireworks. Etc, etc, etc.

edit: but no, not interested in the polymorph. I don't use any of them.

Technically player characters working for alliances are spies in case of AD (Eye of the Queen) and nobody in case of EP and DC (as far as I remember, there is no position we take during these alliance quest lines, we just happen to come and help). Cyrodiil is out of story and, realistically, since the war is not stopped by the alliance leaders, all soldiers are in the Cyrodiil still and have no right to go to any other zone (those who try would be deserters).
Then again that (hero of the alliance) is only the case with one and only one character per alliance who might be searched for by other alliances not for his race, but for his known face (but that is prevented by the Meridia gift, as you have mentioned already).

When a nereid polymorph pops up then I'll fork out the gems. Although tbh I'm really hating this gem standard where the cooler the item the less likely it'll be sold for crowns.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Think I have seen one person so far with it...

On PC EU, I see Spriggan polymorphs very often... Few times every day. I haven't even seen so many of regular Halloween-exclusive polymorphs (and those costed "only" 1200 crowns every year) :D
Yes it was given away for free. I never paid for it. So request your refund. It was a free gift that was later sold.

This is the first appearance of this polymorph in game. I was playing since the beginning of 2016, and I haven't ever seen this polymorph given away for free (and never saw players wearing or mentioning it before the first crown store release). I also can't find anything regarding such free reward anywhere (using the words "Werewolf Lord polymorph free daily reward").
Can you show the official mention of this, or some thread where people were discussing their free Werewolf Lord polymorph as daily reward? Maybe somebody simply gifted you this polymorph?

I dunno where you are hanging around but I did only see 3 people using that polymorph on the same server. But as I said before I am sure more people have it they just don't use it.

It's basically the same case as with this mount

I have seen this specific gem exclusive mount only twice since it got out.

    Sound advice, thank you.

The werewolf polymorph predates daily login rewards, so there is no way it could have been given away “initially” before being sold.

Polymorph premier date: Oct 27, 2016
Daily login system introduced: June 5, 2018 with Update 18

ETA: also not found anywhere in the records of daily login rewards here: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Daily_Rewards

So, I got this polymorph. And I really like it. The only thing that would make it look better was if there was a way to have a leaf-like aura around them. Or some sort of leafs floating around them.

Currently I am using the wild hunt camel with it, but I don't like the wildhunt mounts for this polymorph. And there are not really any other green mounts/nature mounts in-game, especially ones that match this polymorph.

PS: Possible crownstore option: Character effects?

There's a guar that's green i think. Also the Welwa mount from pre-ordering Blackwood

I like it, but it is far too expensive, so I will not be getting it.

Thanks for the green mount suggestions, but I don't have any of them. And I'm using the welwa on another character. Memento's really aren't my thing, showing for only 3-4 seconds is not worth it. If there were any permanent character effects, I'd be interested.

I haven't read all the replies, so I apologize if I'm just parroting anything someone else said, but...

I'm okay with it. I didn't buy it-- didn't have the gems, nor did I have the desire for it, which might be a large part of the reason I'm okay with it (because it didn't particularly affect me)-- but the thing is, the high price makes it more "special," and it seems like some players put a lot of importance on how "special" something is in the game.

Remember when the Psijic villa was given away to everyone? There were complaints of "If everyone has something special, then it isn't special."

    [snip]

Some players seem to feel that having special rewards is really important, that it helps to distinguish them from the rest of the playerbase. And putting a really high price tag on something is one way that it can be made "more special."

But I can live without it, especially since it's just a polymorph-- a really cool polymorph, but still just a polymorph. :) I haven't gotten into trying to collect all of the polymorphs and emotes and personalities yet.

Except for two or three months at the end of last year I have gotten every single daily login reward. I have never seen the Werewolf Lord there. Off hand I can't remember any poly in the daily. It would be very strange that they would sale any item then put it in the login rewards to encourage logging daily. Hey folks, we're so grateful you paid for this item we're now going to give it to you for free for logging into our game. I remember things like costumes showing up in the logins and then going to the crown store but I don't think it works the opposite way. Maybe I'm mistaken but its weird they would ever reward players for logging in by giving away the things they paid for free. At the least it would be a recolor. I don't think they would ever open themselves up to another criticism about the login rewards.
