So who will get the new polymorph for 500 gems?

I like it ^^ But I won't spend 500 gems on it,I guess I don't like it that much after all.
Am curious,is it worh 500 gems for you and will you get it?

There was datamined a brown version of them same polymorph so am rather waiting for that one ^^ May appear in some future crown crate or maybe a crown item instead of gems.

To be honest I am really disappointed in ZOS. I really like the new polymorph and would pay 3-4k crowns for it, maybe more. Putting behind crown crates though is really really poor, and making it so expensive in regards to gems is just not on.

It's greed, pure and simple.

Indeed it is a shame,I knew it would be costing gems as it was announced as such in the crown store showcase but I expected like 200 gems,what already is a lot imo.
For some people it may not be much because they have tons of gems but I rather save up the ones I have for the future.

For me, it is what 500 gems actually represents as a measure of real life dollars. As the amount you potentially get per crate purchase is so random, it could translate into $100 or $300 (or whatever). Point being, at 500 gems, that polymorph isn't going for $30 or anywhere close to a reasonable price.

As a consumer, this is a hard No from me.

And to the ESO monetization team, shame on you for continuing the trend on exorbitantly priced Cash Shop goods.

I was quite disappointed when I learned the polymorph would cost 500 crown gems. Really wish they would get rid of crown gems and just have it so you can buy stuff in crown creates and the store with just crowns.

Yea 500 gems is way too much for a polymorph,as I mentioned I will wait for the brown version of it (if it will ever come out).
If not,then not.My character can live without being a tree,specially my bosmer.

Somehow I missed the info about it being a a crown gem item, and I was prepared to get it for - what I assumed - around 2k crowns. What a huge dissapointment it turned out to be. I have enough gems, but I'm so sick and tired of this crown crap nonsense. I decided to cancel my sub, I'm not going to support this greed anymore.

I personally know some people who have been excited about this specific polymorph (mostly for RP reasons) and have been very disappointed about the price as well.Everything has its limits.

I saved up some crowns for this polymorph too and furious its locked behind gems, I almost feel forced to gamble on crates. Very disappointing. There are no other methods to obtain this.

That's the point and problem with things like micro-transactions, gambling, and predatory practices in todays video game industry, therein lies the problem. The bigger question is, who will change first; the consumer or the company? Until then, this is how it is...

I'll probably get it. Polymorphs keep me entertained for at least five minutes plus, if we keep giving them money, they're bound to spend it on fixing the bugs eventually.

For my taste, in game this polymorph looks much better than on promo picture.

I collect all polymorphs which have interesting voices. But I will wait first, to see if somebody can post showcase video of this polymorph's voice

Definitely not worth the price.. I bought it for sentimental reasons, but it's very much disproportionately priced compared to previous content of it's likeness.

Pros:
- Very detailed body and texture details
- Immersive wood-grinding sounds during attack animation and when playing certain emotes

Cons:
- No unique animations
- No unique emotes
- No voice audio (is mute for attack animations and certain emotes (ex. headache), and uses default female voice for other certain emotes (ex. shout))

I'm conflicted on calling the lack of animations a con, only because ZoS has made the odd choice that Polymorph built-in animations/personalities override the player's choice of personality from their collectibles. Alas, i choose to be pessimistic.

Dataminers have found three more re-texture variations will be introduced to the game later on (Azure Blight, Bloodroot and Winterborn). If you're alright with not getting the traditional Spriggan appearance, i'd recommend waiting for those. At least one will probably be available through the "Unstable Morpholith" in-game event tickets system.

Oh this is very good to know thank you for the information,I was only remembering the bloodroot version and this normal one.

That is just too many gems. I havent bought Crates in a few cycles, so admittedly, I am a bit skewed in my perspective, but that just seems like an absurd number for a skin. I do like it and was looking forward to it, but I am not going to dump the bulk of my gem supply on this.

I know its a hard question to ask because its not consistent, but has anyone done some rough calculations of the Gem/Dollar ratio?

I bought it, I regret it. It's a very high quality texture, but the fact that there are no custom animations or sounds really makes it not worth the 500 gems.
