then found out that It's only a Female Polymorph with no sounds or anything so a huge deal breaker.
The Wild Hunt Transformation is way cooler in my opinion.
Yeah, that's what I don't get. They already had the assets for a male (or non-gendered) character skin, so why not use it as an alternative?
Can't wait for the Bloodroot Spriggan to be priced at 1200 gems like a Radiant Apex
I didn't pay a cent, called buying with gold

I am actually waiting for red variant, but 1200 gems sounds not very realistic
I'm still not sure if I will want Bloodroot Senche, but I have 3 other mounts who would look nice with Bloodroot Spriggan polymorph. Hopefully designers will make new nice voice for this polymorphI didn't pay a cent, called buying with gold
I use the same option, but it's not less valuable. Don't forget - somebody else had to pay real money to get you all those crates.
I buy any item if I feel the need to use it, so if this green Spriggan had nice voice, I would have bought it already and we would all have in-depth showcase videoPolymorphs enhance my combat experience, replacing ordinary character voices with new unique voices.
I still think about current Spriggan, cause I read that apparently it has no voice in combat at all. So far my most quiet combat polymorph is Wraith of Crows. Having polymorph option for totally silent combat is both weird and curious... Can somebody who owns Sylvan Spriggan please post nice showcase video?
"Low-price" version of this green theme: Pumpkin Spectre, who has nice creepy voice
Source: https://www.begambleaware.org/sites/default/files/2021-03/Gaming_and_Gambling_Report_Final.pdfTo investigate notions of financial harm, we conducted a secondary analysis of six open access datasets of loot box surveys, aggregating the freely available data. The combined dataset comprised of 7,767 loot box purchasers, and our analysis established that a disproportionate amount of revenue is derived from high-level spenders. For example, around 5% of loot box purchasers in our dataset (those spending more than around £70 / $100 per month, or local equivalent) generate around half of industry revenue from loot boxes. Moreover, almost one third of these top 5% of spenders fall into the ‘problem gambler’ category.
Conversely, there is no evidence that higher loot box spend is correlated with higher earnings. Our research therefore demonstrates that games developers, unwittingly or not, appear to be generating outsized loot box profits from at-risk individuals (these are likely to include both people with gambling problems or problematic patterns of video gaming) – but not from wealthy gamers.

This type of item is there for very longterm players who have amassed piles of eso+ crowns and have nothing left to use them on. So they get a daft little graphic thing as a reward. Better that than something which affects gameplay.
If there are some people desperate enough for pixels that they buy and recycle crates solely for the morph, that's their own bad judgement. Just say no.
No, it's a problem. It's great that you don't care about these things, but many people who do want to collect items like this (especially since the Polymorphs that you can earn in game are mostly lackluster) are basically told to either spend or dream. I understand that you do not care for these items but I do ask that you think about those of us who do care and want to RP. Regardless it makes no sense to price a polymorph more than your own game, expansions and DLC.

People who defend clown crates and the clown store in general as "iTs JuST CosMEtiC" forget that cosmetics are a huge part of mmos. Standing out and looking nice is a part of that and zos knows that. Hence the predatory gambling mechanics. The lengths people go to defned these scummy tactics always astounds me.
I'm a fan of Jim's video ripping into the "it's just cosmetic" excuse. Like yeah, it's totally just cosmetic so that's why video games never changed their graphics past the 8-bit era, right? It's just cosmetic. Replace everything in the game with stick figures or cubes. I mean, it worked for Minecraft, right?
That seems like a really bad argument. There are plenty of ways to stand out in the game for free. You will stand out more by doing your own custom outfit than by wearing polymorph that looks identical to all who wear it, so this isn't really the thread for grinding that axe.
The 8-bit vs modern graphics argument is really bad. When you make an argument that extreme, it is not convincing. It is just hyperbole. It isn't like there is some separate graphics engine for crown store items.
ZOS are completely shameless.
Anyone who buys this doesn't have a right to complain about performance issues or problems in the game. They're taking in money off something that took someone maybe a day max to do.
They're clearly not investing that money into the game as performance is worse than ever. The product is worse than ever. Every patch has more bugs than the last.
But while they keep making money off little polymorphs they have less incentive to sort their game out. Like why would you if you're bringing in cash elsewhere from people throwing hundreds of pounds on lootboxes.
What does 500 gems equate to in Crate cost? $200? $300? That is.... actually I'm at a loss. It seems they've intentionally released this as kind of exclusive item for heavy spenders. I considered trying for it before knowing the price. There's no way I'm going to open a pile of crown crates as big as my house to get this thing. HARD pass.
I use the same option, but it's not less valuable. Don't forget - somebody else had to pay real money to get you all those crates.

No one said it was less valuable, the dude was assuming that people are "whales" when there are other methods to get crown store items and I simply pointed that out.

Half the price of a new game console... for a pixel transformation?
