Who Skips the pig quest?

Update: For everyone who is confused on why I had trouble with this:

Apples never gave me trouble, it was escorting the dang pig. I always went right (because there are people there cheering you on as well) so I always thought this was the way you had to go.

I only learned after making this thread that you need to go LEFT, then it's easy as pie

Does anyone just... HATE this jester quest? Where you steal the pig and always get a bounty? it's so annoying, I hate doing it and since I got 9 alts, I just do every other quest and jump to another alt.

Only one I do for my 3 tickets. They seem to have nerfed stealing the apples and never had a bounty at all this year

I never get a bounty. there is a very easy route you can take and avoid it entirely. just stick to the left when you are riding back.

now.. the delve quest? THAT I skip. takes twice as long as the other two original quests and competing with people for drops gets real old, real fast.

I just do the 2 in Hammerdeath Arena. Glenumbra quest takes way too long and even though they fixed the bounty you got from the apples, it's still a bit annoying.

I skip the Daggerfall one, too. Just too long. I'd rather do the pranking & arena ones on more characters.

That is the easiest one by far.

Stealing the apples is much easier now. And it’s so easy to steal the pig and get away with no hassles.

Things to keep in mind;

•Go into stealth to steal the apples without bounty.

•Stealing the pig can be done while the player is still mounted.

•Once you still the pig, go up the stairs on the left. Once up the steps, make an immediate hard left and go behind the buildings.

•You may get a warning that the pig has stopped, just wait for the pig to catch up. Stay mounted, there are no guards behind the buildings.

•Stay behind the buildings, keeping the wall to the left, until you get to the city entrance.

•Ride out to quest giver.

Enjoy the achievements. 🙂

Im doing only arena quests.
I love cider and you get outfit pages only from 1st box anyways.
At least, that is what I saw from doing event on my 5 accounts

I skip the Glenumbra ones but this is easy and quick. It's rare for me to get a bounty.

That is the fastest quest to do. Not sure what happened, but the bounty stopped being a problem a couple of years ago, so it's just steal apples, ride like hell, collect reward.

I find the pig one the quickest from the 3 jester king quests. But none of the 6 (?) are any fun to be honest. At least they are comparable fast and don't include waiting for some worldboss that gets melted in an instant.

I've done this quest for so many years I know how to flawlessly navigate the city and not get a bounty. After many years you'll get there as well OP.

problem with bounty was with events before when doesnt matter how or by what you was invisible it was putting you out of invisibility/crouch and get bounty, it was very annoying

now I tried becasue why not with nb cloak, I didnt get out of this, no bounty, later I went on non-nb alt, crouched, hidden and stolen apples and no bounty, nothing took me out of hide when stealing this, finally

Buffed stealing appels as you can steal them with ease now while before it required some thief / stealth build to pull off unless some kind soul killed the ashlanders
The two delves is also much easier as objective drop from mobs.

If I were to skip one, it would be Daggerfall, because you have to go to two delves.

The pig quest is the only one I do consistently. Fast and easy, and doesn’t require multiple ports.

The Glenumbra one is the worst. Two different delves , two visits to the tent (3 including the turn-in) and 3 locations within the city. I never bother with that one anymore.

Wow, I've never gotten a bounty from stealing the pig, even though I don't go to extremes at all to avoid it.

Like @zaria said, it is nice that the two Glenumbra delves now grant objectives for mobs. My healer simply does what she always does in crowded delves/public dungeons: Toss out heals over time all around and loot all the yellow corpses. Healing is very friendly in this regard when so many players are trying to get in at least a light attack before the mobs are dead.

Once I found the 2 for 1 arena quest, I just started skipping the other 4 entirely.

I just don't find humor in a khajiit merrying a pig, at all. Very unpleasant quest, to say the least I understand that it was supposed to be a joke that the king likes to eat so much that he marries his food. It still doesn't take away the unpleasant feeling of that all

It's my favorite JestFest quest. I have done it this year but mostly I have been leveling another crafter for the anniversary event.

& this year they seem to have removed 99.99999% of all the eyes around the mudcrab apple basket so it's dead easy to not get caught (finally)

Only been doing the pig quest because it's faster then the other two original quests.

I did Hammerdeath once, I think ill go back and do that instead.

I'll give this a try, because unless it's on my one NB character, I always get a bounty no matter how careful I am and it pisses me off lol.

For several years of this event, attempting to steal the apples from stealth would always break stealth. I got so frustrated with it that one year I took my (at the time) multi-million bounty character there during the event to repeatedly murder everyone around the apples as a public service.

It appears they finally fixed this bug, but... frankly, I still avoid the quest out of habit. It was broken for multiple years, so I keep figuring it's going to get re-broken and getting the apples will auto-break stealth again. And my multi-million bounty character has gone clean, so... she's not doing the public service anymore of mass murder.

I hate pigs - the only good pig is ham or bacon. This year I'm just doing the Auridon prank quests, and only on two characters per account per server.

It's the only one I'm doing, fastest one for me plus I like the zone. No bounty when you know where to stand.

It's the fastest quest and best place to start first and pick up the new prank quest since the festival area is closest to wayshrine, and sometimes you get the one in skywatch where you can complete it together with the Auridon quest and save time.
