I'm not skipping the pig, I'm skipping the whole event.
Not doing even a single quest a day. The rewards are garbage, I already got 12 tickets banked from the last event, and there is nothing on offer I'm even remotely interested in. And my collections are already chock-full of garbage I never use for anything anyways.
Didn't even do the new ones, 'cause why bother? They are just more of the same busybody work as every other event quest. None of them offer any meaningful gameplay or choices to be made. Just talk to a quest giver, skip some dialogue, then run to the quest target indicator and press a button to activate something, or pick up something or kill a generic mob or something. In any case, after you've gone through the motions, just run back to quest giver and skip some more dialogue for a box that wasn't really worth the trouble.
No-one doing these things are doing them for the story or the thrill of it. Or even really paying any attention to what is going on. Just running around on auto-pilot going through the motion as fast as possible, so they can move on to the next thing on the "busybody time sinks" to do list.
I've farmed enough events in ESO to last me a lifetime. I took one look at what this one offered and said nope. I got unsold junk from last year filling up my guild bank storage waiting to be sold. I've never seen anyone use the silly mementos offered for farming a bunch of do-hickeys, and even the new outfit option offered is ruined by the stupid looking plates glued to the hips.
I really can't see why one would waste any time on this crap. (Doubly so for those who do it on multiple accounts.... ) Some sort of completionist urge? Maybe the sunk cost fallacy of having wasted so much time in getting all the crap from previous events you never use or need? Not having the latest set of RNG collectibles making your account feel uncompleted?
I dunno. To me It's just mind numbing busybody work that offers crap rewards and little gold. I gave up on trying to collect and complete all this meaningless stuff a long time ago, and feel lot less stressed about the whole things as a result. The time wasted on doing the event dailies is better invested in just doing crafting dailies, or... You know, actually playing content that offers interesting and engaging gameplay. But eh... What do I know? Maybe that's just me.
even the new outfit option offered is ruined by the stupid looking plates glued to the hips.

I've done it a dozen times or more already and only got one bounty.

Unless you're wearing heavy armor, then you're more likely to get caught.
If you do get a bounty, best thing to do is just leave the character by the apples, switch to a different character for a bit, then switch back after the first character's bounty has had time to dissipate.

you should do the new quest 'a foe most porcine'...you only have to kill king pig and you get the daily and complete it right outside where you fight him

Have you done it this year? I have done it 10 or so times this iteration and I haven't been caught once. Just crouch first, watch that you are hidden, then loot.
