I'm not skipping the pig, I'm skipping the whole event.

Not doing even a single quest a day. The rewards are garbage, I already got 12 tickets banked from the last event, and there is nothing on offer I'm even remotely interested in. And my collections are already chock-full of garbage I never use for anything anyways.

Didn't even do the new ones, 'cause why bother? They are just more of the same busybody work as every other event quest. None of them offer any meaningful gameplay or choices to be made. Just talk to a quest giver, skip some dialogue, then run to the quest target indicator and press a button to activate something, or pick up something or kill a generic mob or something. In any case, after you've gone through the motions, just run back to quest giver and skip some more dialogue for a box that wasn't really worth the trouble.

No-one doing these things are doing them for the story or the thrill of it. Or even really paying any attention to what is going on. Just running around on auto-pilot going through the motion as fast as possible, so they can move on to the next thing on the "busybody time sinks" to do list.

I've farmed enough events in ESO to last me a lifetime. I took one look at what this one offered and said nope. I got unsold junk from last year filling up my guild bank storage waiting to be sold. I've never seen anyone use the silly mementos offered for farming a bunch of do-hickeys, and even the new outfit option offered is ruined by the stupid looking plates glued to the hips.

I really can't see why one would waste any time on this crap. (Doubly so for those who do it on multiple accounts.... ) Some sort of completionist urge? Maybe the sunk cost fallacy of having wasted so much time in getting all the crap from previous events you never use or need? Not having the latest set of RNG collectibles making your account feel uncompleted?

I dunno. To me It's just mind numbing busybody work that offers crap rewards and little gold. I gave up on trying to collect and complete all this meaningless stuff a long time ago, and feel lot less stressed about the whole things as a result. The time wasted on doing the event dailies is better invested in just doing crafting dailies, or... You know, actually playing content that offers interesting and engaging gameplay. But eh... What do I know? Maybe that's just me.

This is annoying, but try collecting surveys. Yes, you get the mats, but you have to reset each time with an uncertain run away from the spawn area. Yet some will defend the extra work there....

I don't know what you're looking at but that's not accurate. I'm using the chest, legs and shoulder options and they look great. There are no tassets (plates glued to the hips) and the shoulders look more like part of the sleeve than a shoulder.

They fixed it so that it's a lot less likely you'll get caught now.

I've done it a dozen times or more already and only got one bounty.

Unless you're wearing heavy armor, then you're more likely to get caught.

If you do get a bounty, best thing to do is just leave the character by the apples, switch to a different character for a bit, then switch back after the first character's bounty has had time to dissipate.

I hate all jester quests, I do the bare minimum of 1 a day for my tickets. Just the Soars-in-Laughter quests. Really don't care about any of the prizes for this event. None of my characters have a sense of humor apparently. lol

I actually think pranks are a horrible way to be "funny" IRL, but I know some people enjoy pulling them and some people don't mind being pranked. As for my characters' sense of humor, I've found myself getting in the spirit of the event more than usual this year by doing silly things, like attacking and taunting a WB while naked (which is a quick way to the nearest wayshrine), or riding my mount along the top of a hedge, or jumping my mount off a ledge or bridge to more quickly reach the NPCs, landing on top of a kiosk by mistake, and just sit there on top of the kiosk with my mount tilted at a nearly 45-degree angle.

I couldn't agree more. That why I'm not friends with any "pranksters".

But the NPCs being pranked all laugh it off, so I can appreciate the event more in that light.

Have you done it this year? I have done it 10 or so times this iteration and I haven't been caught once. Just crouch first, watch that you are hidden, then loot.

Yep, this year I got a bounty a couple of times-- once in Medium Armor, but that was totally my fault because I let myself get distracted by Twitch and then turned and looted the apples without crouching first (oops). When I got it in Heavy Armor, the Hidden status changed just as I was looting the apples because IIRC the NPC who walks around chose those moment to come back in my direction. So after that I just remove my Heavy Armor and run around in my skivvies, which is always fun.

I never get a bounty from stealing the pig, but I did sometimes get a bounty stealing the apples. They fixed the apples to not take you out of stealth anymore so now for me this is a must-do quest, easily the fastest one. I always skip the dazzler quest instead, won't ever catch me going to two different delves all over the place AND having to run all over the city to spread cheer. That's too many load screens and too much competition for resources for me, I'd rather save time, even though the sparkler part is super fun.

I stopped doin more than one quest a day to get my tickets once i realized the purple ones dont drop the pages, which one i do just depends on wgere i am when i log in. That one is super annoying though. Like i can do it on my main who is super stealthy and still get caught by the farmer on my way back out of nowhere

I got a bounty again last night, on a character wearing Medium Armor. I was completely hidden, but as soon as I hit E to loot the apples that darn NPC who staggers around turned to walk toward the cart and saw me, even though she wasn't that close.

This is the reason why are you never get rid of those thieves guild get out of jail blue things that drop from thieves caches. I have so many of those stupid things that I simply walk right up to the apple basket and steal them in plain sight knowing full well I’m going to get a bounty no matter what I do, I think the guar is dobbing me in!

Then I just use one of those blue thieves documents.

Then its simplicity itself, go to the pig, select it and get on your mount, then turn to face the city and follow the shoreline on the left hand side, maybe kill a few crabs while you’re at it. Go up the stairs and follow the wall on your left hand side behind the buildings. Currently my best time is two minutes and 10 seconds.

My biggest complaint is the drop chance from those boxes. Based on my current average I would have to play this event for nearly 2 months to complete the motif. I cannot see how it is possible to complete the motif and get the pet and it’s upgrade. Also those blue Momento bits are glitched, nothing needs to drop rate that low!

Here's what I do to avoid a bounty. When stealing the apples, first I activate my invisibility skill on my nightblade or take an invisibility potion on other toons. They don't see me steal the apples that way.

Then I quickly run out (on my horse) and get the pig. On the way back I go to the left side of the stairs and run behind the buildings all the way to the other gate. She runs out the front of the buildings and doesn't see me.

It's easy, fast, and I avoid the bounty. I like it better than having to go to 3 cities to throw flowers or go through 2 crowded delves then run around setting off fireworks.

The new one where you fight the pig isn't too bad. The little pig is the one you have to watch out for because he hits harder. You have to remember to talk to the Khajiit cider maker before you go fight the pig or you'll have to fight him twice. You can wait until the end of the fight to collect the apples. You don't have to fight the pig for them during the fight. Also, even though your quest info will say you've collected 1 of 4 apples, you can still take the one to the Khajiit. She'll *** a little but she'll accept it.

And the other new one with the prank in Mistral is quick and easy. Right next to the wayshrine, the longest you'll have to wait is a few extra seconds if he's sitting in the chair.

But the pig isn't that bad, IMHO.

I never even knew you COULD get a bounty. Do you do it in different cities?

The Stonefalls one I just run up the road to the left. People gather around and cheer you, maybe that's the sign you are on the right route?

Only time I got a bounty was stealing the apples because I got charged by one of those NPCs who rushes up to you and gives you a quest whether you want them to or not.

Actually.. the pig quest is the only one I do to get the tickets. I don't have that much time to play. So, the piggy princess is actually the quickest to get done, so I can get to the dailies and crafting writs before I'm janked off from the TV screen.
