Get behind the basket, crouch and you can steal the apples with no bounty. Subtle moves required.

PITA first time i did it. Read a quick post about how to do it (sneak for apples, hang left with pig), now do it first. Easiest by far.

I have not gotten in trouble for stealing apples this year once. They moved the location to make it possible to take without getting nailed.

I do squat to hide and make sure I am clear. I suppose I could get caught if I didn't pay any attention, but you can do it without getting the bounty if you are even somewhat cautious.

Run behind the building to the left when going up the left side and stay along that side to avoid her showing up outside of a building. Very easy to avoid the bounty now.

One very good change, though I bet some would have whined if I had asked for this ahead of time.

I don't do every quest every day even on one character, but I make sure to do them all at least once per festival, including this one.

This year I did end up with a bounty because for some reason even though I was crouching where I usually do the 'hidden' icon was flickering on and off constantly and I got fed up with trying to stop it and just took the bounty. I went around the side of the city to get to the pig, then went afk reading the forum for a couple of minutes and that was enough for the bounty to expire so I could just ride back.

It's annoyingly rare for a festival in ESO to get actual content instead of just extra drops tacked on to the normal daily quests which are always available, so when we do get some actual festival themed activities I'm not going to skip them.

I'm completely bored with the old ones. How many times have I thrown flower petals over the years? A LOT. Besides, those professors don't deserve to be cheered up anyway.

Worse, Stuga yells at me about four times for each instance of the quest.

This one is the fastest of the original three, and with the apple basked fixed it's so much easier now than before. The one I avoid like the plague is the Glenumbra one. You have to go to two delves, compete with other people, then go all about Daggerfall tossing fireworks. I could do without the whole delving hassle.

I only do one quest per day for the tickets, that one is really fast to do, so it's in fact the only quest I do during this event.

And when you have zero stolen items in your inventory, getting a bounty and having to pay 46 gold is sort of a non issue for me. Most of the time I don't even get a bounty, or the guards don't catch me so the bounty disappears by itself.

Stealing the apples is much easier now. And it’s so easy to steal the pig and get away with no hassles.

    Things to keep in mind;

•Go into stealth to steal the apples without bounty.

•Stealing the pig can be done while the player is still mounted.

•Once you still the pig, go up the stairs on the left. Once up the steps, make an immediate hard left and go behind the buildings.

•You may get a warning that the pig has stopped, just wait for the pig to catch up. Stay mounted, there are no guards behind the buildings.

•Stay behind the buildings, keeping the wall to the left, until you get to the city entrance.

    •Ride out to quest giver.

    Enjoy the achievements. 🙂
Agree, the apple bag is moved away from the cart making it easy to steal.
The pig is easy, I tend to keep to the left after I leave the Argonian area until the gate.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

For escorting the pig: I don't go around the houses, or anything like that.

    Free the pig.
    Mount.
Start riding away, the pig will catch up whatever you do.
Go to the left - that's important.
Up the stairs, and then just follow the path through the gate. You ride more or less through the town in full daylight.

Never gotten a bounty on this route.
Going to the right from the Argonian enclave - that'll give you the bounty quite reliably.

I'm not skipping the pig, I'm skipping the whole event.

Not doing even a single quest a day. The rewards are garbage, I already got 12 tickets banked from the last event, and there is nothing on offer I'm even remotely interested in. And my collections are already chock-full of garbage I never use for anything anyways.

Didn't even do the new ones, 'cause why bother? They are just more of the same busybody work as every other event quest. None of them offer any meaningful gameplay or choices to be made. Just talk to a quest giver, skip some dialogue, then run to the quest target indicator and press a button to activate something, or pick up something or kill a generic mob or something. In any case, after you've gone through the motions, just run back to quest giver and skip some more dialogue for a box that wasn't really worth the trouble.

No-one doing these things are doing them for the story or the thrill of it. Or even really paying any attention to what is going on. Just running around on auto-pilot going through the motion as fast as possible, so they can move on to the next thing on the "busybody time sinks" to do list.

I've farmed enough events in ESO to last me a lifetime. I took one look at what this one offered and said nope. I got unsold junk from last year filling up my guild bank storage waiting to be sold. I've never seen anyone use the silly mementos offered for farming a bunch of do-hickeys, and even the new outfit option offered is ruined by the stupid looking plates glued to the hips.

I really can't see why one would waste any time on this crap. (Doubly so for those who do it on multiple accounts.... ) Some sort of completionist urge? Maybe the sunk cost fallacy of having wasted so much time in getting all the crap from previous events you never use or need? Not having the latest set of RNG collectibles making your account feel uncompleted?

I dunno. To me It's just mind numbing busybody work that offers crap rewards and little gold. I gave up on trying to collect and complete all this meaningless stuff a long time ago, and feel lot less stressed about the whole things as a result. The time wasted on doing the event dailies is better invested in just doing crafting dailies, or... You know, actually playing content that offers interesting and engaging gameplay. But eh... What do I know? Maybe that's just me.

They finally fixed stealing the apples last year, so no bounty there. Go up the left stairs and then around the perimeter of Ebonheart, between the buildings and the wall. No bounty. Ever.

I have had to pay a bounty for the pig and the apples this year twice

Did it a few times until I got the no bounty achievement, now just doing the hammerdeath pig and one apple because the purple boxes aren't worth the effort and I can't be bothered to stand around getting apples when I can just burn the pig down in a few seconds. There are better ways to use the double XP time.

    Can I applaud you?

I'm doing one quest per day, just to get the tickets that I use to buy the new collectibles I know I'll never use because they're not very nice, but I can't help myself because I'm a hopeless completitionist. Still, for those of us that have been playing the game for years and have the achievements in all the characters three times over, the rewards of this event are very disappointing to put it mildly. The same banners, and coffers and direct-to-be-destroyed trash that we've been getting every year. Nothing new or mildly intriguing. Just because the festivity is supposed to be a joke doesn't mean the game is. They should really give something worth pursuing, like furnishing plans (I'd totally do the events just for the chance of completing collections), motifs, transmutation geodes, heck, even mats or style materials would be a worthy reward.

Nope, here you have some more banners and coffers, of which you've already gotten so many you can build a brick wall around your house. If it wasn't for the tickets I'd totally ignore this event completely. I do the quickest stuff I can think of then go kill some dragons in Elsweyr. At least those do give furnishing plans sometimes, and I can get motifs from the daily quests and goodies for my stickerbook.
