    At 855 cp.

I can for my life not get above 75k on my stamplar on pts, doing 110 on live.
Took all dmg i could find in the tree and tried various ways around it but i guess i have not found a good solution yet.

    Please share the secret :)

Anyhow, it sure seems like stamplars are worse than before with the new changes.
Sure its a braindead class to play but for me its easy since i am new and i rely on having fun in this game, i dont know about you all!

best ive done is about 70-72 on pts with a 810cp build
can't seems to pass that threshold

Absolute vertical ceiling for damage is 1410 CP. You will fill all the dps related passives along with maxed 4 slottables, but you'll have no point in mitigation passives. But that doesn matter for dummy parses.

So you have max CP parses from me and 810 parses from @Darktrox . Only 0 CP are missing, but I'll leave that sort of test to someone else

I dont have screenshots and I'm just an average player but I tested my magden with 810cp and 0 cp. Currently on live I hit 85k, on pts with 810cp I get 73k and with 0 cp I got 64k. So about 15% loss from current live and another 15% loss if 0 cp.
Used siroria, ms, zaan, vMA staff, shadow mundus.

Where have you put your 285 blue CP, and what active stars are you running? You can't max out your damage with only 855 total CP, so choosing the stats carefully is going to be even more important.

@Kurat have you tried thief on pts?
Hard to know without more info but on pts this may be better than shadow for you, as Magden already has extra crit damage and the reductions in all crit sources from gear and armour passives mean it’s more important to get more ie: on live you may have been above the break even for crit chance between thief and shadow, but now may be below it. Could be wrong, but may be worth a go to eek out a bit more. Probably won’t be much in it though.

Ya tried thief, gets 2-3k less. Shadow is still the way to go.

Shadow VS Thief winner depends entirely on your Blue CP slottables and sets.

There are plenty Thief vs Shadow calculators out there (I think even Alcast has one on his website) so check it out.

The new CP system specifically supports types of damage -> such as individual areas or damage over time how can it be that the percentage buffs are now worse than before ds makes no sense. You should be rewarded for committing to one type of damage. The equipable stars should be better no 10% or 15% (+ 15% critical damage if inflicted from the side) that is far too little because you will often not hit the side. Rewards the risk of missing maybe 30% and then at least 20-25% for area damage ...
The defensive is supported more by this system than aggressive PVP builds give us the opportunity to get some magicka and stamina via red dots as is already the case with life.

Flanking does include hitting from the back as well. Which you will be doing like 99% of times in trials, only sunspire Dragons are unflankable (or to be precise, they can be flanked but you'll get wing-killed very soon).

I've seen some near-90k PTS parse on discord, however I couldn't get to such number. I am not really experienced with magplar - I don't play it on live, only parse with it each PTS cycle to have estimated class comparisons.

Note: CMX doesn't account for crit damage CPs so my crit damage is 25% higher than CMX states.

Thanks for posting the parse. Switching to The Thief, maxing out Piercing CP's, and switching to all Light armor:

    parse.png

That's about a 10% DPS loss, which is pretty much what I'm seeing with all builds.

I'm used to not putting anything for extra penetration for magicka parsing on live as just the light armor passives meant over-penetrating. Not sure how all that is working with the dummy on the PTS.

Also, I wish they'd do something about LA weaving with Sweeps/Jabs. It just feels wonky as hell.

Don't use Ice Comet morph in PvE. Engulfing Flames, which is always present in a trial and dummy is affected by it, boosts dmg only of Shooting Star morph. Secondly, Shooting star morph is 12 ultimate cheaper than Ice Comet on single target.

And I am still torn between Shooting Star and Crescent Sweep. From my parses, both options seem the same, however sometimes when I pull higher than normal, it's during parses where I use Crescent Sweep.

I’ve seen 95k Magplar running dual wield acuity and siroria.
For me hitting 89k has been my best with the same set up and 87k with inferno.
I’d say Khajit has been the strongest as well and more consistent for me than Altmer and a bit ahead of Breton.

Using Shadow with Acuity or Thief with Medusa has been my best pairing for mundus.
CP wise using I’m running backstabber, aoe, dot, crit damage CP options. I’ve got just over 1400’CP as well.

For Ulti crescent sweep is about 6-7k dps plus it pushes burning light bit higher as well so on dummy I use that.

One question, why AoE CP instead of single target? Deadly Aim affects light attacks, Radiant Oppression, Burning Light, Purifying Light and even Zaan. I am pretty sure that single target damage is bigger % of our dps than AoE.

To be honest I’m still trying to figure out the best combo, the ones above is what I got with my best results but everything you say makes sense as well and think biting should come out better. Although for purify light it does only impact the first hit and not the explosion since it scales of magika and doesn’t I get the same hit regardless what CP i chose.

Taking off aoe drops sweeps by a 2-3K and orb drops by 1k or so as well. Solar barrage also does less and blockade does as well whilst I gain dps in others. All in all it seems to pretty make me hit around the same or within 1k however I’ve also probably not done enough tests for all the results to even out crit wise and taking into account rotation mistakes etc to know for certainty but both options seem to be very close
