Played a couple of hours more, now with all factions poplocked or close to. Little to no lag in large fights , no rubberbanding , my skills actually worked. It was great. (PC NA Grey Host , playing from south america)
That being said AoE cooldowns feel awful , they slow down the game so much. Templars are nearly unplayble. I hope they gather whatever info they can from these tests and find a solution that doesn't gimp the game this way.
To be honest i dont get the logic behind your statement.
In my opinion changing your build because of the aoe CDs is the only thing that can provide them with the data they need, since no one would continue to play his build like they used to when aoe CDs are in place.
So continuing to play a now not working build is not at all representative of how it would be if those changes actually stay because then ppl are gonna switch up their build so they get to be effective again.
No one is gonna stay with builds with a lot of aoe and it doesnt help with the testing if you stay with them now.
Hi folks,
Just wondering what your constructive thoughts are for this week of AOE 3 second cool down testing on PVP campaigns?
I main a magplar...let me say...it was literally unplayable with my current setup. You can stack skills to cast off (for example : Rune, Purify, Honor the dead - all with cool downs)....It just feels like heavy lag honestly...and we come back to square one.
Food for thought,
Freya

And many folks have stated that if these are the 'fixes' we're getting, then the game no longer holds value. I guess they plan on leaving the game. IMHO these changes suck massively and hopefully NONE of these become the actual end solution.
If ZOS wanted to simply remove PvP from the game there were probably easier/quicker ways of doing so than these extended tests.
Good luck everyone - cy'all in October.

Yes, but many switched over to single target setups instead of AoE ones in anticipation of the doubled AP, which inevitably skews the results.

1) There needs to be more single target skills/abilities if this is intended to go live. To many abilities are included in the AOE category to allow for any type of build variety. If single target is going to be the meta going forward then we need the majority of the skill options available to be single target.
2) Smart Healing needs to disappear, or allow the Player to set priorities for targets. Skills that rely on this were spamables, but are not anymore and if the targets the game chooses are the wrong ones...well there goes the group.
3) All AOE's need to have increased radii, duration, or power. If they can't be spammed then they need to be fewer but the power of them NEEDS to be felt.
