I like the game and I play a lot, already 100s of hours.
It's not perfect but then again: what game is .. ?

A Greymoor game key hardly costs anything (around EUR 19 for PC) so why wouldn' t I get one?

Stopped paying for this game after purchasing morrowind chapter. I like the lore behind elder scrolls games but they are kinda murdering it if you ask me. My main reason to buy morrowind was to play warden, and then they've placed it on money store.
Now I'm waiting for necro class on money store, to buy with in game gold. Still not sure to buy since that means someone will have to buy crowns for this and I'd be supporting them indirectly.
    Talk about being petty amirite

I am actually not planning on giving one more cent to ZOS. The direction this game has taken, ZOS policy who is more interested in filling Crown Store with cosmetic junk than fixing the game, the story with the VMA weapons to force you farm the "perfected" versions (no matter if you ve done the same content like 50 times), the broken PVP, the constant skill and set changes that break your builds and turn legendary items into junk and many more reasons are more than enough for me to not buy anything from them again. At least, till they fix the game issues.

    Enough is enough.

I think i can speak for alot of players that voted NO, we are ESO enthousiasts, and what others would consider bitterness, we call frustration.

ESO always had great potential, but the decisions made are worse every time. the unawareness, the silence of the team...those attitudes are shameful.

If you dare speak out on twitch, banned. If you speak out on forums, moderation just cuts off things. ESO has been dragging along all these years several problems that have not been resolved. This behaviour is unacceptable

And let's also mention how hard it is to motivate a guild to raid in current conditions, when you can't perform properly because there are so many issues of desync.

Its endemic to several video game companies, Zenimax included, to not set CORRECT priorities straight. How can you seriously buy a new DLC when the base game is left in shambles?

Sadly, our only way to make a point is hurting the pockets.

I am miles away from putting money on Greymoor.

    .

Honestly, the treatment from the moderators here is one of the main reasons I'm not jumping on this purchase right away. Feels like we can't criticize anything at all but are all constantly reminded about having a constructive dialogue - with everyone but ZOS. Hard to have a dialogue when it's one sided. It's gotta change.

Many people didn't change, you just see the backlash of bad performance.

    Some people did change.

In the early days of ESO I was an ardent defender of ZOS and extremely excited about everything that was coming over the horizon. I watched every ESO live. I came to the forums (primarily Crafting) to discuss new experiences, new ideas, and new systems. I avidly talked about all the fun that I was having in the game.

The ZOS started making changes: B2P, the Crown Store, Crown Crates, devaluing crafting, making systems grindier to encourage store purchases (e.g. motifs), moving mounts and other cosmetic items into the cash shop, crown store exclusives, lawyering their way into putting pre-order bonuses into the cash shop, divorcing outfit styles from motifs, not making everything in the game able to be earned in the game, introducing small-population attributes into the general population (vampires, werewolves, necromancers)... I could go on. I have in other threads.

The forums didn't just magically become a less positive place. At least for me, I became less positive here as a direct result of decisions made by ZOS. I continue to play because my enjoyment of certain aspects of the game is greater than my dislike of other aspects. Eventually that balance will probably shift, and I will stop playing. That hasn't happened yet.

In the mean time, I will continue to challenge ZOS when I think they are making a call that will lead to me enjoying the game less.

I'm not buying Greymoor yet because, quite frankly, I'm Norded out. They are my least favourite culture in ESO. And I say that as someone who played the heck out of Skyrim. Of course I was a Morrowind fan first, so Skyrim was always going to be a pale reflection of that. And then the climactic zones in my own alliance (pre-OT) were Nord. Gnah.

I might pick up Greymoor at some point, but because of its thematic content it'll be a while.

Spot on about their changes. It's more and more focused on monetization. I'd love to have coffee with some of the people making these changes and ask them if they think that makes the game more enjoyable. It's a shame what modern gaming has become.

I'm Norded out too! Nevermind that I'm way more of an Elf at heart, but it's so overdone. I'd be way happier to do this expansion during Halloween time, just because of its theme.

The poll seems to be showing pretty good numbers. However, it does leave out a solid answer that many will wait for Greymoor to go on sale. Those people are probably choosing the third reply for an answer.

Looks good for Zos' bank account.

No i am NOT buying it. Also, since i am once again closing in on 810... 803 ish) I may decide to delete my account and find something else to play OR if i do continue play it will be focusing on the guild and crafting tables and such as that and def NOT on greymoor, and most certainly not their minesweeper mini game.

    @thissocalledflower

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, you cannot delete your account unless there are laws where you live that require Zos to do so if you ask.

You can walk away from the game but it will still be here if you choose to return.,

Not buying it since I have lots of things to do in game - like re-farming vMA & vDSA. I can wait for a sale since they want us to wait even more for fixing their performance problems. Seems they keep saying they'll fix it but it's been getting worse lately. It's kinda sad I tried Fallout76 and that game ran better lol. I'll be raiding on FF14 while waiting for ESO devs to fix their game. If the past patches are any indication, they'll un nerf some nerfs and continue the roulette anyway so there's no point changing builds immediately for Greymoor.

Ok, I understand frustrations for many many issues, but I love this game anyway, I love the landscapes, the music, some stories (not all of them), the spirit (ES fan since the beginning), so I confess I will buy any further chapter, ES game, single player or multiplayer. I will not stop here, despite all issues ...

Unless there's severe performance upgrades so that skills actually fire when you hit the button and break free and dodge roll starts working then it's a no from me. I can't in all honesty defend spending money as something as thoroughly broken as this game when there's no real expectation of a fix any time soon if at all.

Buying it once it makes its way to the crown store. Saddly, there's nothing in prepurchase I like that much and would be willing to throw extra money at. Not really a fan of vampires or Nord themed stuff, but from what was shown of it, the antiquities and my OCD tendencies should get along splendidly.

I mistakenly bought the expansion and cannot receive a refund, however I found this on Reddit and I truly believe it applies here:

First, ask yourself this question. Do you enjoy and/or want to PvP in Elder Scrolls Online?

If you answered "No", to this question then this warning has no applicability to you, please feel free to buy and play the expansion, you will probably enjoy it quite a bit.

Now if you answered "Yes", to this question then please see the warning below.

PvP in Elder Scrolls Online has become terribly affected by huge latency/lag issues combined with recent changes that literally prevent players from queuing up to play PvP together. That's right, this is the first MMORPG i've run into that will not allow you to queue for a battlegrounds with a friend, guild member, or anyone for that matter, they completely removed the ability to queue with other players in any fashion for PvP. Next, the server that hosts their massive "open world" PvP environment called Cyrodiil has become literally unplayable for months now. The latency is so bad that players on average experience a 2-5 second delay after activating an ability during peak times, and no it has nothing to do with how many players are on your screen. When you do find a group of players to PvP with/against that delay increases from 2-5 seconds to anywhere of 5-10 seconds and occasionally doesn't even read your key input at all.

Me and the three friends I play with have already pre-ordered it. We're having a lot of fun running dungeons every day, trying to gear up, and working towards making as much gold as possible. We also are trying to basically do everything in the game together, every quest and achievement we can. It's been a blast and we're really looking forward to digging into Greymoor.

The game isn't perfect of course, the lag issues are real, the skills not firing is awful, and the glitch that makes my magicka skills sap my stamina has caused more than a couple of wipes seeing as I'm the healer of our group. These things really need to be fixed ASAP before they release anything else. It should be a top priority and I just can't wrap my head around why its not. Even if they are prioritizing making money, if even half the people claiming on the forums they quit or cancelled their sub or whatever actually did, it would be in ZOS' best interest to fix these issues to keep people subbed...

Also, I personally wish a lot of the cool stuff in the crown store was also available in game as rewards for achievements and stuff, things we can pursue and work towards, but that doesn't stop me from spending my ESO+ crowns.

That said, despite the flaws me and my friends are having a blast, and that just makes it worth the cost for me. For me at least, the pros outweigh the cons. But I've got a solid dungeon group of IRL friends who play and nerd out over the lore, and I'm even working on running an Elder Scrolls themed D&D game with them soon. If I didn't have that, the pros probably wouldn't outweigh the cons.

I haven’t purchased crowns since before Morrowind and I haven’t subscribed in a long time either.

I’m not sure if I can justify purchasing Greymoor. It’s a maybe atm. Most likely I’ll buy it to raid with my team, but I can’t support ZOS for anything other than chapter releases.

If you think only 54% of people on these forums voting "no" (majority leaving open the possibility of buying it) is a win for you you are sadly mistaken.

These forums are filled with 80-90% negativity yet you can only muster 50%.

You do realize you got a whopping 150 votes right? There are 100,000s playing this game that will never step foot in these toxic forums. So not sure what other mmorpgs you are playing but based on population vs other mmos yeah they are doing just fine.
