"Listened", to whom? Zerglings?I like the PvP heal nerf, its a "they lisened" thing.
@WrathOfInnos while I do agree with you to some extent, there are some problems.
1. It makes running vMA up till the patch useless. Me? I am super discouraged running from running it, and that's after the last 2 weeks I was doing it twice a week (because I was enjoying my warden that much, that I was running it on her and on my sorc).
2. By many eyes, if in zos's vision, normal should drop maelstrom weapons, and vet should drop perfected, why shouldn't all weapons that dropped in vet be perfected?
3. The lags and bugs make vMA especially pleasant (sarcasm) especially for those who barely finished it.
4. The rng issue. I mean. Yep. It means that people will feel "forced" as the silly beings we are, to run it again. And if rng is bad, and hell it is bad, and people will take at least 50 runs to get back the reward they feel like they already should have gotten, it is f***ed up. And the current state of the game is not really motivating to run it.
The only, only way that not upgrading current weapons to perfected is to fix the lag, and reduce the grind hard. Good grind reduction will be to let player chose the weapon he gets upon completion.

Can you be so very kind to tell us the reasoning behind this?
I imagine the issue is logistical...
They will upgrade them don't worry, or they will lose another half of the players, they saw the global reaction everyone had.

IF the vet version remains the same and reward better weapons then This had better be a fkn horrible joke man. I mean you change every other set we have in our bags or on our hands when you adjust sets. This is a real slap in the face of people who have ground that place hard for the items and now have them do it again. Im guessing that is the intent. To force people to do content they were hoping to never do again. For your viewing pleasure?
A better option would be to reward a similar functioning but slightly weaker weapon for normal.
Going to change the achievements too I assume? Why not.
Really hope this cops some serious backlash.

Im optimistically thinking the same. The concern i have is they’re now prone to these announcements which trigger the forums before changing their minds.
They either know the community will react like this and know they will back down to show they listen, or more scarily they are so out of touch that they think this is a good idea players will just accept.

I am hoping this is the case, that Wheeler is just trolling the community knowing that they will back down so that people have a rebound positive reaction to distract them from some other horrible thing they have planned that everyone will hate since hey, at least we get the gear we worked hard to farm upgraded to the level its intended to be.
However, they still nerfed the crap out of Iceheart despite the outcry, just less than planned - that was more of a balance thing so I hope this is a different situation. Either way, this is just plain sadistic. Earning gear in this game has become completely meaningless. If this happens I think I'm done. I already unsubbed and did not buy Greymoor due to the persistent and unaddressed technical issues. I will buy back in if they fix them, but if I have to refarm those arenas again to fill out 12 toons, some of which still don't have those weapons in the first place, forget it. My trust in the game and its developers will be dead, as nothing I have achieved or earned in it is secure.

Ok, let me do the math really quick...
For simplicity lets also only focus on one type of weapon here...
Across all my Mag chars i own about 20 vMA inferno staffs all transmuted to BiS traits with various enchants for differents situations like Berserk for most content, Prismatic for MoL etc., magicka absorb, fire damage and shock damage. I farmed all of them so i don't have to constantly have to shift gear from char to char or reenchant constantly. And it took me years to build this collection.
So lets be optimistic and say the drop rate for an vMA inferno is about 1/10 since im not 100% sure how the dual wield/ sword and board drops work. So that would bring me to an expected amount of 20*10=200 runs to regain all that EQ and have it BiS again. And lets also say I can keep a decent speed which including loading screens and reset time would be around 35 min. That gives me a 200*35 min/60 min = 116 h 40 min as an expected time to farm it.
Also 8/9 will be not BiS traits and will take me 50 transmute crystals to get them to the right trait: 20*(8/9)*50= 889 transmute crystals.
Additionally doing these runs does not only come at cost of time but also requires resourses to complete:Adding all that up brings me to 2.000.000+162.000+400.000= 2.562.000 gold
- Potions + food + repairs: i would estimate the cost per run at about 10k-15k gold at current PC EU prices (10k for calculation): 200*10.000=2.000.000g
- Enchants for weapons: 2.5k for most enchants and 25k for a prismatic: 15*2.500+5*25.000= 162.500g
- Upgrade costs to gold: 1 resin = 2.500 gold; 20*8*2.500= 400.000g
That brings me the summary: Replacing my 20 vMA infernos to new BiS would cost me: 116h and 40min of my lifetime, 889 transmute crystals that need to be framed ( ok some of them will drop while farming, but still u need space to store them, since its not geodes), and a cost of around 2.5M gold .
I have framed all the vMA stuff i own, and i own much more then just the vMA infernos, at the same or even higher requirements as will be required in the future for teh perfected, since, lets face it, power creep is a thing...
I am fine with the introduction of perfected weapons, but WE deserve a free upgrade for the stuff we farmed at the same requirements! I have been playing this game ever since beta and have been subscribed for most of this time, but I am not sure, if i would stick around after this crap. This would just a big slap in the face to all your players, especially the most dedicated once!!!
Does PvP dictate again to how PvE should be? Because it has no sense to get penetration from this set while your CP and tank/healer skills already do that. You always can get penetration, but health?ZOS_BrianWheeler wrote: »Valkyn Skoria, for example, now gives Spell Penetration rather than Max Health as this is a damage-based set.

I don't see what is very impressive about it.
I mean there is enchantments that can do like 4500 oblivion damage. I understand it might be very important for something.
I just don't see the point in obsessing to have these weapons. They are like a luxury sure people want to get them but they don't need them and can do without them.
