I flipped it like @Raisin suggested but idk if I am even close to a translation. I am not even close to an expert but here is what I got: "RED THEM FROM BOUGHS BOTH GNARLED AND BLACK"
I didn't do the very bottom yet.
I'm not sure about Red, but the rest of the sentence I believe is spot on. Great eyes on you.
Edit: What if 3rd and 4th leater are squashed together and the first word is "Reap"?
Yeah red didn't make sense to me either. Reap kind of fits. I am trying to do the last part but it makes no sense what I have so far.
"MA THE REAP A GREAT HARVEST"
First two words make no sense
On the REd part I put an L so mine reads Led them both...

Yakhem (Y) is often dropped in written daedric scrolls and inscriptions. With Yakhem added back in, the line reads MAY THEY REAP A GREAT HARVEST.

There you go then, that lore bit was our missing piece.

EDIT- Well that was fun. Good job all.

That's about all I could uncover.

So this may be a jump, but what’s everyone thinking who knows the lore?
Reaper class? Lich skill line? Reach area or maybe an undead dungeon/trial?

For what it's worth I agree that it's GRE, and the fourth letter looks very much like an Ayem, A. I don't see a T anywhere though, and Tayem is certainly not a frequently dropped letter. I'm not sure what to make of that! I note your edit, did somebody crack it fully somewhere? I wish we had clearer pictures.
Reach magic it is. Suck it vampire fanboys,
Kinda interested now, because if I'm not mistaken, Reach magic is ancient, pre-dating most other forms of magic on Tamriel.
Serana in an urn!? When was she cremated? That urn 100% looks looks like the urn Serena was locked in in Skyrim.
You can say that’s not lore friendly all you want, but, we literally had dragons this year.
