Yeah, they added one at the beginning of the year to give a reason to do stuff for feathers for the Indrik mount. But that wasn't supposed to be in lieu of the "real" Midyear Mayhem event in the summer. It was supposed to be in addition to.

Good let them fix the game. Stop complaining about them trying to make things right. If they launch the vent and it doesnt work, how much more annoyed will you be. People were posting that they'd rather pay for a dlc that fixes the broken things than another dlc that overtaxes the system so let them do their work without being a creep to them about it.

What makes you think they'll fix anything? Until they actually do something I'm taking with a grain of salt. Cyrodiil has been trash for years performance wise. At least the PvPers would get double AP for the garbage they experience on a daily basis.

They only have one event. This is an insult to them. Especially rehashing the DB/TG from March of this year.

At least this makes it appear that they are taking the performance issues seriously, as they knew they’d get a ton of flak for cancelling.

I thought they even said when it came earlier that it was midyear mayhem itself, just put at a different time of year.

We just had an intro of a new leader taking the reigns at the top of the forum. Let them do their job and let's see if they can make some repair to this system.

I understand why they cancelled it.

I'm still disappointed.

ZOS has known about the Groupfinder problems for 2 years now. They've known the BG queue problem has been getting worse for more than 6 months.

This was preventable, if ZOS had started working on fixing the problems earlier.

So while I'm eternally hopeful that ZOS will actually fix the issues...

I'm disappointed that ZOS' answer is again to take away game functionality from players until an indeterminate time when it gets fixed.

Wanting Midyear Mayhem with this horrible and even worse performance? Haha! They don’t dare to do one and they know exactly why. They can’t fix the mess we have now imagine the mess during Midyear Mayhem.

I think cancelling the event is at least some acknowledgement that game servers are not handling pvp very well at this moment in time. I hope Zos also acknowledges that the game is running really badly in pve as well, was in Malatar last night on PS4 Eu and every boss seemed bugged in some way. The constant condensing of the server and recycling of what seems to be bad code isn’t working too well, such a shame as Elsweyr is pretty good. Pls spend less on marketing, and more on fixing issues. The community will reward you for it Zos. 🤔

Yeah, turning the event on and then turning it off again 2 weeks later sure uses a lot of resources. It's a full-time job for at least 10 people.

It's a stretch to call increasing AP, and EXP, and turning on achievements content. Turning on a precoded event doesn't take any resources for ZOS, and even if it did they aren't not doing an event. They are just changing which one they do. This event would cost the exact same resources as Midyear.

Hmm. I skipped the last one because I figured there would be a Midyear one and I am really not into PvP. I only bother with the PvP events if I can go in with a guild and get a bunch of AP. Any disappointment I feel is quickly replaced with a sigh of relief. I'd much rather run heists and sacraments anyway.
