Nice that you mention that about repeating stuff.. do you happen to know anyone who goes from topic to topic saying the same "this is fine" type of comments that only gather the good old sarcastic Insightfuls?
Nope, sure cant. But i can see a lot of post where people are engaged in mind reading.
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/basics/mind-reading
Ooh, thanks for that link, now i know what you mean, you mean the people who do the mind reading on others who wrote their opinions on a game forum and then tell them they are "over the top" or things like that because as a mind reader they also are the ultimate judges on what are the appropriate reactions people are allowed to have?
One can learn new things everyday.
When someone post publicly about how f'ing triggered they are right now in all caps with exclamation points, that's not mind reading to call it over the top.
As stated before in another posts, triggers are specific to ptsd. They are not just anything that annoys you when you you face a disappointment that you chose to use as an excuse to have an online temper tantrum.
Again, you are repeating the same thing.. now what did you earlier say.. something about doing something over and over again is a definition of something.. hmmm.
Did you even for a moment thought about why i mentioned the whole emotional intelligence? As said, let people vent, even in caps as long as it is all inside the forum rules. It is far better to have 1 topic even on full caps, than 100 non-caps topics on the same issue. People who like to vent about things can come here for a good "group therapy" and those whom the issue does not concern do not have to read 100 topics like it messing up the whole forum.
I dont know but.. this is like you having a temper tantrum over someone you feel is having a temper tantrum and you feel they should be quiet about their feelings, thus not being allowed to say their opinions, thus.. not using a forum for what it is up here for us all. You really saying that?
If you manage to look at your behaviour for a moment from the outside, you are acting like a bully. Someone is sad for something that is important to them and said it out loud, you then come and are like "come on little crybaby what ya gonna do, gonna cry on me little ptsd child?" type of talk and wanting attention to you because too hard to just leave someone to vent without having to comment them with trigger attempts?
Seriously omegalul.
And then linking up some psychology stuff. I know people like you. I sure do wish there comes more links.

Um, @ryzen_gamer_gal ? You do realize that for THIS event, we were supposed to be getting new PVP-inspired motifs? And that there were other new Alliance War-themed collectables datamined? The “Midyear Mayhem” event from January was not the traditional MM event; it was the result of ZOS scratching their heads to come up with another event to add to that particular Indrik cycle. That Indrik cycle occured at a time when there traditionally were not a lot of events to draw from, and they needed SOMETHING so people could get their precious ~*feathers*~
Many of us were planning on using this year’s MM to rank up our necromancers. The addition of new collectables was also something to look forward to. I even used some of my annual leave and booked myself off from work for part of MM in anticipation of the event so that I could ensure I was logged in before the campaign queues were stupid. Understand that this is our ONLY event, and that we were looking forward to it. That random MM event at the beginning of the year was NEVER meant to replace the real thing.

Seriously, what is your deal? Are you THAT lacking in empathy that you can’t understand why PVPers are disappointed that the ONE fun event we get in this game has been cancelled and put off until next year?

*lol* where was your empathy when hundrets of players were kicked out of Cyro by faction lock?
I must admit that I am pretty amused to see this mess now. While I adapted meanwhile and enjoy playing elsweyr, people like you suffer from interrupting the stabilization efforts requesting "features" like faction lock. Now deal with the result, have no empathy...

I have no sympathy for those either, and I understand that a solution had to be found.
But many, many people were *very* vocal when people without bad intentions, not trolling, not spying, asked for a better solution than a simple faction lock, that kicked out "innocent" players.
I rarely have seen so much resentment and insulting comments before.
So no, I have no empathy for a PVP community that acts that way. They asked for a brute force approach, they got it, and now their system is messed. Well done...

There is no backup plan for missing an expected event that grants double AP.
Except playing Cyrodiil twice as long. Well, make that longer, because generally its easy to make AP in Cyrodiil when there are tons of player around and constant fights happening, even on the new campaigns.
And while ZOS could release those cosmetic rewards for something else, the fact will remain that we should have been able to earn them doing what we loved - playing Cyrodiil, IC, or Battlegrounds, this Midyear Mayhem.
There really isn't any substitute for Midyear Mayhem.
Honest question here now that I've given a straight answer to the original question, because I can't tell what your intentions are here. I'm pretty tone-deaf on the Internet and so I appreciate the clarification. When you said the quote above, did you mean to sound that dismissive or am I being tone-deaf again? Is there something you don't understand about how important Midyear Mayhem is to many PVPers? Or are you taking this tack because Midyear Mayhem isn't that important to you?

You cant play the victim here when you intentionally picked a fight and now no one sees it your way.

all pvp players, since cyro doesn't work, and we have stopped supporting financially, and its unlikely it will ever work right, I suggest we flood the zones each holiday event and hold massive duels near the quest givers. The last protest I can think of that impacts their main money machine; the PVE carebears.
Here are the only rules:
- bring your build. If you wanna run oblivions foe and lvl 40 gear, run effin oblivion's foe and 40 gear. Got 3 proc sets? Great! Wear em. CHeese it, honor it, whatever just fight next to the quest givers that give the holiday rewards for their mounts.
- if you are a sorc, please slot maw 2pc, your 2 pets and cast ALOT of aoes. That is the only sorc requirement lol. Wardens, slot your dumb bears.
- everyone else, bring buddies! Since PVE zones are the only place without performance lag, I guess we gotta go to where it works lol.
Disclaimer, sorry pve, but not sorry. And not sorry zos, fix your ***.
markulrich1966 wrote: »TequilaFire wrote: »Faction locks had nothing to do with performance problems.
How do you know? Did you code it?
Since faction lock was enabled, people complain about increased issues.
Never change a running system, unless you really have to and can test it in detail to avoid problems.
Cyrodiil has been a mess performancewise before, an indicator that the codebase has become so complex, that there is no quick fix. This is why ZOS announced they will focus on Update 24, hence in 4-6 months until it might get fixed.
Messing around with such complex code can have several unforseen consequences, so the quick hack that was added by pressure of the lock-fans obviously HAD some negative impact.
People are acting like ZoS wont add an alternate to Mid-Year that will be even better than it was supposed to be, and probably last longer too as an apology.
They do usually try to do this for us. They do care about what you think, but like parents telling their child no, the children still scream unaware that the parent is saying no for a reason.
