- Remember the load times aren't tied directly to your account/items, it's the total number. So if you have 5 items but someone that's still trying to log in has 40,000, you'll still need to wait a bit.

It could be.

It might me because almost no one had migrated yet so any shared tables are pretty empty. Inserting records into empty tables is always super fast.
But my account was a worst case scenario. Bank was at 480. All 8 chests in housing are full. 15 characters all 75% or higher.
My takeaway is start now if you can.

- Craft Bag and Guild Trader contents are not included - we're doing this part during downtime.
- This has nothing to do with collecting data.

- The load time may actually be minimal, but there's a chance they could be long. Hence this heads up

SO..all items of every account have to accounted for before anyone loads into game....popcorn and a movie time

This could take place server-side, well before the update. It could be prioritized by recency of login, and would not have to affect clients at all.
Just amazing, once again, and not in a good way.
Soooo...people are actually spending multiple hours to clean up their inventory to avoid a possible 2 hour load in...????
