Oceanic Lag now 300-400 ms even with a vpn - was 250-300??

Ping now at 400+ day/night NZ time.

I would like to apologise to the 3 guildies that got me through the laser beam boss on vFV. It only took us 3 hours to get that boss done, mainly by me having to guess where they would be 2 seconds before the rest of the group called it. Unplayable is a minor understatement.

3 Days ago I was standing in craglorn and my ping spiked up to 430 at around 11pm, since then my ping has not gone down. When I use a VPN my ping drops down to 190 - 240 and floats between there.

What happened that *** up the servers? I've been asking around and this is currently a common thing among OCE players right now. Something is for sure wrong with the routing if we're all seeing the same results and our ping is dropping that much with a vpn

Consistent 460-480 in Cyrodiil on Friday from west coast Australia, during the evening (morning in North America).
Some of the players in our group were from Japan, and they were experiencing very bad lag, 999+ spikes and disconnections.
I could see them moving ahead of me, and they looked like they were teleporting 10m, and then frozen, then teleporting.
It's been getting steadily worse. Glad I unsubscribed a month ago.

It's been said before by many, but I'll say it again - a simple acknowledgement of the wide range of performance problems from the company and a "we're working on fixes" would do wonders for their reputation and player retention...and their income. Seems like the customer service policy the past couple of years is total silence. That says something in itself doesn't it.

Exit Lag just had a major update. My ping now dips to 185 even (playing NA from Sweden). This from the "norm" 220-250-ish. They have a free month trial, give it a try.

I use Automatic routing, 2 TCP routes and 2 UDP routes with highest accuracy route optimization, real time and smart optimization. The bucket usually stops at one of the Ashburn servers.

If someone uses Exit Lag and has better optimized settings (I do use the FPS optimization settings too), I'd appreciate a PM with the settings, but so far I'm very satisfied.

Yeah I just had 3 weeks of sitting at 300-500 ping seems back to normal now at 230-270 but it was horrible, and I also was getting kicked from the game right before the bosses died in every trial so i would miss out on the loot every time. Very frustrating.

western australia here and the ping has been 400+ the last 3-4 days, in pve. in dungeons it lags so bad the ping spikes over 1k the highest I got was 8900! the internet speed is fine at 45mbps/DL, was an undersea cable got cut by a storm or something again like 2 years ago? this is SO bad!

Same here. I'm in WA and ive been at 400-500 for the last few days. All my WA friends have the exact same ping.

Not sure what happened as the last couple of weeks had been fairly good at 290-330.

I have been using wtfast recently its been working out pretty good, NBN in nsw I get around 230-300 in pve land and about 250+ in pvp land.

It is pretty annoying having to use a third party program to get "playable" pings for this game all we *** ping players can say is EMBRACE the lag. Cause no solution will be coming soon.

It's not just an Oceanic issue. The past week for a few people in my raid team, myself included, has been absolutely unreal with lag, ping spikes, and ultimately disconnects. The other night we spent two full hours of raid time needing to reset the trial because of disconnects.

I have never, ever had any problems with random ping spikes and disconnects up until this week. It's incredibly frustrating.

I use the basic exit lag settings, I get sometimes 265, usually just under 300, from 460 native ping pc NA from rural West Australia. However the ping may read lower but often the game does not play any better than without a vpn.

Exit lag is by far the most stable vpn I have tried better than mudfish by a long way for me.

Sign me up to the lag train. Last time i was online was a few days a go which was fine.
Normally i am 250 ms to 270 ms.
I am now sitting between 400 ms and 420 ms.

I assume you guys are on PC’s,let me assure you it’s the same situation on Xbox,in fact it’s probably worse.
I’m on the Gold Coast in Queensland and when I first started played ESO about a year and a half ago I assumed there would be some difficulties using a Mega Server in the US.I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the game ran,in fact the only slow down I experienced was in Cyrodiil with another 50 or 60 toons running around.
Fast forward to the Elsweyr update and everything has turned to mud-
-Dungeons are an unplayable mash of invisible ads, disappearing bosses, stuttering frame rates and 3-5 second sound effect delays
-DLC Dungeons are a no go zone after one attempt at Scalecaller that had me apologise to the other players and asked to be kicked
-I was starting to get into trials and PVP,but if the playability of the Dungeons are anything to go by....errr no thanx
-I keep hoping that after each time the server is down for maintenance I will log back in and normal service has been resumed...when in fact it seems to be getting progressively worse...
-Even a farming run around Bangkorai has succumbed to the same graphic and audio shambles that hampers any enjoyment in groups..
-I’m now at the stage where the only enjoyment I can extract from this mess is to buy another house and spend a few hours crafting and kitting it out..or doing my daily crafting writs..but even the animation of the chests closing after you deposit your writs hurts my eyes.
I’ve tried all the recommended solutions, but I’m convinced that the Elsweyr update is the major culprit.
As I stated before, everything was fine beforehand, but I started noticing that things would start going wonky when the necromancers would appear, and it’s been all downhill from there..
Maybe Zos got their sums wrong with Elsweyr,or the Server can’t handle the load,i have no idea, but after hearing that it’s gunna take 3 updates over the next 6 months to fix something that wasn’t broken in the first place, well (expletive deleted)
    Cheers

Posted this in another thread, but posting again to add to the already crazy amount of evidence.

This is what we had to endure last night australian time. Supposedly the off peak time for NA, so you would expect a better connection. But we got zos'd. Hard.

    https://xboxclips.com/GronoXVX/20c22f89-13d6-439b-b082-fee24135c3a2/embed

Just as my group (mixed group of australians and NA players) got the red scroll and left the keep, we all get kicked to the log in screen. Better yet when we logged back in we were back at the beginning. If you look at the zone chat you can also see that quite a few people on DC also had to re-log back in so it seems like it was a mass kicking. If this doesnt show how horrible the performance is zos, then you really do not care about your player base.

Did another trace today I am being routed from Victoria Australia via Germany / Netherlands this time! Then East Coast US.

Averaging 500 ms plus ping for last 2 weeks. With mudfish it's 360 but I have been getting disconnects in Cyrodil if i use it.

It was 220ms in Cyrodil in 2016 with no VPN

Still think it's akamai dragging us the wrong way around the planet.
