Oceanic Lag now 300-400 ms even with a vpn - was 250-300??

Is there even any reason why ZOS can't just ditch Akamai and switch to something else like AWS for example? I don't know about other peoples experience but for example I get like 40-50 less ms playing Guild Wars 2(AWS) which has a similar ''megaserver'' system like ESO.

Fallout 76(AWS) also gives me similar numbers to GW2 and while ZOS and Bethesda are different entities, they both are subsidiaries of Zenimax. Anyone that plays other Zenimax multiplayer games knows if they also use Akamai for them or if they use something else?

I get around 300 less ms in gw2
Eso sits aroung the 550 and gw2 is around 180 ms.

Since the patch update a couple of weeks ago, I've notice my fps dropping significantly and have been consistently above 350ms. The load screens have become longer than usual and I've been DC'd so many times now its getting annoying. I swear, every update causes my game to become more and more unplayable.

This is most definitely an Oceanic issue. Of course we already knew this, but this is the best test you could ask for ZOS. It's the same PC, the same hardware, software, everything. I literally moved my PC across the world and had this result.

Not a long terms solution but if you’re not using “ipconfig /flushdns” command semi regularly I would start. It helps shake out some of the cobwebs. My ping was staying in the high 300s more recently, did this and it dropped to under 300 again aside from packed Vivec but that’s normal.

Sucks cos this is my favorite game, but I cant do most trials, even Craglorn ones due to the choppy lag issues. Holy heck is Halls of Fabrication the worst though, wont even attempt the later ones

Zos dont need your money, they dont use it. Give it to company's that do look after EVERY community playing their game, instead of a select few.
