Oceanic Lag now 300-400 ms even with a vpn - was 250-300??

nope its been worse since update 21 , Im in NZ and normally sit at 215 -260 now over 300 ping almost constantly.

Had lots of "failed to connect to server" type errors when logging in and switching characters over the last week. I have also noticed getting stuck in the heavy attack animation on lightning staves is happening way more often. Latency has been around 320+Ms.

And tonight just getting Login failed and "could not retrieve announcements". Seems like I am not the only one too. Everything else seems to be working fine.

So glancing at the front page today and ZoS can respond to a thread about throwing a Pie at DC king on the day it was made with some kind of bug, and event ticket pricing, but can't even bother to give us a response here after 16 pages and months of comments, threads and multiple @ pings.

Just sad that eso is one of the only mmo's where lag and performance issue dominate its forums first few pages.

It really is sad because it’s the best MMO on the market by a long way, hampered primarily by performance issues. I assume they are quite difficult to solve due to the technologies they’re using.

No, they're just difficult to solve because ZOS don't give a rat's about us. The problem is our traffic being routed through Akamai Hong Kong and ZOS know it.

ZOS is it ok that even basic skills dont work? Apparently it is for Oceanic people

its ok that potions dont go off despite hitting potion key 3 -5 times in a row
its ok that your skills are not available for 2-3 seconds after dodge roll
its ok that an ultimate will not go off or you hear the sound of the ult and see its animation but the skill doesnt go off
its ok that you can be standing next to a player yet not hit them
its ok that you have to break free from certain cc three times in a row
its ok that fear takes 2-3 seconds to be able to break
its ok that ....whats the point

ZOS you are happy to take out money for this service "as is" and so we are the suckers for actually playing your game. It would b e great that we could at least get recognition of this rather than the complete lack of communication that you are famous for.

I bet if we verbally abused you for you lack lustre performance you would shut this thread down instantly.

Is pretty sad, and you can tell when you log in, for example the ps4 NA the oceanic/sea times is a complete ghost town, with little groups here and there. No wonder people in this timezone have left to other games where they can actually play with decent performance.

Eso is pretty much a glorified, poorly optimised, out of date single player game.

I am really enjoying this game however it requires Mudfish to make it playable/enjoyable for me. I notice within seconds of entering combat when I have not turned Mudfish on. I have chosen to not pre-purchase Elswyer. I will wait & see if there is a further deterioration in performance once it is released which many have commented has happened with past DLC/Chapter releases. If so, I anticipate Mudfish will no longer be able to keep the game enjoyable. I chose not to gamble/prepay for a product that may be a lemon.

Averaging 360ms now. Still being routed all over the planet. When i started in 2016 it was 220ms.

Can't do vet trials with new trials guild because they don't know me well enough to forgive lag mistakes.
Cannot finish my hardmode achievements.
Cannot PvP effectively in Cyrodil.

I am just skyshard collecting on my new dps sorc, doing the normals that don't bore me to death to help guildies, and mucking around in BG's.

The content I bought/subscribed to play is getting less and less viable. If i weren't using the game for a good deal of my social life due to personal and financial reasons I would have un-subbed. It'd be cool if I could get a discount for all the content that I can't play anymore.

I have played on and off since launch. I remember having ok ping (around 120-250) around then, the biggest problem with the game was the bugs which is expected in any game. That was back when I had adsl2+. I now have nbn +100gb/s and I get from 300-350 normally. I feel it is more the servers and our distance from them in Aus, rather than internet. Maybe ZOS had a few Oceanic servers for us Aussies and Kiwis, but they might have gotten rid of them and went back to dedicated servers on the US east coast?

Either way though, this is still a great game, and while I hope they would fix this, I know I will still be playing regardless

Went into Cyrodiil for the first time in months at midnight. DC’d when there was half a dozen players on my screen in a small fight. Stop ignoring us ZOS. This is pathetic. Downright criminal the way your treating us.
