You can probably get around it by using special characters, as I did in this case....
I made this post as a warning: as of now, it is not allowed to name your characters after ESO lore characters. I logged in this morning to find this:
I asked the devs through our discord, and apparently I was not allowed to call my character sheogorath. Next time I log in I have to rename him. I've had the character for at least half a year, I made it because I wanted to make him like uncle sheo and now I was told that it's not allowed.
I want to prevent that others experience this too, so be aware!
your character has numbers in its name. Don't change it because now it is unique and numbers are not allowed normally in character names.

prety much all of us on this forum would be forced a rename as well if they keep going and expand with this rule.
helm of Oreyn Bearclaw is an ingame thing and character name

I dont believe you ever actually meet Oreyn Bearclaw in any of the TES games. You definitely find his helm a few times, and you meet one of his descendants, Modryn Oreyn in Oblivion, but they are not even the same race (bearclaw was a Bosmer, Modryn was a dunmer). The lore is def a little fuzzy. We also meet Orryn the Black in ESO, but its a different spelling, he is a nord, and I dont see that there is any indication they are related. It's a pretty obscure reference, would be a shame to have to change after 4 F'ing years.

yes you do, i think, if i am remembering right u are sent to kill him and u get that helm as a reward.
(in morrowind) its not a good thing tho, because immediately after u kill him your name in the Negative is Spread abroad far and wide many people hate you for killing him because he was well loved in all of Vvardenfell.
it was quite the evil quest from an evil God character.
yes i was right, after a search i found the quest here ...
