As the title says, is 20% off crowns enough of a discount to justify buying crowns on sale vs. when they are not on sale?
In my opinion crowns are grossly overpriced, and it's hard to justify buying them at 50% off.

Personally, I don't see the 20% off as a problem. But it's also not enough of one to spur me to buy Crowns, especially since my 6 month ESO+ sub just renewed and I still have leftover Crowns from the last sale.10 -

That's where I'm at. I think it's overpriced for crowns, grossly, but I do want stuff from crown store occasionally, so I will buy them during a 50% off sale. I will not buy them at only 20% off. For crowns, 20% off doesn't seem like a sale.31 -

Also notice that ZOS advertise this sale in a different way. When you navigate to the site where you can buy crowns, you can't see the old price and the size of sale. I believe that in the past you could see the old price and that 50% tag.12 -

Edit: Sorry, don't mean this to come across combative, it's simply irrelevant that they don't "have" to offer something. They don't "have" to have a crown store in the first place. This is business and we are providing feedback. Think you're missing the point to that response by a country mile. Like every single other profit making business in the world over, ZoS aren't doing us [the consumer] any favours, we the consumers are doing ZoS the favour every single time we buy something. It isn't rocket science.

I'm not delighted with it, of course, I'd rather they did 50% off, but it's been clear that they are getting more and more expensive so I was not broadsided with surprise at it like some seem to be. I fully expect this to go down to 15% or even 10% as time goes by. It is pretty obvious that Scrooge McDuck bought the company.3 -
