Yeah, it's just you. You might want to have a look at your audio settings.

Sometimes I don't hear any npcs speaking either, and it's not just here for this chapter. When I did Orsinium, a few npcs weren't speaking but the subtitles were appearing. So it's not just you.

So you sometimes have similar technical issues as the other guy. I guess he's happy to hear that. OTOH I always hear the NPCs speak if the sound file exists... I must be just lucky

Or maybe it's just a bug that some people experience and not everyone.

Yeah? How widespread is this bug? Are you also not hearing ANY voiced NPC dialogue?
When things don't work right it's always a bug. Sometimes a bug with the game if a lot of people experience the same thing and sometimes - wait for it - it's just you and your machine.

You're getting awfully defensive about something that may or may not be a bug.
Disappointed to see that we have hit the last patch and the Monastery is still subject to the faux-Justice concept. The Queen's Decree
All of the dialogue and background surrounding this quest makes it seem like the Monastery is closed down and off-limits. One of the monks even says the others will raise the alarm if they see you. However, the monastery itself is open without any restrictions, and while the monks and guards will complain if they see you, nothing comes of it. Either the monastery should be made a Restricted Area (Trespassing), or the references to it being off-limits should be removed.

If this is intended, please reconsider. Its breaking immersion as its disturbing that you have to keep an eye on your current quest (and need to reset this quest manually everytime you happen to stumble over something else interesting). Adding to it, it clutters your journal as you zoom all over the place picking up quests without finishing any quest.
does anyone know if nocturnal still looks like a budget cosplayer?

I think they discussed this "being a new feature" I can't remember where. But I don't understand how they can see it as a great new feature, there's an entire thread discussing how frustrating it is, and that most players hate it.
Weird how the daedric prince able to banish two other princes still looks like a budget cosplayer

Even Clavicus Vile looks better and all he's got is golden skin, horns, and the fancy 1k crown imperial tunic.

clavicus vile is essentially a fancy bosmer, but he looks far more elegant than the ur daedra, LOL

So do I. I'm on track of some intriguing task, but half way in I realised that I was running in wrong direction, because some NPC switched it to his one. I have to change it back after talk with every quest-giver. It's not that good at all.does anyone know if nocturnal still looks like a budget cosplayer?
She looks exactly like in Daggerfall, Oblivion and Skyrim.clavicus vile is essentially a fancy bosmer, but he looks far more elegant than the ur daedra, LOL
He's more of fancy Skaafin
She looks far better in skyrim, if she looked exactly like in skyrim there would be no complaints. Her dress in eso looks like it's made of a cheap fake fabric and in skyrim the coloring is a lot more elegant.

Oh, you had this in mind. In this case I must agree, you're totally right. Nocturnal looks just bland. Random NPC you've already forgot have better appearance than Ur-Dra herself. I don't know, maybe that giant featureless potato-shaped head floating over Crystal-Like-Law was homage to Oblivion? But jokes aside, they could give more efford in modeling her and her clothes.

Adding long hair to appear through the hood would help and crows laying on her shoulders and a appearance that set her apart from any common redguard or breton would be fine. In skyrim she was a very pale breton which blended well with the robes, and npcs didn't get that pale. If they want to go the redguard route they should make her skin color very dark as it would fit the theme of the night
