That is a very huge amount of bullstuff to read. I find none of it reasonable and you sound like one entitled little ... birch?

1. This is an MMO. The more players get to join, the better for everyone else. It brings life into the game. Content becomes free of charge = more players around.
2. I pre-ordered Morrowind when it was most expensive, and I did it because I wanted to support this game and play the content sooner. Anything becomes cheaper as it ages, including online content, because everyone who really wanted to play it sooner, played it. That's what you're paying for. I payed 600 € for a Radeon 3870 X2 in 2008 or so. Now you can get it for 1 € on eBay.
3. Be happy for other players to get Morrowind for free/cheaper! Generally, be happy for others that have it easier or better than you. This is also what vastly differentiates successful people from unsuccessful people. Not being happy for other people hinders people's success. Same as being selfish or an opportunist. People feel that and you miss out on valuable connections.

I brought Morrowind Last December on sale on PSN for like 23 USA $. After a week I realized I need original game also to play, checked on PSN, They only showed me gold editions type option for about 50-55 $, So I brought a Second hand original game disc locally for like 10 $. I took ESO plus a month later when to my great anger new life festival was over (and 20% permanent XP boost too), I was too damn angry. It's a childhood habit, If others had fun without me, It use to make me so much angry.

Anyways I also ordered summerset. I understand some veteran players feel annoyed when stuff they brought for higher price, later on goes low or free. It's problem with consumer industry, Anything you buy would lose it's value over time (except for investments). If ZOS gives you some in game compensation I won't object. But please consider giving me 'New life festival' for a week or 10 days so I can get permanent 20% experience bonus.

You guys have no idea, I am getting nightmares over this. Reaching quest location mere 1 day late, Standing in empty tent for 10 minutes with quest marker hoping it's my internet speed problem, then circumference area hoping there is some tunnel leading to quest marker. I wake up in middle of night sweating heavily, this cake thing is all nice But it's temporary. That 20% permanent boost is my heart's inner most desire in ESO. I hope I don't get mad over this.

No one asked you to spend that much amount on Morrowind. Also this is just how most MMOs deal with expansions. When the new one is out the old one is added to the base game.

I can understand the reason to split what the Morrowind package was to different products you can buy individually.

It keeps any new players coming to the game to start a easier route to get access to all these functions of the game. The game needs fresh people to live, and as a product it would make sense.

There does however need to be a more balance for existing players. The actions of this have resulted in peoples negative reactions.But hey this is business, do you get angry that a TV you bought a year ago is now on sale super cheep?

With the pattern of the chapter change it does beg to question.......do I not buy 2019's chapter now and buy it in 2020 when I can buy it with crowns from my ESO+?? (already pre-ordered Summerset). Also the pricing of things in general (aka motifs and housing in the crown store) are unstable and In my personal view missing the mark/stepping on peoples toes.

Hopefully moving forward there is a little bit more thought put in for existing players.I bloody love this game and kudo's to the people who work on it and help the game grow and make it better, thank you for your time, sacrifice and effort. I often hear however from the team tho that the game would be no where without the community, well put your money where your mouth is on that front.

I pre-ordered Morrowind (for considerably less than $120), and I've pre-ordered Summerset. I've enjoyed playing ESO with Morrowind for the past year, and I suspect I'll probably enjoy playing Summerset. The fact that they're giving it away now doesn't bother me in the slightest. I got my money's worth. Glad to see a lot of other people share this point of view! I think the op might be slightly off the mark with those predictions of ZOS's imminent demise. You have not been betrayed, you're just cross because the world doesn't treat you like the VIP you seem to think you are.

Fundamentally, this is how MMOs work.

Imagine for a second we get Summerset, then next year we get Chapter 3 and then Chapter 4. A person starting just after Chapter 4 releases has to buy the base game, plus Morrowind, plus Summerset, plus Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 for a massive initial investment that will put off a lot of players.

Instead, ESO is doing what all MMOs do, effectively "battle chesting" previous expansions. This means if you want to play the current Chapter content you need to pay for it, or you can wait a year and get it with ESO+, it's entirely up to you.

You pay for the year of getting it before others and playing it while it's the current best content, nothing more and this means both veteran players enjoy it now and new players don't have to invest hundreds of dollars to play the game.

Great move, necessary.

Year. Let's complain that houses were MUCH cheaper in 1970th and demand developers (real estate ones, not IT;-)) to compensate us, since were weren't able to buy one back than.
Bitcoin's rate was about 700$ in Jan 2017, now it's >5k$. Let's cry and demand that we were given some for free, since didn't buy it back than.
New cars are much more expensive than used ones, we should sue car companies, demanding rebate, since those old models are much cheaper now.

I bought the collectors edition of Morrowind..however I only paid 60 quid for it as it was on sale a couple of months after it was released. the book was exquisite. I was unsure of buying it but I was actually very pleased with the DLC, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story and content included. I also recently pre ordered Summerset Collectors edition, for a whopping price because the content included looks right up my street!. I am a veteran player, and also now a subscriber. I have the same opinion as @iannotinbjing I got what I paid for, and I enjoyed it. Newer players get a good deal, and they are welcome to it.

I do agree with with one or two things you mentioned but you are overreacting overall.

This isn't just a game, it is also a business who tries to survive and also make more profit to be able to invest more into the products they are delivering, to keep it up and running as best as possible... business has always been like that, it is rarely a bad thing. You buy things very expensive when they are out for the first time, and after a while it gets cheaper and cheaper or may be free for some period of time, this has been always like this and will always be like this.
