Would you support an alliance change token?

    I say wholeheartedly YES.

All it would do is generate more income for Zos as well as allow those new to the game to swap factions to the same as the guild to which they belong.

Most new players don't find a guild until "after" they have picked a faction in the character creation screen.

It's not enjoyable finding a great group of people to play with then discovering that you can't PvP with them because you accidentally chose the wrong faction so many levels back.

I understand that for many who have played for years and amassed a great pool of resources it appears simple to create and level a new toon simply to get around a faction change however for new people this is a long arduous process that sometimes results in them quitting the game.

It did for me and I am sure its the same for at least some others.

Will Zos do this? Almost deffinately not, however, if they did I would immediately purchase the ability (if it was 1000 crowns or less) to be able to PvP along side my guildmates.

Everytime you opt into a campagin in cyrodil you pick one of 3 teams and are locked into that team no matter what for the remainder of the campaign. All your earnings and achievements are counted directly to your faction.

It would be just perfect! :) The lock for all other characters for duration of the campaign (so people can't relog on their other faction characters in same campaign).
Changing Alliances resets your Alliance rank. You go strat back to Volenteer. Also fine if it coast in game gold, just like reseting skill/attribute points.

This would also be great, especially cause for gold. I only have 1 character who needs faction change, and losing his rather low rank to finally become one with my other 9 characters would be very insignificant thing :) It was more than a year since he visited Cyrodiil last time; when my horde is earning crystals nowadays, he is sitting in bank and being jealous :'(

Well, if we never get any of these options... I guess we can thank them for alliance-free Battlegrounds at least :/

I would support Alliance change token if they went back to a model where you could only have 1 faction per campaign.

I've never understood why people are so against this, because you've always been able to roll an alt for a different faction, anyway. All a faction change token would do is save you some time.

As primarilly a roleplayer I would.

I always wanted to be Dunmer but I didn't want to roleplay with reptiles and giants (sorry Nords and Argonians). So in the early ESO days I bought the collector's edition and intentionally placed my Dunmer into Daggerfall Covennant. However with One Tamriel and Housing this lost its reason (now you can rp with anyone regardless on factions), so I'd love to return to my "true origin". Especially since ESO is sadly poorly written in this regard and no one recognizes me as a Dunmer "immigrant". Sometimes leading to really silly stuff in DC quests like that I save someone's life and he starts to badmouth my own race in front of me. :-P

Make it something you can freely do in game - Change Alliance at a major city in any alliance.
It permanently locks out the other Alliances for that character - No one trusts a traitor, after all.
It also prevents that character from getting Emperor - No one wants a traitor on the throne, either.

    Sounds fair enough.

Yes I would support it since I've been asking for it for about two and a half years now.

Don't care if it has a cool down or not. As long as it's priced wisely it should keep faction hopping to a minimum.

Perhaps a one time allowance for those that had ESO pre one tamriel? I know I would appreciate one. My mag sorc was forced to be AD Bc of the race but all my friends r on DC including my stamblade that is now my pvp char. Would like to take my main into DC and feel it's a bit unfair I can't switch alliances Bc of racial restrictions. I've also played way too long with this char.

Yes, as I have all along. Make it so you can only change a character once, or have them lose their Alliance rank. Or make it cost AP or gold. Or all of above. No need to make it crown store expensive so only whales can do it.

I have toons from before One Tam and before I even pvp'd that are other alliances. I made them to 1) be able to group for dungeons more easily before One Tam and because 2) I wanted to play all the content, including seeing what it was like to level a toon in different alliances. But neither of these reasons matter anymore. I have already deleted the ones I was willing to delete but I still have 5 out of 15 toons that aren't AD and I am not willing to delete for multiple reasons.

My current "loyalty" to one alliance for pvp is due to 1) convenience and 2) I really, really dislike playing pvp on the other Alliances' sides because of the communities there are too hostile and toxic ime and pvp for me shouldn't involve having to stop what I'm doing to report players spewing anti-black and antisemitic racism in the zone chats.Nothing to do with being a "traitor"unless by that you mean getting tf away from racists.

Meh. The best idea I've seen so far was to make it so that we could choose our alliance at the beginning of campaigns in PvP, so we are able to have a fresh experience every time. PvE would remain the same as it is now. As for purchasing one in the crown store, no thanks.

It would need to be ultra expensive and have a minimum year cool down as there are far too many people hopping alliance already. Pick one and stay with it.

These are all good ideas. I do think they will implement an Alliance Token at some juncture, it would only make sense.

I don't see a reason why my Tamriel Hero couldn't fight for another alliance. I'd be fine with needing to wait for the end of the campaign for the change to come through.

Sometimes your friends depart from the game or you simply join a new guild and wish to PVP with them. Perhaps you have a character you love and don't want to start from scratch. You don't want to redo your mage guild, your undaunted, your fighters guild, your skill points, just to change alliances - you love your character.

For this we should have the option of an "Alliance Change Token". This token would come in the form of a consumable item like a race change or appearance change that you would buy for Crowns on the Crown Store. You would use it on your character in the character selection menu and it would come with one caveat to prevent abuse (changing alliances often) and that caveat would be a thirty day cool down. In addition, it would lock that character out from the campaign they were CURRENTLY in on their previous alliance until the end of the campaign. However, if no campaign had been selected as their home they would be free to join one.

Please try to keep this civil and productive.

I wouldn't mind I can always make new characters so if I can switch or not I will always have the character I want to have.

Hahaha why not. Heaven forbid there be anything close to a meaningful permanent choice in your game anymore. The me me me crowd shall be victorious at all costs!

How very satisfying that unlike the game, you can't bend real life to fit your have it all in 2 seconds agenda. I can't even imagine how unfathomably boned the world would be if you could.

Why not add class change tokens for use on the fly too at this point? That way when you see a certain class coming your way in pvp that you dont quite fancy you can immediately swap to your hard counter set up and have a go at winning.

Then if you still lose you can blame it on your faction, pop one of these tokens you've suggested and join the overpop zerg.

    Good grief. Whatever next.

Actually it should be part of the race change tokens, but a separate token would be appreciated.

I often play with my brother and we both created a Warden when Morrowind Launched. we only realised after we hit max level with them, that we picked different alliances (me DC, he EP). well, misscommunication on our end, now it would be cool if one of us could switch so we can play pvp with those chars together too.
max level: mDK, stamBlade, stamSorc, magPlar, mDen, stamDen, magBlade, stamCro

    # of mules: 4 (FULL)
    maxed bank: FULL -_-
Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.

I want it but tbh the fact that it doesn't exist has probably just saved me money from switching to PvP with different wishy-washy groups of friends :)
