    Hi everyone,

We’re excited to announce a new initiative we’ll be spinning up over the next couple months and would like your help! We’re looking for about 10 players to fill the role of an ESO Class Representative.

The selected players should have a deep understanding of at least one class, with extensive knowledge involving abilities, itemization, solo and group play in both PvE and PvP scenarios. Representatives will be asked to work together to compile a list of the top concerns and bugs for each class, and present these notes to members of the ESO Development Team on a quarterly basis. Note that we’re not looking for general class suggestions or ideas at this time; our focus will specifically be on some of the current pain points.

After these meetings are held, we’ll provide a summary of what was discussed so everyone in the community has visibility.

The goal of this program is to make sure we’re focusing on what’s important to YOU, and work together to ensure we’re taking your main concerns into consideration for future updates. This doesn’t mean every piece of feedback will be acted upon, but this will ensure your voice is being heard.

If you’d like to nominate one of your fellow players – or even yourself – for consideration of this role, please email us at community@elderscrollsonline.com by April 8 with the name, the class (or classes) your nomination specializes in, and a short reason why. The ESO Development and Community Teams will ultimately make the final decision on our final group of representatives.

Please let us know if you have any questions, and thanks!

@ZOS_GinaBruno Personally, I'm glad you guys keep looking at ways to understand the players' mindset. Trying to filter endless posts and poor polls can't help the understanding.

    @Tonturri

A pain point would be would be something that impairs functionality of a skill (ex cloak breaking constantly), or an unintuitive or difficult skill (Assassin’s will and LA management).
The role would be to query the community (and your own knowledge) about these kinds of issues. However, this is where you would stop in terms of a report, adding suggestions would not be part of it.

If you want to discuss about other classes, then you should discuss that with the respective representative to include in their quarterly report, keeping each report focused on their respective class.

    @aeowulf

There is so much feedback, and that’s the exact reason for this. The rep will be responsible for collecting all this feedback, filtering out non-issues (based on their experience), condensing it into the core points (so it isn’t necessary to respond to every part of 5 different 20 min videos), reducing the words used, to essentially make a sparknotes of the class ‘pain points’. This will allow for the devs (who are focused on other things) to address these with less additional time commitment on top of their other work (allowing for more responses/detailed responses)

I'll sound like a fanboy for suggesting him since he's a streamer, but at least on PC NA I've never seen anybody other than Kodi (@twitch.tvkodipvp) perform at a high level consistently across almost every class throughout multiple patches. He has a good idea of what makes a class strong or weak and how classes interact with each other. It's a shame he's mostly stopped playing, or else he'd be a perfect fit.

"I'd like to suggest some quite high-tier players that I feel were passed over so far:

Stam / Magicka DK : Big Boss The Dark Phoenix (@BLACKBIRDBIGBOSS) - the AD de facto leader in Cyrodiil, and Deadlands Adept at his lost hours. What he lacks in gameplay and "skill" as some elitists would disdainfully say, he compensates with sheer tenacity and willpower.

Piticu - @capusan.radu88 would also be a decent pic. His hybrid dual wield - restoration staff DK build with mutagen and steel tornado for max AP gains is exactly the out-of-the-box critical thinking that a true community rep needs.

Magicka Templar: @Prootch, a one of a kind holy warrior with a truly unique approach to the class. His focus on mobility and stealth over pure tanking has been noted over the years in Cyrodiil, making him a household name when it comes to fast-paced gameplay, large scale pvp, and strategic invis potion use.

Magicka NB: @Indigitally - creator of unique hybrid builds and great addition to the ESO Youtube community focusing on showcasing his enemies' mistakes and failures to hopefully help them improve.

Magicka Sorc: @Synndrel - Wife of another truly laudable magicka sorc (Legendary Mage), it seems that greatness runs in the family. Her shock staves builds, amazing gameplay, and motivational speeches in /zone show all the qualities that a community representative would need.

Stamina Nightblade: Vox-Ir ( @Voxicity ) - An adept of large scale PVP and seemingly unfair fights, this nightblade's skill is only surpassed by his forum presence. He has a lot of wisdom to offer, and it's high time we listened.

Magicka / Stamina NB: Blobs ( @Blobsky ) - Greatest EU streamer, with helpful guides, absolutely savage builds, and an all around great performance in both PVE and PVP. Virtually unchallenged at the top, he is a very respectful (https://clips.twitch.tv/SteamyAbstruseTortoiseDogFace) and friendly player that would make a great community representative. He's got my vote, that's for sure!

It seems to me that all the aforementioned players have similar skill levels, background, and impact on the community. While not universally liked, I believe that they have a place in our community as well as in our hearts, and I would love to see their efforts rewarded!

Long overdue and I appreciate the initiative ZoS is going for here in at least trying to get more communication between players and devs.

I hope the pool of reps are a fair representation of all facets in the game. We have PvP, PvE, Healing, DPS, tanking, magicka based, stamina based, solo, group, BGs, etc., an awful lot to consider just even for a single class.

    Hopefully this becomes productive!

After reading this, I thought it would be nice to nominate myself for Stamina/Magicka flexibility primarily in a Warden (as they are my preferred class until an official necromancer related topic comes up.), but primarily, my knowledge purely resides in the ways of the Werewolf & PvE activity for Werewolves & as such, there may be complications, that & many players may not exactly take kindly to nominating me (I do not expect them to as it is up to them what they decide) but each to their own you know, they have their reasons for these particular topics/commentary & I know to accept their reason when deemable & after extensive thinking/testing via Xbox one.

& Also, Shouldn't the Team at least have a few extra nominees to represent themselves as World Skill Representatives (Primarily to Purely Represent Werewolves/Vampires Respectively.) so as to cover a few extra aspects in the process/game as Werewolves & Vampires can blend in well with other classes, not to mention people should also nominate themselves or others to represent vampires/werewolves in the mix to be able to cover even more ground & essentially make them better over time. There is also the fact that there is room to add more abilities to vampires, more possible itemisations (armor sets, styles, etc.) crushing any bugs there may be & so much more that one could do for the more "supernatural" aspect of the elder scrolls online.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

I read original post and see they are not looking for class developers but for issues feedback about the class? so basically broken skills, AI issues, lack of diversity, players issues with a class, mechanics impacts on the class this kind of thing, BUT not buff / nerf ?

Did I misunderstand ? is it something else ?

It seems to me that this community outreach effort would benefit from representing other aspects of the game, too. Intense end-game combat is not the only reason people play. There is a strong heritage of single player questing once "The Elder Scrolls" appears in a game's title. ESO has a plentiful supply of buggy quests that could surely be improved.

But, more generally, this effort is only addressing a specific symptom of an overall problem: that is, the wide rift between producer (developer) and consumer (player) in every aspect of gameplay and every aspect of the roadmap on which you as a company choose to focus.

Case in point: Is there any substantial player base that *likes* the one-time-use dye stamp? There may be those that buy them, but that doesn't mean that they *like* the limited nature of the feature. And yet, you continue to produce new ones as if they were the most popular thing in the store. You might do well to get some concentrated player feedback on crown store offerings, and whether people really do *like* it vs. tolerate it. And this, again, is just an example of another symptom of the overall problem, the overall disconnect we face.

I've read a number of threads on the forums that tend to follow the same overall pattern. I think they can be summarized....

ZOS: What things would players like to see in the next release?
Players: None, really. Please focus at least for a few months on fixing this giant list of issues.
Z: Ok, we hear you and we are reading your posts.
P: No, really, we mean it... please just fix bugs for at least a little while.
Z: Ok, we heard you, and we now have this fantastic new DLC! Do you like it?
P: No, that's not what we said; please just focus on fixing things before making new things that are broken.
Z: Oh, sorry. Well, play the DLC on PTS, and we'll fix things before we deliver it. You can help make the game you paid for better!
P: ...Fine... ok, here's a list of things wrong with the new DLC you're going to release.
Z: Thanks! We read your issues, and are now releasing the DLC!
P: But.... you didn't fix the things we pointed out....
Z: Isn't the new DLC great? Post on Twitter how great it is!
P: No, it isn't! It costs too much, delivers too little, and has too many problems!
Z: Hey, we'll make things better with a new event where you can win 3 crates and buy many more! Everyone loves crates, right?
P: .......No. Not everyone loves crates. At all. Can you please fix the DLC we just bought?
Z: We'll get to that, but we've got this great new DLC coming out on PTS that you can play in advance. Please let us know how great it is on Twitter!
    P: ............

Any system you enact needs to break this unending cycle. To that end, I question the effectiveness of free labor. You would do well to outline compensation packages for doing the work that you yourselves are already being paid to do. Without adequate compensation, you will get sub-par results.

Thank you very much, kind sir.

Think I've been in PvP like twice in the past 3 months, so I take it as a compliment that I'm still such a popular Stamblade given my absence and solo/duo playstyle.
