It's been taking SO long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I usually am not the one to whine for the refund if some issue lasts few hours (*** happens).. but it's been taking damn long!!!!!!!!!!!

Was able to log in last midnight and play for a bit. Logged out to do some work, and then tried to play again a few hours later, now it will not let me in, including this morning. I can play using the EU server but not the NA server.

PC NA on Steam.

I guess if I get in today, I will use a joystick and put a rubber band on it if I have to do something else.

For anyone who might've missed our earlier update from this morning, we are working with Steam to get this resolved as quickly as possible. This is a priority. We'll continue to provide updates as we have them.

Let me help you fix that banner in the mean time:

"We are aware that some Steam players are having issues logging into the North American and European PC/Mac megaservers. We are actively investigating and will let you know when we have an update. Thank you!"

So last night from like 1 to 3 AM I think or whenever I posted in this thread it worked again.

Now at 12PM EST, and I get this error again... odd.

I was able to play in the hours of 1am to 5am, I had a feeling that logging out would buck me again.....LOL

Im going to say it again because no one has said they have looked into it and found it's not the problem...

I think the OVERlying problem with steam is the result of an UNDERlying problem with ESO related to the extended time it takes for the launcher to load, the game to load, the longin to happen, the load in character and long load screens while zoning. It's my belief that the ESO issue causing a roundabout time out that is making an already crappy steam system fail.

If this was true why can we log in to EU? This is where your logic fails.

I have an issue launching the game from the client, where I get a message saying my directX isn't supported (started sometime between 9am and 11am today). My issue is different from this thread's issue, right?

what if buy The Elder Scrolls® Online Morrowind® Digital Collector's Edition through the ESO site, uninstall my steam and download straight from ESO, will my subscription be valid? Will my characters be there?

I am still unable to log in. Weird how it was temporarily resolved. Curious if I will get a free ESO+ day when this is resolved, but at this point, I would just be happy to play my favorite game.
Kinda almsot wish I had unlinked my Steam account.

Same issue, worked briefly this morning 12-3 am CST and just went to login today 11:30am and internal error.

Would be nice if you guys kept records of ESO+ locally and not just on STEAM for STEAM users...

Do we have an estimate on when this issue will be fixed? I literally wanted to buy 6 months of ESO+ when i came home, but then i ran into this issue and now I'm not so sure. Can you at least implement a way for us steam users to download through your website since some of us actually spent $60 to buy this game???

What I would like to see: specifics regarding what went wrong, and what is being done to make sure it doesn't happen again, or to make sure it is resolved much, much more quickly next time.

I am a bit concerned that eso does not know I have membership without Steam telling them. Is there somewhere on eso website that we can click or whatever so eso 'knows' for itself?

Same. I will also add the launcher itself launched much snappier than it had been, even though I could get into EU and not NA before, but this seems to be tied in as jaye63 has repeatedly pointed out.
