Any one up to the challenge of figuring out the math behind brass vs impregnable based on set parameters?

    try this:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1T4Yg2o-rzHdKSLd2gipzpVij6ABdpmikff2ZfcBPcdc/edit?usp=sharing

Any one who opens this can edit the whole thing, so it'll probably get f'ed up. And unfortunately, if people are using it at the same time, they can change each other's input numbers. Oh well, it's the best way I know to share this tool.

    To use it:

    1. Input numbers for an opponent's crit chance and crit damage factor (**AS DECIMALS**)
    2. Input your TOTAL crit resist you have when running Impreg, and your TOTAL crit resist while running Brass
    3. Input your base physical/spell resistance (before accounting for Brass)

    Notes:

    1. The formulas assume that your base physical/spell resistance is the same for each set up before accounting for the set bonus of either Brass or Impreg.
    2. The output value for "Total Mitigation from Impreg" does not account for the fact that Impreg frees up other traits and/or CP nodes, which obviously can benefit you in a number of ways.
    3. IMPORTANT: the "Total Mitigation from Impreg" value will be wrong if you "over resist" your opponent's critical damage factor to less than 1. 1 is the lowest possible critical damage factor in game. I couldn't find a way to account for this in the formula. EDIT: Fixed, found a way to force a value if 1 when over resisting crit.
EDIT 2: Made the calculations account for base physical/spell resistance.
