    If ZOS can’t prove it has suitable infrastructure and software QA, prior to my subscription ending, I just can’t in good conscience renew it. Makes no sense to pay for broken dungeon finder and load screen b/s that would have been caught on stress tests and QA.

    Edit: it’s a shame too, because I’ve been enjoying what’s on offer with this game, for years. But it’s just not worth time and money in its current state. ZOS would only need to extend folks sub time to remedy this. Like every other mmo I’ve been a part of.

    We’d like to give everyone an update on the current load screen issues. We have identified a number of problems that could cause a long loading screen (and in this case, we’re defining “long” as being over two minutes). The change that was included in this week’s PS4 patch and tomorrow's (tentatively scheduled) Xbox patch reverted some character model texture code that was recently introduced, which alleviates the issue introduced with the Clockwork City update. The final fix for this particular issue, which is tied to character textures not loading properly, is still being investigated.

    We’re actively looking at issues where other player characters are invisible to you, and sometimes appear to be causing loading screens. If you run into this while playing, please use /bug so we can collect some additional data. At this time, we believe we know what’s causing this, but more data certainly couldn’t hurt.

    We’re also in the process of testing fixes for some other intermittent cases that cause longer loading screens:
    • When you resurrect or jump to a Keep where many of your group members are located
    • Long loading screens when first entering Cyrodiil, Battlegrounds, or main cities in PvE zones
    • Traveling within a zone or resurrecting near lots of other active players (there’s actually some cases where you’ll just be disconnected after a few minutes)

    When we get approved fixes for the issues mentioned above, we’ll plan to roll them into an incremental patch for PC, and likely the next update for console. Thanks to everyone for your continued patience.

    Yes, because they need to do a patch for the group finder not working, they'll also be doing xbox's load screen issue. Though I must say, I'm on PS4, and this evening got stuck in a load screen. Waited the recommended two minutes, then waited another three for good measure. On that note, closed app, and am done for the night.

    So PVP is broken and they cant do anything for 1 whole month.....as soon as PVE has an issue they can patch it within 24 hours. Unbelievable.

    Except they aren't really helping PvE that much either. I STILL get nothing but a never-ending loading screen when trying to get into Shadowfen! DX

    Seriously! I tried repairing via the launcher, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I even tried leaving it on the loading screen for an hour! Shadowfen is inaccessible to me!

    So now with this unneeded, unnecessary dungeon event, devs are scrambling to fix the grouping bug and the fix for PC will be pushed back even more.

    8 minute loading screen in Deshaan earlier today. During the middle of the day (not even prime time). AFTER I had to reinstall my game because your vastly unstable client wouldn't recognize PC NA as a server I could log into.

    Honestly, you guys are making Daybreak Games look more competent than you, and that's saying a lot if you are at all familiar with that dumpster fire of a company.

    So I ask again, what's the ETA on a fix for PC?

    How will you compensate the console ESO+ users?

    Seems that hopping around enthuastic and swiftly immediately when few whatever Random boxes are not working. Actually read that you will try to deliver those to people affected.

    With that logic I guess you will extend any active PS4 subsription with 3 weeks and Xbox with 4 weeks?

    That would be least you could do.

    Also still waiting to hear from your customerservice! Ticket still open there and npthing happening. So is that even functional anymore?

    Looks like the Xbox is getting the patch today. But, did they have to bring PC and PS4 servers offline just to do it? Or does ESo normally have 2 maintenances a week?

    The maint they are doing today is completely out of the norm. A welcome change and one that I really hope continues.

    The maintenance for PC and PS4 today had nothing to do with the loading screen issue.

    Also, everyone, please remember that the fix we have in today's Xbox patch (and the earlier PS4 patch) isn't meant to fix all loading screens you'll ever run into; just the ones relating to the character textures we talked about, which was one of the more common ones you were running into since we launched Update 16. The post made yesterday afternoon outlined some of the other cases we're still working on.

    Well that's weird... where I come from, if [snip] goes wrong at work on friday, well we come back on saturday and on sunday if we have to to fix said [snip]. Looks like ZOS is not a company who really cares. Taking weekends when the core of your business is not working properly is beyond me really

    Xbox one S internal hard drive EU server. I sometimes get infinite loading screens when using wayshrines. This happens several times in a 2 hour playing session. The only option is to then relog. Also, I get a loading screen mid zone - especially in Grahtwood and Wrothgar - this happens every time I visit those zones

    If you'd done a little research - such as Dev Tracker - before complaining, you'd have known that there was a problem with the new group-based event which needed to be fixed with emergency maintenance, during which downtime it also made sense to run the Xbox patch.

    I can't login I can usually (not always) get to the character select screen, but after choosing my character it get a long wait and then disconnected.

    Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K
    SSD is a Crucial M4 512GB

    I had a crash porting to Davon's watch and was not able to log in after that. So the texture issue may be near the Davon's Watch Wayshrine.

    Numerous attempts to login both last night and today had failed. I even tried to log in my alt in Rivenspire (likely at Wayshrine) and it failed as well. Always after selecting a specific character and trying to log in and with a very long wait before failing.

    Lastly, Just now at 11:05AM pacific I was able to log into my main at Davon's Watch Wayshrine.

    So the infinite loading screens we have been seing in pc since launch are finally being fixed? Like the one I just had? And how are you supposed to type /bug if you cant get out of the loadign screen?

    Will be logging on soon and posting an update. I will know very soon after logging on because it's impossible for me to go to one of the capital cities without being in an infinite load screen. Going to be an easy test.

    Have yet to get a load screen over two minutes. But have had some go two minutes exactly. Feels like a long time.

    Edit: it's still alot less time than it would take to re-log so it's definitely an improvement. Now to see if I go back to crashing in DLC areas

    I have played pretty much all day (yikes) and I didn't encounter a single infinite loading screen. I also didn't see a ton of black silhouettes running around when going to Vulkhel. I didn't try Vivec which is where I have had the worst of the problems.

    I'm on xb1/NA. So far, personally, I haven't had a loading screen issue.

    Yes but in my previous posts I mentioned how whatever performance updates they did in CwC helped my crashing in the DLC area. Other than the load screens, my performance was much improved as I could go to places like Vivec and Abahs Landing and not crash. I was worried that while this roll-backs would fix the load screens it would cause my crashing to Xbox dashboard issues in DLC areas to resurface and unfortunately that is the case. I hope they can find a way to bring back those performance enhancements without the infinite loadsceens sometime soon.

    I'm having continuous problems logging into the game on any character in any zone, and in my housing instances as well

    I will log in, the character screen comes up I pick a character and regardless where I log my character in 8/10 times it will crash and send me back to the dashboard while anything has either NOT loaded in or has barely loaded the game and crashed. This happens logging into personal home instances, Cities, the wilderness areas. Everywhere and forces me to log in 2-3 times before I get the game to actually load in and not get dashboarded/crashed back to log in screen.

    I have repeatedly tried to bring attention to this but have not been able to get any sort of acknowledgment of fixing this issue.

    This has been happening before AND after clockwork city's update. And is now still happening after reverting the games pipline and updates directly following them.

    I don't know what else to do here

    I am still unable to get to character select. I got the long response from a report ticket. Allow thru Firewall blah blah. Do a flush of DNS blah blah. Oh here is a new one don't have cables coiled near your device .. Ummm lets see.. I finally went to Virtual help desk thru Microsoft lol and even did a complete update and patch of Windows.. then I did another flush, then I looked to make sure firewall permissions were still set.. Guess what... INFINITE LOAD screen. get thru to the launch with password, but then the really nice graphic of whatever's is todays picture is and the little circle down on bottom right just spins and spins and spins.. like the hamster wheel but the hamster is obviously dead in the other corner.. I'm gonna try to spin around 25 times with my eyes crossed. maybe that will work.. It gets the point where you know it is no longer you the consumer but it is the game seller who is to blame for this.. I have NO issues with any other game on my system.. And Bethesda/Zenimax just continues to have one problem after another.. Really is a shame.. the guy who wanted to duel with me probably thinks I ran away like a big sissy LALA . but honestly hun, I simply cannot get into the game...
