Ban addons in PVP.

They are clearly causing issues with how your sets are supposed to work. They are giving unfair advantages to people they are using them. With big thier flashing "dodge now" and "break free" warnings as well as being able to see exactly the hp of the enemies they are targeting quickly and easily.

Ban addons in PVP and level the playing field.

No. Yes they need to limit some aspects of their API. But a big flat no to banning addons in pvp.

I only use destinations addon anyways so go ahead . Won't effect me . I know Cyrodiil like the back of my hand after 3 years anyways .

The only addons at use are for trading.. because thier guild store UI is terrible and the guild store system makes it very hard to know how to price things when you are trading blind.

Anyone who needs addons to tell them to dodge or break free is nowhere close to being good anyway . Do you really need them to stop using these ? You should be able to kill them with ease . There are some addons that needs to be completely deleted from the game , everyone knows which addon I am talking about , but the ones you are talking about are not effective in gameplay at all .

Seeing the HP your enemy have is already in the game settings . Nothing to do with addons .

We don’t need to ban addons just restrict the information they can access. There’s a lot of great addons that improve the qol in cyrodiil.

I kinda like using Kill Counter and AUI in pvp. I use AUI everywhere.

Miat should become a licensed addon and demand coin from users, so that finally, Cyro can become Pay to win.

ESO should get microtransactions for Console and sell for $5 Miat, DPS, guildstore and other cool addons. Think of all the coin!!!

Tbh, despite how I like many addons such as FTC, Kill Counter, HarvestMap etc, I'd rather have none of them than even one toxic CheatEngine equivalent turd that's making entire playstyles unviable in PvP.

So if that's the only way forward, then disable them all. I would still prefer them to just restrict the API (as they were supposed to do half a year ago) though.

This is me complaining that the stated reason for changing clever alchemist is because people were using the buff then using an addon to quickly switch gear then engaging.

Banning addons will not change anything . You can still clear your bag and equip whatever you want in few seconds after activating Clever Alchemist . 15 seconds is more than enough to swap gear without addons and kill your target . Of course , I am assuming anyone who would do this should be able to kill their target in less than 3 seconds . Obviously , people did it without addons as well , that's probably why they are doing this change .

You know that addons are not cheats nor do they allow you anything that they devs do not want(assuming they know what they are doing). They are modification of functions the game does provide. For most of the part addons improve the game and add missing functions like mini map, multi crafting, fast gear setup change, nicer ui....
Sometimes function of addons are added in the base game like combat text.

That people want to ban addons because you can fast change your gear and save gear setups is just idiotic

As for the miat addon, i am sorry but i don't have any sympathy with a out of stealth game style that give you a big advantage if stealth is so easy in this game especial if you are a nb. There is almost zero chance that you get pulled out of stealth before you start a fight and stealth means invisibility in this game. Hell even whole dc raids can go in stealth and are invisible if you are more than 15m away from them.
Also you actually can play around with player using that addon and let them dodge on command and use that for your advantage.

Last official word was that all notifications for attacks from enemies you can't see would be removed - obviously this is not the case.

Miat's CheatEngine 3rd party plugin does a whole lot more than just affect stealth, it affects all abilities with cast time, meaning you can matrix dodge crystal frags coming from the side with ease, prevent opponent from "hiding" the cast animation to surprise you, it prevents mid-combat cloak->snipe combos etc

Miat's CheatEngine doesn't actually affect the most dangerous types of stealth builds at all (the melee ones) - it only f's up ranged builds for no reason.

I don't think you realize just how badly the addon messes up ranged builds with cast times.

Oh, and CheatEngine is a very accurate comparison in terms of harm done to the game.
In fact, not even CheatEngine allowed you to detect incoming attacks before they're even in the air.

Lol, there's a huge difference between miats and cheat engine. If you think that add-on is a cheat engine, you have no clue about how add-ons function.

It doesn't let me fly, but it lets me see attacks I wouldn't see normally and it lets me see those even before they're in the air.

I'd take that any day over something lame like flying.

But you're right, it has only one cheat function (equivalent to Wallhacks/Aimbots in FPS games) - so I'll call it CheatEngine Lite. Happy now?
