Very cool trial and def my new favorite.

    My only complaints would be:
    - 4th boss FPS drop when bosses are brought to the center/boss fight begins
    - 4th boss some adds spawn too close to the center, activating in 1-2 seconds which renders the achievement to not let a single add reach the center impossible to achieve based on RNG
    - 4th boss multiple adds going towards 1 player, killing players and possibly ruining no death runs based on RNG
(I once got simultaneously focused by 3 adds that spawned like 2sec away from the center -_-)
    - 5th boss Hard Mode is too similar to Regular with only a health increase

Besides that 4th boss having some RNG-related mechanics, vHoF is my new favorite trial.

Used to be Hel Ra Citadel, cause back in the day it was less stack and burny than Aetherian Archives. Do note I said less, not non existent. When Sanctum Ophidia came out it was fun but also TO DAMN LONG! To much trash in Sanctum. Maw was always meh for me, it was challenging but not all that much fun, and the endless repetition took the fun away from it. Though I loved the need for 2 tanks.

Halls of Fabrication has a great setting and environment, requires 2 tanks and is again less stack and burny. The fights also makes things interesting for tanks, and there is more for us to do. And there is more chance for good rewards with a good amounts of chests and the end of it. Giving more chance for Weapons and shields to drop. My team have had a lot of fun in there, more so than any other trial I would say personally, but Hel Ra is still a close second.

Agree that the MoL mechanics are clear and defined. Easy to work with yet tragic when missed.

While I haven't seen all of vHoF it really seems the devs are just tossing crap at us for the sake of it. Kinda like vSO on steroids. Granted, we may find betyee ways to deal with vHoF eventually.

AA is like a warmup trial. The whole thing is stack and burn, but it can be fun once in a while. It's also useful for DPS parsing.

HelRa has always been my least favorite. Largely I think because I am not a huge fan of the split group mechanic it forces on you. In a good group it's not as big of a deal, but the number of times I have gone AFK for 30 minutes while the top group wipes on repeat has really put me off of this place. I do kind of like the warrior fight.

VSO is probably my second favorite behind VMOL. This was the first trial that I actually had to "progress" through. The difficulty was very good on release, and it really opened up some new mechanics. The biggest complaint about this trial is the length. There is a bit too much trash, which becomes very repetitive.

VHOF is gorgeous and I do like some of the mechanics, but it feels rushed and unfinished. I also think there is too much RNG in some of the fights, especially on boss 4 with double Suicide bombers. I also really dont like the way the traps function. They just feel broken. I also dont like that they can snare your pet. Makes them pretty useless in that fight. Lastly, I am just not a fan of drain resource mechanics. I think it's a very cheap way to artificially increase difficulty.

VMOL had the best mechanics of any trial. Each boss presents a new and unique challenge. They seemed to be damn near impossible at first, but as you learned them, you realized that the strats and mechanics were actually quite elegant. I also like the gauntlet style approach to a lot of the trash. It feels less like fighting trash, and more like you are actually accomplishing something. The difficulty was just about perfect on launch. Performance issues aside, this trial is the gold standard. Our HM clear after months of progression was perhaps my most memorable accomplishment in a video game ever (for whatever that is worth).

    Close between MoL and HoF.

Maybe I'll like HoF better once the PC patches come to console and I don't have to deal with the Pinnacle Factotum's stupid shield anymore.

    So I'd go ... MoL > HoF > AA > HRC > SO.

MoL: Twins fight is the coolest fight in the game. The whole Trial is just beautiful and interesting.

HoF: Really like the pressure it puts on the group ... first boss is all about tanks or interrupters (depending on your tactic), second fight puts a ton of pressure on the runners, third fight is a fun DPS race, fourth fight is all about the tanks again ... haven't done the fifth fight on vet yet. One thing I don't like about this Trial is that melee is punished on the first 2 bosses. Much easier to have most or all ranged DPS as melee DPS have little time to react to the stunning shock thingies and the steam health debuff.

AA: A really easy Trial on vet, but it has some interesting risk/reward setups, particularly the Wispmother fight. Also, on Hard Mode, this Trial goes from arguably the easiest to arguably the most difficult. The Mage HM is a brutal fight.

HRC: Visually probably my favorite Trial, but it's super easy. Even on Hard Mode, it takes a few runs to learn the mechanic and the correct positioning and then it's just stack and burn.

SO: I just hate it. Too much trash. Overchargers suck. Poison sucks. Ozara's stupid bolts suck. The Hard Mode mechanic is not interesting at all, it hardly changes the Serpent fight. I enjoy the Possessed Mantikora fight but everything else is lame. The Ozara strategy where a tank runs a Victory Lap just feels cheap. The Stonebreaker fight is really biased towards ranged toons with shields. Did I say there was too much trash? Yeah, there's too much trash.

That trial still makes my heart beat. Probably because I haven't beaten it on Vet, yet, much less on HM. But every time I managed to put 12 people together to run it, it's just so... awesome. I absolutely love the Twin Boss mechanics. How the group has to be coordinated to get through it with ease, just lovely.

Maw for sure. It was by far the best feeling of accomplishment my first vet clear. Now finding a group that actually wants to commit to the other achievements is pretty much impossible.

As a tank I quite liked the fact that HoF asks more work on our part. However I've never been a fan of dwemer stuff and the whole clockwork theme feels more annoying to me than amazing, particularly when even the environment drains your resources just because.

    MoL hands down.

Beautiful mechanics, which require fluid coordinated movements. vMoL is all about teamwork and honestly gives a feeling of making it through together.

It's the only vTrial I haven't completed yet, by the way. Irony, you heartless *** :D Especially infuriating, because it was this close, several times - this close :s

Twins are my most favorite boss in the whole game. Closely followed by Velidreth, by still solidly 1st.

vHoF honestly has too much bs :/

In a way, I would say that MoL vs HoF is like CoS vs RoM, only HoF is much worse :/

I was severely disappointed when I saw what 4th boss looks like on vet :/ Specifically - last 20%. Find safe-spot in the see of numerous AoEs. That's it.

"Find safe-spot in the see of numerous AoEs". Really? Really?! That's what you came up with? After Zhaj'hassa, after Twins, after Rakkhat? "Pfffff, let's just throw AoEs and let them search safe-spots". Great, aha, great :/

Last boss is anticlimatic. Execute phase is just tedious. It's, again, not a race, like on Rakkhat, when you make it or break it and it's a ride of a life. In vHoF you painfully drag through execute, thinking "when will this end", not because it ends and you made it and yay. No. "When will this end", because it's tedious.

And lol. Heavy attacks. All the heavy attacks. And a bit more heavy attacks. And...

    Just... why? :/

Still working on vMoL but it's quite interesting. I made an attempt tonight and it wasn't that bad. We got the twins to ~35%. Having cleared just once on normal before didn't give me much experience. But I will probably clear it in a couple more attempts. I tried vHoF on PTS but I couldn't really get a hang on the 2nd boss fight. I was getting one shot all the time even trough block. I was having a pretty bad day so I called it quits after a couple of hours and never went back since. I cleared all the Craglorn ones, and on my 1st attempt on vSO we tried the HM but was unfamiliar with the mechanics so we couldn't clear it, but we got the boss to ~15%. I cleared it a bit later without HM and realised wasn't much of a difference. The other HM I attempted was vAA. Got 2 attempts on that, last one to ~30%.

Sanctum Ophidia. I love Serpent's voice - don't agree with his goal but just simply love hearing all his phrases. And during Manticora fight, he makes it seem like Manticora yells "Sit!" while doing his heavy attack - my favourite part :)
I actually love Ozara's bolt mechanics cause it makes people pay attention to their allies and help them. That's all I like in this trial :|

Hel Ra Citadel. I like everything what Warrior says. Love the epic slow arrival of Ra-Kotu... Now that I think of it, it's the best boss arrival and introduction I saw in this game. Love when you aggro Warrior and he just starts talking about his sword in calm tone while running to kill you :) That's all I like in this trial :|

Aetherian Archive. Do not like anything in this trial :o

Maw of Lorkhaj. I like S'kinrai and Vashai fight, to be precise - their "yin yang" mechanic. Also like when Rakkhat yells "Revenge!!!" after group wipes :D Find it super hilarious... Also like Void Callers phase, but don't like Void Assassins which can spawn there. That's all I like in this trial :|

As for Halls of Fabrication... I could see it myself only on PTS, when I run past trash mobs to the first boss. Gates were closed so I just watched two lightning dinosaur skeletons, imagining how cool the fight will be :o And last boss fight, reading comments on PTS I imagined some epic fight in large interesting area...
But recently I finally watched video of this trial. I was so disappointed :| By everything - from first to last fight. Assembly General fight was such a fail compared to my expectations - he is too huge, he is almost static, and poor tanks only see his feet. Such a fearsome machine, but most of what it does is being in one (or another) place in weird small room. I only liked the idea of mechanic when first bosses create beam when too close to each other, and when 4 people go into portals on one of next bosses to disable some mechanisms. That's all :/

    From a pugging perspective:
AA -> 11ppl standing on a platform waiting for some moron standing in the middle of the room dancing, who finds himself super funny.
HRC -> ppl fail to grasp the concept of splitting a group in two, usually results in tank and both healers being one side.
MoL -> u managed to get past the twins? really? chances r, u got 3 ppl knowing right path, but noone knowing the others.
HoF ->best feature: u know it will be a failrun on the first boss.

Sanctum, well u need one good healer, a halfdecent tank and a bunch of decoys for the spears, hardest to fail xD
