Would you want a "class re-choose" token/option in the game?

    1) Choices were made based on race and class combinations at Day 1. ZOS turned the game upside down, multiple times, destroying core class skills and/or changing them completely along with racial passives. Not player's fault.

    2) ZOS would profit a lot of money on it.

    3) Non account wide achievements discourages alt playing plus the lack of replayability in the story content.

    4) It shouldn't concern anyone if someone chooses their classes. Morons will argue that "BUT BUT THE META EVERYONE WILL ROLL THE SAME CLASS BUA BUA BUA"...like it doesn't already happen anyways. The very ppl they complain about are the ones who already have alts and hop on the fotm class/race combo.

    5) Put reasonable restrictions such as period of cooldown between changes, revert all class skills only to 1 and a high crown price.

    6) Add a faction change token whislt you at it. With a long cooldown and high price.

    7) People that complain about other's ppl ability to choose something that doesn't affect them and the game to have another solid source of funds should really get their heads examined.

After fully leveling 3 magicka characters lorebooks and all, I fully support this...hell Ide pay 5k crowns just to not farm skyshards and lorebooks alone....

Sometimes I feel like a change but I cba to keep leveling a different character...call me lazy but I think it would be nice to have this option even if its a 'once only' thing.

If their Class skill lines are at 0 and require levelling up, it's irrelevant how many CPs they will have, as they literally won't be able to play the class without levelling it up, and thus learning its procedures, first.

If they're level 630, they have almost certainly already played every class already, and will know the game very, very well.

I used to dislike this idea but came to think it wouldn't be so bad. I know I would not reroll to whatever class is meta. Some people would but probably not the majority

im thinking of dungeon groups. get a high cp player in and think woot! and then watch them either fail at tanking or healing or do no damage. i have seen similar things before.

We already have a lot of CP630 players without a clue on how to play their class :/

    No.

The solution to this issue is that you have been given many character slots...literally its the one thing you can't change and you are given the option to try out many different combos and also you can purchase character slots..........

There's only...what, 5 classes now? Eight character slots......why reroll? Just make a new character.

I wouldn´t have made this poll, if I would be happy with only this option. :P

Except what you're asking for is simply to be able to change to the FotM build/class at a whim. The answer remains no.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

a character mastering all class should be the goal in a long term game

for me and to make unpredictable builds i'll make all class active like the weapons one, then you choose the skills you like.

Alliance one time change, it needs. Noobs can't help it if they accidently started an AD toon and realize their mistake

There are several ways to do this "class change" thing:
    1) Class change token. Obviously. Profit for ZO$;
    2) An invitation your new character to already existing world of your main character. So you can play while you play )
    3) Skyshard points, most of achivements, books as well as some of skill trees, like Undaunted, must be account wide.

Again, this is not about leveling 1-50. This is about losing all your PvE progress when you start a new character. Especially painful if you are a perfectionist-completionist )

Character slots are all well and good if you want to start a new character of a different class. But as mocap said, the problem with this is losing all your progress when you start a new character.

    Beardimus wrote: »

Evaluate that result again after taking into account 1500 quests, 1000 POIs, 180 riding skill-ups, 366 skyshards, 297 lorebooks, 3000 Eidetic books, 6 weapon lines, 3 armour lines, 5 Guild lines, 6 crafting lines, 4 world lines, and 1200 achievements, and then try telling me that it doesn't take a long time.

Levelling to 50 is not the issue here. People want to be able to try a new class without losing all that progress. Those things can all be done regardless of your class choice, so you shouldn't have to do them all again just because you want to try a new class.

I don´t think so, since if you can only choose one class and then only change back and forth to the class you originally chose (maybe not even that and the choosing is final) and the class, you bought a token to rechose it, I don´t think, that it will ruin anything in my opinion.

Maybe a subclass system like lineage 2. You have your class but can swit to one second lvl 1 but you can return to the other ever and swit again ever.

Hm, I think it would be more likely, that we get a rechoose token, than a completely new system...

Because what you said is irrelevant. Because not everyone wants to do what they have already done again. We're talking years of effort and time put to get high achievement scores, for example, or a name that you want to use and be known as. How is new character a viable solution? It's absolutely not.

All that "just roll new character" comes from PvPers. They don't care about PvE progress, so it's easy for them to create new class, power level it to 50 and go Cyro for whatever reason.

Reset every skill then on class change , class , Mage guild , fighters guild , horse speed and undaunted as you wouldn't have earned it on that character
Guild skills and Riding skills are completely unrelated to Class skills. There's no need to reset those as well. Analogy - if I quit my current job in climate research and start a new one in game development, I'll be starting that job from scratch, but the fact that I'm starting a new job doesn't affect my ability to play the drums.

    This.
And I also think that class change would make more sense than race change. After all, changing profession is something realistic. On the other hand, when an elf transforms into a cat, well... "Its magic. I aint gotta explain sh*t".
