Would you want a "class re-choose" token/option in the game?

I remember old posts like this. And statistic about it is pretty interesting and funny. Something like this:

Do you want a class change token?
    2015 - no, just no!
    2016 - no
    2017 - well...
    2018 - hell yeah!
    :D

I think most of TESO players play this game like a singleplayer. They don't want to lose all their achivements, skill lines, tons of completed quests, shards, books etc... Thats why they want that token.

Yes, but only if you start with nothing in your new class unlocked and nothing leveled, so you'd have to actually play to level your new class just like you were starting fresh with a new character.

I also don't think there should be a limit to the number of times you can change your class. If someone wants to change their class every week, how does that negatively impact you or the game?

Ish no. Everyone would just play whatever the flavor odd the month is.

What's wrong with that? How does that negatively affect you or the game?

    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

True, but this whole class token change thing is a non-starter; it won't happen, so don't get your hopes up to high. You can pray and all that, but the 7 aren't hearing ya...

Why would people stop buying extra character slots if there was a class change token? I would rather have an additional character than keep paying to switch a character back and forth.

And why would that be a problem for ZOS? You can only open a character slot once. You can change a class multiple times.

Because you would just change the same character over and over and wouldn't need to buy extra slots , as I have said before it's not hard to level up a character I have one of each

Eh, depends really. The only reason I would actually really want such a thing is because re-training your mount (sans buying the skill In the store) is annoying as can be. I have a character with it maxed out and always feel I must play the character for that simple reason and his inventory space.

If anything I think the mount training should be universal among the characters. I can deal with the inventory space issue more than the mount since we can only raise that skill very very slowly except by using crowns to do such. That or they need to figure another way to raise mount training other than the limited options available or lower the timer or something.

Other than that I don't really need to be able to change my class in such a way.

What I'd like is the ability to learn all classes on the same character and switch between them at will (out of combat / dungeons), kind of like Final Fantasy 14. It would be in complete keeping with the Elder Scrolls series where your character can learn everything.

Idea is as stupid as it was in year one. Can't handle permanent choices? Poor you. Cry more. Yet more entitlement from the zero effort crowd though. Why am I not surprised.

Whats next? Start with a fully maxed character so you dont even have to bother playing the game at all? Riiiight.

Make time or go without. Sometimes I dont think people grasp what makes things valuable or an achievement at all. By all means keep whinging because you'll get what you want. Just don't cry when all meaning in the game is lost, combined with full p2w.

Well, it actually takes six months. LOL. It might take a short amount of time to get the new char to 50, but getting that new horse trained literally takes six months. Plus getting all those skyshards again takes a long time and a lot of running around.

But I think if they introduce class change, maybe they can limit it to once or twice per character, or something.

I don't see why not. We already have name-change and appearance-change tokens. Class-change tokens are the next logical step.

Wow so what your really saying is you want it due to your horse not being maxed

Changing classes is to play as another class. Creating new characters is to start the game again with no character progress (quests, exploration, etc). People will still want new characters to play the quests with different choices, make different levelling decisions, etc. The purposes and reasons behind class change and extra character slots are completely separate.

Why? Just make another character. It's fun. I've made all classes magicka and stamina.
There's nothing fun about completing all the quests and all the achievements again just to play a new class, unless that's specifically what you want to do. In which case you would create a new character anyway. The purpose of a class change token would be specifically so you didn't lose all your other character development decisions (i.e., the ones that are completely unrelated to class).

You should be able to buy a token to change to any class you've achieved level 50 in. If you haven't already played the class to 50, then no.

The way ZoS loves to throw the nerf ball around, it would be nice to switch to the flavor class of the month without having to constantly level up different toons.

Of course, since multiples of every class (all slots maxed), it's not as big of a deal for me, but I can see people who spend the time leveling up the various skills lines, the horse training and especially undaunted, it would be nice.

At the very least in the form of a single-use token that's awarded to your account when you purchase a DLC/"Chapter" that includes a new class. I couldn't believe the option wasn't included with Morrowind. ~Pibb

Why the restriction of levelling the class to 50, when it is already stated in the OP that the class skill lines would be reset and start from 0?

There's only...what, 5 classes now? Eight character slots......why reroll? Just make a new character.
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

Guild skills and Riding skills are completely unrelated to Class skills. There's no need to reset those as well. Analogy - if I quit my current job in climate research and start a new one in game development, I'll be starting that job from scratch, but the fact that I'm starting a new job doesn't affect my ability to play the drums.
