I remember old posts like this. And statistic about it is pretty interesting and funny. Something like this:
Do you want a class change token?
2015 - no, just no!
2016 - no
2017 - well...
2018 - hell yeah!
I think most of TESO players play this game like a singleplayer. They don't want to lose all their achivements, skill lines, tons of completed quests, shards, books etc... Thats why they want that token.
Because it's not a bad ideaWhite wabbit wrote: »God why won't this idea just die and go away

Why would people stop buying extra character slots if there was a class change token? I would rather have an additional character than keep paying to switch a character back and forth.
And why would that be a problem for ZOS? You can only open a character slot once. You can change a class multiple times.
Well, it actually takes six months. LOL. It might take a short amount of time to get the new char to 50, but getting that new horse trained literally takes six months. Plus getting all those skyshards again takes a long time and a lot of running around.White wabbit wrote: »Just level a new character doesn't take to long this just seems a lazy mans idea

But I think if they introduce class change, maybe they can limit it to once or twice per character, or something.
Changing classes is to play as another class. Creating new characters is to start the game again with no character progress (quests, exploration, etc). People will still want new characters to play the quests with different choices, make different levelling decisions, etc. The purposes and reasons behind class change and extra character slots are completely separate.White wabbit wrote: »Because you would just change the same character over and over and wouldn't need to buy extra slots , as I have said before it's not hard to level up a character I have one of eachDaveMoeDee wrote: »Why would people stop buying extra character slots if there was a class change token? There's nothing fun about completing all the quests and all the achievements again just to play a new class, unless that's specifically what you want to do. In which case you would create a new character anyway. The purpose of a class change token would be specifically so you didn't lose all your other character development decisions (i.e., the ones that are completely unrelated to class).aegisfire1975 wrote: »Why? Just make another character. It's fun. I've made all classes magicka and stamina.

Why the restriction of levelling the class to 50, when it is already stated in the OP that the class skill lines would be reset and start from 0?You should be able to buy a token to change to any class you've achieved level 50 in. If you haven't already played the class to 50, then no.
Guild skills and Riding skills are completely unrelated to Class skills. There's no need to reset those as well. Analogy - if I quit my current job in climate research and start a new one in game development, I'll be starting that job from scratch, but the fact that I'm starting a new job doesn't affect my ability to play the drums.White wabbit wrote: »Reset every skill then on class change , class , Mage guild , fighters guild , horse speed and undaunted as you wouldn't have earned it on that character
