Fixed it for you. PC players will be getting bugs and game crashes fixed for the console users first real patch, which console users will get possible faster than you would get for the entire update.

How many times do people have to say this. Console will get the exact same patch on June 6th as PC gets on May 22nd. We will not get bugs fixed faster. Maw has been unplayable for 80 DAYS.

80 DAYS. Bugs don't get fixed on console. They hide and reappear the next patch

They already have beta testers testing Morrowind, with an entire private forum dedicated to it. I don't know what their reasoning is, but it's not to beta test it on PC users.

LOL. I'm just trying to figure out what ZOS might be thinking, since I've been worried as heck these changes are going to DESTROY my favorite character. I'm afraid she'll be unplayable until I can fix her again, after the Nerf Patch of Doom guts her and stomps all over her innards. I was just trying to come up with a plausible explanation. I HOPE I'm right. It doesn't mean I AM right. :p

So....let me get this straight. Instead of having a few more patch updates on the PTS to give more time for bugs to be ironed out (I've given up hope of feedback being addressed), there's probably now only going to be only one more. Instead of me having over three weeks to play the game on this current patch, where I might have a chance of beating vMA before massive sustain nerf, I now have 12 days.

My enthusiasm for this game dips lower and lower.

The only thing you are losing is time on the current patch. The patch that is goin live for consoles on June 6th would have been the patch PC is getting on May 22nd because they need the extra 2 week window for certification for the console patches. PC gets nerfed sooner, thats it.

Christ you console people never stop whining. This is an exhausting treadmill. M$ and $ony REQUIRE REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCESS OF ALL PATCHES THAT TAKES 1-3 WEEKS. They can't give you early access because of this. If you've a problem with that go complain to M$ and $ony already.

For once a PC game is focusing on PC first. Why should we have to wait another week because of something unrelated to PC entirely. So tired of patches and releases in other games being pushed due to consoles. We don't even play together so why do you even care. What about the tons of console exclusive games that never make it to PC or do after like 4 years of being on console? We've a lot more to complain about than you in regards to equality...

While what you say may be true (Sony and MS causing it), I find it a little unlikely that both Microsoft and Sony have exactly the same date where everything is certified etc, I suspect one of them will be ready a day or two earlier, but they want to release to both consoles at the same time. That being the case (presuming I'm right, and I'm often wrong) I can understand them wishing the PC release was also held back for the same date.

All that said, console users, your better off waiting. Without braking the NDA I will say (and I'm far from being alone thinking this) that in my opinion, it being ready for June was very doubtful, them releasing it in May, just confirms my and many others
opinions on the PTS that actually giving Zos feedback is a waste of time as they ignore it all and are just going to release it anyway.

Just think of the morrowind starter quest they recently deemed fit to release to us all, npc missing in some inns, naked in others, disappearing on approach to others.

Console users will probably enjoy reading the forums come may 22nd. :)

Don't know, but maybe it's to stop people from rage-quitting over the new changes. Maybe they think that when people are able to play the game, we'll see the changes aren't as bad as we think they are.

I really, really wish that to be the case. But being a primary console player, a player on PC NA, a player on pts and a player with beta access to Morrowind...

    I can say this..

If you don't like placing dots and heavy attacking... you may want to look somewhere else...
If you want face paced action and combat... you may want to look somewhere else...

If you do in fact enjoy holding down lmb and doing nothing else... Morrowind is right up your alley.

Its highly reactionary to the mountains of negative feedback provided on the forums and on media websites when stories are posted.

This reeks of a desperate move to try and push more copies in preorder.

They can control their release to PC. They do have to go thru a cert process with consoles. They decided to pull up the only date they could in an attempt to move more units.

This should tell everyone something.. the strongest name in the ES stable... couldn't move units...

    @The_Patriarch

Not true just to share....two games I play now which are online games and server based for Xbox one both released content and announced it for PC on a Monday and sent to cert on Monday and released their update on Tuesday for Xbox one. They've been doing this for 6 months

The reality is that ZOS decides when to take down servers and when they want content they send for cert to be available. So while many keep throwing this out.....that's not a factor as some cert content happens the same day.

It's actually a ZOS poor decision process than anything.
And here's the thing....what the heck have they been doing from the time players were invited up to test....and that long pause to PTS when in January they announced their plans.

See the responsibility is on ZeniMax not Xbox and while zi can't speak for PS4, often times those dates differ so may 23rd should be within scope for Xbox one but ZOS decided otherwise

Too many to quote, but, apparently it doesn't matter what anyone says, you guys are going to continue to buy into the BS. Pretty much every other developer has managed to do what ZOS says they cannot do... and, what's worse, ZOS has managed to do what ZOS says they cannot do. They HAVE released patches within 24 hours of each other, the most recent being the Morrowind Prologue patch, which actually happened within mere hours of each other. I woke up that day, saw a new post about it being on PC and they were attempting to finish getting it on Xbox. I logged in, got the quest. So, the patch happened over night on all platforms.

ZOS can do it, they just choose not to. If anyone wishes to disagree, go check out... just about every other game on multiple platforms: FFXIV, ME:Andromeda, Division, Destiny, Magic the Gathering, etc etc etc... Why is it that ZOS is lying BLATANTLY to us?

Oh, and I don't remember which guy it was that said he had experience releasing games on Xbox... but, sorry, anecdotal evidence doesn't work, and even if it did, there are WAY too many examples showing you are wrong.

I get that for sure... But you would think that just the name Morrowind would be more than enough, wouldn't you? This 'chapter' has been under fire from a lot of the community since it hit the test servers... To me, it's nothing short of a PR stunt to try and stop the bleeding...

    But it could backfire badly.

If for some strange reason it releases with loads of bugs, or many of the PC early access players are disappointed, and they vent their disappointment on here and elsewhere, it could lead to many cancellations from console players in the run up to their release

I find it hilarious that this is the reason... FFXIV seems to be able to patch both PC/Console simultaneously with zero problems.... one might say they are professionals. (To be fair it's only 1 console PS3/4 but regardless they do it.)

FFXIV is cross platform I think, they cant have a newer version on pc than ps4. And thus they dont release it early for pc. its not the other way around (them releasing it early for ps4 as well). Dont quote me on this as I dont know for sure if it is cross platform.

No, but, the fact that they spontaneously decided to do this without ANY consideration of how the console players would feel? That proves that console will always be a forgotten, at best afterthought, group. If they had come out and said, "2 week early release for PC, and because we cannot do the same for consoles due to certifications, we are granting an XP increase, or an extra crown crate, or 100 crown gems, etc"? All console players want is to actually be INCLUDED in their decisions, not a "Oh, and consoles will eventually get it too, but whatever".

As many have pointed out, consoles are still battling TONS of bugs, glitches, and broken BS that was fixed on PC long ago, if PC even ever had the problems to begin with.

Btw, I played in Beta on PC, I used to play ON the PC. My friends all pre-ordered console versions because that's what some of them only play on, and some of us don't have extra money to afford $1200 machines, so we all generally agree to just play on console. I figured there was a chance they would do transfers, and I had the extra money, and an ok PC that ran the beta just fine, so I started there, and now play where all of my friends play.

The problem is that ZOS has shown that they CAN do these things, which means one of two possibilities:
1- They knew they would do early access all along, and now show **** poor planning and consideration for console players by not having already sent in the certification requests etc, and are increasing the value of pre-ordering on PC, which is ethically corrupt and wrong.
2- They spontaneously decided to give PC early release, cannot get the certs through fast enough, but, who cares, not like console players will feel wronged by the PC people getting 2 extra weeks to do all of the firsts, do guides, etc etc...

PC people really do not get how this is wrong, and that is such a shame, showing how selfish they are by not feeling like getting an extra for the same price wrongs others. Imagine, this is like waking up a week before Christmas to find that your parents have decided to start giving your sibling a present every day until Christmas, when both of you will get the normal amount of gifts on that day as well. Shouldn't your sibling stop and say, "What about them? Aren't you going to do SOMETHING to make it up to them, too?"

Im on console and i dont care... i feel great actually, and like that they did this.
