Fixed it for you. PC players will be getting bugs and game crashes fixed for the console users first real patch, which console users will get possible faster than you would get for the entire update.
They already have beta testers testing Morrowind, with an entire private forum dedicated to it. I don't know what their reasoning is, but it's not to beta test it on PC users.Fixed it for you. Everyone should not be debating over the Sony and MS thing... It's a smokescreen... wake up..
The real question is WHY the change of heart on release dates? That's what we all want to know.
Why since january has it been June 6th for ALL platforms?
Why today, was it announced that they want to do something 'special'?
I think everyone fully understands that there can be delays between console and pc releases of games and we are letting ZOS and @ZOS_GinaBruno off the hook by arguing with each other when we should be demanding to know WHY this decision was made to go early. To be clear, that's what this is.
Clearly, in the posts made, a decision was made to green light PC earlier than anticipated. We just want to know the WHY??

Instead of having a few more patch updates on the PTS to give more time for bugs to be ironed out (I've given up hope of feedback being addressed), there's probably now only going to be only one more. Instead of me having over three weeks to play the game on this current patch, where I might have a chance of beating vMA before massive sustain nerf, I now have 12 days.
My enthusiasm for this game dips lower and lower.
Christ you console people never stop whining. This is an exhausting treadmill. M$ and $ony REQUIRE REVIEW AND APPROVAL PROCESS OF ALL PATCHES THAT TAKES 1-3 WEEKS. They can't give you early access because of this. If you've a problem with that go complain to M$ and $ony already.
For once a PC game is focusing on PC first. Why should we have to wait another week because of something unrelated to PC entirely. So tired of patches and releases in other games being pushed due to consoles. We don't even play together so why do you even care. What about the tons of console exclusive games that never make it to PC or do after like 4 years of being on console? We've a lot more to complain about than you in regards to equality...

True but it's all they could do given the cert process. This move smells like a reactionary decision to me.

Uninstalling over a 2 week time period ? ESO's been out for 3 years how do you even compare
Too many to quote, but, apparently it doesn't matter what anyone says, you guys are going to continue to buy into the BS. Pretty much every other developer has managed to do what ZOS says they cannot do... and, what's worse, ZOS has managed to do what ZOS says they cannot do. They HAVE released patches within 24 hours of each other, the most recent being the Morrowind Prologue patch, which actually happened within mere hours of each other. I woke up that day, saw a new post about it being on PC and they were attempting to finish getting it on Xbox. I logged in, got the quest. So, the patch happened over night on all platforms.
ZOS can do it, they just choose not to. If anyone wishes to disagree, go check out... just about every other game on multiple platforms: FFXIV, ME:Andromeda, Division, Destiny, Magic the Gathering, etc etc etc... Why is it that ZOS is lying BLATANTLY to us?
Oh, and I don't remember which guy it was that said he had experience releasing games on Xbox... but, sorry, anecdotal evidence doesn't work, and even if it did, there are WAY too many examples showing you are wrong.

Because early access helps generate buzz and sales?
I get that for sure... But you would think that just the name Morrowind would be more than enough, wouldn't you? This 'chapter' has been under fire from a lot of the community since it hit the test servers... To me, it's nothing short of a PR stunt to try and stop the bleeding...

I find it hilarious that this is the reason... FFXIV seems to be able to patch both PC/Console simultaneously with zero problems.... one might say they are professionals. (To be fair it's only 1 console PS3/4 but regardless they do it.)

So if they initially had no plans for early release, but decided to do it early tlfor whatever reasons on pc, you are saying that zos has the authority to tell sony and microsoft to do their will?
You speak as if you know fact, when you just dont know. Its all speculation.

PC people really do not get how this is wrong, and that is such a shame, showing how selfish they are by not feeling like getting an extra for the same price wrongs others. Imagine, this is like waking up a week before Christmas to find that your parents have decided to start giving your sibling a present every day until Christmas, when both of you will get the normal amount of gifts on that day as well. Shouldn't your sibling stop and say, "What about them? Aren't you going to do SOMETHING to make it up to them, too?"

No, but, the fact that they spontaneously decided to do this without ANY consideration of how the console players would feel? That proves that console will always be a forgotten, at best afterthought, group. If they had come out and said, "2 week early release for PC, and because we cannot do the same for consoles due to certifications, we are granting an XP increase, or an extra crown crate, or 100 crown gems, etc"? All console players want is to actually be INCLUDED in their decisions, not a "Oh, and consoles will eventually get it too, but whatever".
As many have pointed out, consoles are still battling TONS of bugs, glitches, and broken BS that was fixed on PC long ago, if PC even ever had the problems to begin with.
Btw, I played in Beta on PC, I used to play ON the PC. My friends all pre-ordered console versions because that's what some of them only play on, and some of us don't have extra money to afford $1200 machines, so we all generally agree to just play on console. I figured there was a chance they would do transfers, and I had the extra money, and an ok PC that ran the beta just fine, so I started there, and now play where all of my friends play.
The problem is that ZOS has shown that they CAN do these things, which means one of two possibilities:
1- They knew they would do early access all along, and now show **** poor planning and consideration for console players by not having already sent in the certification requests etc, and are increasing the value of pre-ordering on PC, which is ethically corrupt and wrong.
2- They spontaneously decided to give PC early release, cannot get the certs through fast enough, but, who cares, not like console players will feel wronged by the PC people getting 2 extra weeks to do all of the firsts, do guides, etc etc...
